HT201263 unable to activate or restore the i phone

after updating the iphone i am unable to activate the device

Did you have modified software installed before the phone was updated? If yes, jailbreaking can block the activation and there is nothing you can do about it.
Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues
Did you change the provider and has the phone been officially unlocked before you tried to update the device?

  • Unable to activate or deactivate the Correlation policy

After creating a correlation policy with complex conditions, I am unable to activate or deactivate the policy.

    Reason
This issue occurs when a complex condition is created, and one of the sub conditions is deleted. In the case below, the correlation rule is missing a sub condition that would have been used together with the Rule Message condition, but it has been deleted. The following screenshot shows a similar situation.
    Workaround
The workaround of this issue is to delete the "indented" broken complex condition, and adding it back to the rule as a regular condition.

  • HT201407 unable to activate after restore and update

I decided to update the iOS on my wife's 3GS phone but was unable to activate the phone again afterward. This phone was originally locked to a French provider FSR and the phone still thinks it is associated with that provider somehow. Contacted Apple support and have restored the phone but still no luck on activation. Ran out of time to deal with this yesterday so I am back again now looking for a solution. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
The message I receive is "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time." "Please try again later or contact customer care"

iPhones require a SIM for activation.
If the device still will not activate, this is typically the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken.  If that is the case, no support can be provided here.

    Or it is probably jailbroken.

  • HT201407 iPhone unable to activate after restore

    Hi,
I have just restored my old iPhone 3GS 8GB (without a sim card in it) as I was going to sell it. However after restoring it via iTunes a message appears "we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. Please try again later, or contact customer care"
I have tried it several times but get the same message, any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Every 2 to 3 mouse clicks, I am unable to activate any of the controls on the web page.

Current workaround involves having task manager on screen, clicking in it to activate it & then continuing on the web page for another 2 or 3 clicks. I've had to go back to V3.0.19 as the latest version was crucifying my system performance with container.exe
I'm running firefox on a win XP system. I was running the latest version up until about a week ago, but it is too processor hungry and ran painfully slow after it had been on for a while. So I reverted back to an older version, which I don't recall having any issues with in the past.
I always use the internet in a limited user account, and I have no anti virus software running.
When I reverted back to the previous version, I kept all my current settings. Is it possible that some of the retained settings are incompatible?

    Force iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times.

  • HT201263 Unable to update or restore due to password lock.

I have an Ipod touch 4g (front and rear facing camera). I bought it last year and synced it to a laptop i no longer have now that I use Itunes on the device itself. I use my ipod at the gym i work at to play music for the entire gym. Someone decided to play around with it and add a password to it without telling me. Needless to say, my Ipod is locked and since I do not have the laptop that it was originally synced with I cannot use it now. I have tried the steps on your website and have been unable to reslove the issue, but each time it comes up that Itunes cannot sync due to password lock. I can't have the password sent to an an email because Ipod's don't have that function for some odd reason. I need to get this thing working. Help me out.

    Hi Prasath_M,
Thank you for your post and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Please see this link for a list of different applications that can help you open and view VCF files.  The easiest way to access the data may be to open it in Outlook.
Note that you can also restore your contact data using Nokia PC Suite, all you need to do is to copy the VCF file back to Nokia Communication Centre in Contacts window. This way you do not need to open the file and copy the information by hand.
    Hope this helps!
