****o, i putted iphone 3gs for updating software from itunes at night and at the morning iphone was not updated and iphone was reset now i am trying to set up iphone from itunes but itunes is showing message "we're sorry,we are unable to continue with your activation at this time." so, please any body can help me so i can set up my iphone.

Apparently your iPhone was hacked to unofficially unlock it and it has now relocked to the original carrier. Call AppleCare, give them the IMEI number of your iPhone and tell them you just want to know which cell carrier it is locked to. Then contact that cell carrier to find out their unlock policy and whether you qualify.

I have had the same problem with iPad recently not too sure why it happened but if you are completing a full reset anyway the easiest way is the restore via itunes on your computer and then set up a new passcode again. Resetting via itunes doesnt require a passcode so it should go straight through.

Why does my macbook pro forget the wifi network when i only set the iPhone to forget it?

i just dont get. what is the logic behind the mac synchronises network access between devices? i set my iPhone to forget a certain wifi network and now my macbook pro also forgot it, so i had to reset my router for this. pretty annoying. any workaround if i want iCloud to keep my passwords synchronised but not sure up the network access instantly on all devices?

I had to call Apple and the tech made me enter a bunch of terminal commands to fix this. Unfortunately I can't tell you excactly what it was. I think the best way would be to call Apple.

I know you can set the iPhone to "forget" a network you've previously joined. But, how about my neighbour's network that's locked, that I've never joined, and keeps prompting me to join it? Can I tell the iPhone to ignore it?

Maybe if enough people voice the request for this feature, Apple will finally implement it. Add one more user to that list.
It seems backwards to me that you can only "forget" a network that you have already joined. Why would I want to do that?? I want to "forget" the annoying secured network next door that I CAN'T join, because it pops up and asks me every single day of my life, and I want to block it while still automatically joining unsecured networks. If Apple can't figure out how to do that, then they should at least add the option to ignore secured networks.

And you are not going to autosync your iPod with the MacBook unless you tell it to sync or plug it in.
You can enable Automatic downloads when you make a purchase.
iTunes settings > Store.
When you make a purchase, it will automatically download that purchase to devices set up the same way.
This is not the same as autosyncing your device to your computer (as you first asked).

With AT&T you can click on the phone icon - go to voicemial and at the top left where it says greetings click on it and you can set your voicemail greeting.

Resetting should not have deleted your data.
But if you backed your phone up to iTunes or iCloud you should be able to restore it from there.
