  • My iphone will not turn on after I replaced the battery

My iphone will not turn on after I replaced the battery, itunes logo comes up, but it will not connect and does not reset! does anyone know what I can do?

Who replaced the battery, you, Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider? If you did it yourself, then you could have done anything to disable it. It also voids any warranty and post-warranty support from Apple and the forum. You are on your own. If Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider replaced it, then take it back and have them check it.
The iPhone does not have a user replaceable battery, or user serviceable parts. It is meant to only be serviced by Apple, or authorized service providers.

  • My iPhone will not turn on after a yet another blue screen of death. Please help!

As mentioned above, my phone will not turn on after a yet another blue screen of death. All of a sudden it turned off, and it wouldn't turn on for quite some time, even after I plugged it in the charger. It wasn't long after the screen turned on, but it only displayed a bright black. I decided to turn it on and off a few times. Nothing worked.
I have also tried to call the phone from another one. It was as if the phone was simply off.

  • HT4528 My IPhone will not turn on, I charged it last night and during a phone call it shut off and will not come back on.

My IPhone will not turn on, I charged it last night and it had a complete charge and during a phone call it just died and will not come back on.

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

  • IPhone will not turn on after Sleep during Camera app.

Over the last two months, my iPhone has refused to turn on 4 times. In each of the cases, I was using the Camera app and pressed the sleep/wake button while still in the app.
In all cases, I was able to reset the phone (sleep+home for 10 sec.) However, what really bothers me is that two of the times, the battery was fully drained (from about 85% in about 4 hours). I have a feeling the Camera app is still running even though the screen is dark and unresponsive.
I have tried unsuccessfully to replicate the problem intentionally.
Does this sound like a HW or SW issue? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

This happened to me just last night. I was looking at photos (as opposed to taking them), left the photo showing and let phone sit on the table until it slept... it just didn't wake. Thought it was a battery issue (I was down to about 30% remaining), but connecting to power did not wake the phone. Plugged in overnight, but nothing changed, and no battery charging took place.
Power+Home restart did wake it this morning, but this was a bit disconcerting to say the least. I'm almost hesitant to want to replicate the behaviour.
FYI, I spent the weekend taking pictures using Camera, then putting it to sleep until the next picture. iPhone always woke fine, but after using Camera to view the pictures last night it didn't wake up.

  • HT4623 IPhone 5S will not turn on after newest update.  HELP!

    Hey all,
I agreed to update my IPhone5s last evening and went to bed.  Now the phone is off and will not turn on.  Any suggestions?

    Try this:
Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, try the reset again as described above.

  • A1000l-f will not turn on after firmware update

i bought my tablet last night  as a black friday sale item from office depot and it was working fine for about 2 hours. it then said i needed to update my firmware so i did. after a minute or two a screen popped up stating it needed to shutdown or something and did i want to do this now or in 30/60/90 minutes. i picked for it to do it now. i went for a walk and ever since then the dang thing will not turn on, it will do nothing. no vibrations, no noises, nothing. the back sticker says it is an a1000L-F, but it is an 8gb so i am assuming it is not an actual F? any help? the battery was at 68% and plugged in/charging when i updated the firmware. i also left it plugged in and charging all night (10 hours) and still does nothing.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

well, before taking it back to the store i tried plugging it into my iphone base charger/plug. turned right on! not sure why it died so fast when it was at "68%" while plugged in charging...but it did. i charged it to 100% and it has worked perfectly fine ever since. maybe the charger plug that comes with this thing sucks, i dont know....but it works now just fine.

  • Macbook will not turn on. I"ve tried all recommended troubleshooting steps.

Early today, my macbook froze up. This has happened before and I did not think much of it, so I did like always and held down the power button until it shut off. Then I tried restarting it. At the start up screen where it asks for my password, I could not type it in because the screen was still frozen. I tried again to restart it and now it will not turn on at all! It does not make any sounds as though it is attempting to start or anything of that sort. Nothing happens when I try holding the power button. I've tried holding it down for 10 seconds, disconnecting the power cord, disconnecting the battery and holding the power button for 5 seconds, and I've tried holding the command, control, and power buttons down together. Is there anything else I can try to get it to start, or should I just make a genius bar appointment? I've had problems with this macbook before--including a hard drive crash and a kernal panic. Not sure if those might have anything to do with this issue.
    I'm frustrated!
    Thanks for any tips.

You are going to need to get that looked at. You got a battery or logic board issue going on there.

