I think you can fix by plugging it in and restore plus back up. Go to apple.com to see if there would be another way.

You can login to your iCloud account and remove the iPhone for our devices and then restore by the recovery mode as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 or you can do a remote erase from the iCloud account.

I want to be able to setup a user mobile account, with the home directory stored locally and not synced to the server. What is the best way to do this? I am running Server 10.6 with 10.6 clients. Open Directory will be used to authenticate and manage preferences. Also, this one account will be used simultaneosly in a computer lab setting, so files will be stored locally in the client, hence the need to NOT sync to the server. Any Ideas?

You can't. You will have to place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

IF you forget your email and password and you are stuck in the activation process, it usually gives you a clue on what is your email like w********[email protected] If you really own the phone, you already have a clue on what is that email add. Then go to appleid.apple.com, click on manage my device, enter what you think is your email addy (no harm in trying that it wont lock) then click on i forget password. This will give you an option to either sent the password to an alternate email. If you have several, then sad to say you have to open it one by one and check including your spam mails. Another option is to answer some security questions you made while creating an apple id. Your last option is to call apple support. If you know the email add and you can prove ownership, they can reset the password for you

You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations, so if you only had one installation, you still have the option to install on a second without doing anything further than that. Then try to order. HOWEVER, you still may not be able to order. Over here in the States the shipping address must be in the same country as the billing address of the credit card used. It may be the same way over in Europe.