  • My iPhone will not turn on after i locked it

so my iphones working perfectly fine and i up it on lock for literally 30 seconds to put on a shirt. when i return to unlock it, it wouldnt turn on. i have never dropped my iphone or had watr damage. the battery was full when right before it stopped working. i have tried pugging it into my computer and i have tried charging it. i have held down all the buttons in all the ways possible but it will not work. its just a blank black screen

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-60 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

  • IPhone will not turn on after restore:

Hi guys, I tried to update my iPhone and it wouldn't update, so I restored it then there was an error (1015) so I tried to turn on my iPhone but it kept displaying the screen it does as if it were connected to itunes (even though I disconnected it). So, I tried to restore it again, same thing happened! Now it won't even load up again - As soon as press the button for it to turn on, it gets past the Apple logo bit then goes straight to the screen as if it were connected to itunes again! Really frustrating as I just bought it on Wednesday. Any helpful information would be amazingly appreciated! Thanks.

It sounds a lot like the phone was 'hacked' to unlock it. This has been known to cause permanent damage that can not be reversed. You can try a hard reset. Hold power and home together for 20-30 seconds. It should display the Apple logo and boot.
If it does not, you may as well just buy a new, legitimately unlocked phone or one that works with your carrier.
Discussing hacked or jailbroken devices is a violation of the terms of service here. That's about all we can advise. There are no 'parts' you can change that will fix this.

  • My iphone will not turn on after update

    Hi all.
I was wondering if you could help me.
I tried to update my phone last night. I had a number of error codes and was then met with the task of having to restore my phone.
I restored it and it failed.
All that happens is the apple logo comes on and the 'egg timer'. I can not turn it on. I have tried to press the sleep and home buttons..but no joy.
I tried this morning and my PC would not recongnise my  iphone and neither would iTunes.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • T440s will not turn on after BIOS update

I have been using Windows 10 Pro 64bit for a month with only 1 persistent issue which was that the Intel Management Engine would give errors that it wouldn't shake hands with the firmware. The event error stated it was related to MEIx64. I've tried several different drivers, and different versions of Intel Management Engine but still had the same issue. So I decided to update my bios as I was on the 2.17 version. I followed the instructions step-by-step including deregistering from AMT or something in the bios. Once I ran the update utlitiy as admin within Windows it began the update and then the laptop completely shut down. So I left it for a little bit thinking it was doing something. It never turned on and now it still won't turn on.  The screen will stay black, no backlight at all of any kind. The power LED on the power button turns on (and the keyboard lights) for about 3 seconds then it turns off and makes a quiet pop sound. It then turns on automatically but with the same issue of no LCD screen, no backlight, then after about 20-30 seconds it turns off making the pop sound again.  Also, when I plug the AC power in, the power LED blinks 3 times. Not sure if this is normal or not. I've tried removing battery and AC, pressing power button 10 times at 1 second intervals and then holding power button for 30 seconds to no avail. I've tried the emergency reset button on the bottom of the laptop. I've unplugged the CMOS battery for about 30 seconds and tried again, all to no avail. I've also tried putting a bootable CD in my external CD drive to no avail. I do have an active warranty (3EZ - depot) until 2017. Is there ANYTHING else I can do to get this thing fixed???? PS - It appears to have an internal backup battery which I have not taken out. I'm trying to avoid having to really open this thing up and start removing stuff. Thanks

Haven't gotten a reply at all so I filled out a service request and Lenovo shipped a box to put my laptop in and it ships today next day air. Thank goodness for warranties.

  • EMac will not turn on after downloading updates

    Hey everyone,
Yesterday my wife downloaded some updates for her eMac and now we can't get it to turn on. I've checked the power supply and it is there. When we push the power button it sounds like the monitor is trying to turn on but nothing else happens. Any thoughts? Thanks for your time

    mtntrekker30,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
I'd suggest trying a double approach as one operation: reset the power supply and reset OpenFirmware and NVRAM. To do this, with the computer off, unplug everything except the Apple keyboard and mouse, including pulling the power cord from the side of the eMac. This removes the trickle current drawn by modern electronics even when nominally off. Wait 15+ minutes, then reattach the power cord only.
Next, press the power button, then hold down the command-option-o-f keys until you see the message "Welcome to Open Firmware" (black text on a white screen with a command line prompt at the bottom). Type in the following commands and press return after each (case sensitive, no spaces):
    reset-nvram
    set-defaults
    reset-all
The Mac should restart after reset-all (if it doesn't, type mac-boot and press Return)
Reesetting NVRAM can be thought of as a superset of resetting PRAM; you may need to change some of your settings in System Preferences afterwards (refer to Mac OS X: What's stored in PRAM?)
Be aware that if this works, the startup will take significantly longer than usual at the white screen/Apple logo/spinning wheel stage. Part of this will be due to the updates, most will be due to the system running a silent version of Disk Utility's Repair Disk function before continuing to the OS X startup screen. Give it plenty of time.
