Previously, I could sync my nano, eject, insert wife’s shuffle, re-sync, and my latest playlists would sync to her iPod. That sequence isn’t working

If you are using the latest iTunes (11.4) then I suggest that you wait for the next update to iTunes as there do appear to be some issues with the current release. I'm sure that Apple are aware of the probelms and are working to fix them with the next release.
In the meantime, if you receive any other helpful and useful suggestions, by all means try them.

End goal: I want to sync calendars between my iPod touch & my spouse's.
I was told I needed to set up iCloud, but (after a LONG time of figuring out that my 2nd gen can't support iOS6) it seems like that can't happen. Is there another way to sync calendars? I can already (sort-of) sync with the outlook calendar on my desktop PC.

You only need iOS 5 or higher to use iCloud, but that won't help since the 2nd gen iPod Touch can't be updated beyond iOS 4.2.1. Your other options for sharing your calendar are to sync both devices with Outlook on the same computer (as you are doing), or use a different cloud option such as Google (where you could set up a gmail account as an exchange account on both devices as shown here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740, and enable calendar syncing).

I use Microsoft Works on my PC and iTunes does not recognize the Works calendar. Therefore I use the iPod's Apps calendar. I recently purchased an identical iPod for my wife and can't find a way to sync the calendars between the two iPods.

Syncing Playlists between different iPods

I have a few different iPods. One of them as a handful of AWESOME playlists that I'd like to put on my other iPod (my sister wants them).
I don't want to take the time to recreate every playlist everytime I want to transfer one.
Their all synced to the same, this, computer. I though it would be as simple as dragging the playlist off one iPod, into iTunes, then to another iPod. But I can not +drag and drop+ or transfter playlists off my iPod.
Any help is much appreciated.

My Playlists are just normal ones. Some of them I created by hand in iTunes, some I used the "On The Go" feature on the iPod itself.
I Manually sync and manage all of my playlists/movies/music, everything.
I can NOT manually drag and drop playlists off my iPod. Can't transfter them to my other ipods nor my computer. I figure there has to be a file in the iPod control folder on my iPod, or something.
Also, I found some flaws in that artical, helpful as it was.
Such as "Note: iTunes for Windows does not support having multiple iPods connected simultaneously." Thats wrong. The Windows version of iTunes DOES support having multiple iPods connected simultaneously. I'm doing it right now. I can even be transfering music to both at the same time.

Sync apps between two ipods?

I have two ipods touches (one 4th gen, one 5th gen). The games I played for years on the 4th gen are now loaded on the new 5th gen. I want to be able to play the apps/games on either ipod and have the other one stay sync'd with scores, results, ect. Is there a way to do that?

Hey Mike hopefully that can solve your problem ,i know it dont solve mine you will get games but not the points twindragons games they know me but all my credits are on my old ipod not my new one..Some games do but others dont.if you find a solution please let me know.thanks Dave

How to sync playlists between iTunes computers?

I have a main server in the house that also acts as an iTunes server for streaming songs/movies etc to my various Apple TV's around the house. The main server has iTunes on it (obviously), but I do not have easy access to the server as it is locked away in the loft of the house. For day to day iTunes use I tend to use my laptop in my home office and that's where I tend to make up my playlists, arrange my music and do downloads from the iTunes store..
The server in the loft is set to automatically transfer purchases made on my laptop and this generally works fine. However, what I find frustrating is that my playlists do not sync, and any new tunes dowloaded and placed into playlists on my laptop are not automatically added to the correct playlist on the server (which is supposed to be an exact mirror of my laptop iTunes library).
Would it be possible for apple to add an option to automatically sync playlists (to the /Settings/Home sharing,/automatically transfer new purchases: music, films, books, apps, Tv options)?... Or am I missing something and there's already an easy way to do this. I can't believe i'm the only person that has this request, but i've searched the forum and can find nothing on this topic.

The feature you are asking about is not there so you are not missing anything. The only way to get Apple's attention regarding this matter is to send them feedback. If enough people request a feature maybe Apple will impliment it.

Is there a way to sync calendars between my wife's Mac and my Mac without Mobile Me? They are in the same house and I don't see the need to go thousands of miles and over the Internet for that purpose. Thanks.

Yes, you pretty much just drag and drop or copy and paste depending on which way you like better. It is pretty much like connecting an external hard drive. Just find the files you want and copy them over to your other computer.
This is one of my favorite features from Macs. It's very simple to do and because it's Firewire even large files transfer over very quickly.

If you google for FIM and syncing the GAL you should find what you need. You don't need to establish a trust and you can get away without even setting up DNS but it's better to at least have DNS between your FIM server and each of the servers you're connecting
to. You can put FIM in either Forest or neither. The reason is that the Management Agents (or connectors) can authenticate from outside the domain. If you're using PCNS it gets more complicated though.

there are buttons on the wrapper WDA view, and the inside view accept user input.
i am wondering that is there an easy way to syn the context between them?
that is when i click on the button on the outside view, it will start to sync the context with the inside view.

I want to add another detail about the problem:
Not all of the context in the inner view is mapped to the wrapper. Because some of the context is unknow in design time. We are doing a framework, and leave the implement to others.
How can we get the context of the inner view when user do some action in the wrapper?

My wife and I just got Iphones. We would like to create all our contacts on one Iphone or even somewhere else and then copy all of that info into the phone or phones. I have searched but can't seem to find how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact info is designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer. With Windows XP and Vista, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007 - which can be used for syncing calendar events also, or with the address book used by Outlook Express with XP, or with the address book used by Windows Mail with Vista - the name change for OE with Vista. I believe this address book is called Windows Contacts.
With a Mac, this can be with the Address Book app, or with the Entourage address book - Microsoft's equivalent for Outlook on a Mac.

I had a 3GS synced with a iTunes library on the windows laptop, all my content is there. I just bought a desktop MAC and a 5S phone
I downloaded iTunes for the MAC and synced 5S to it.
Than I connected 5S to the old iTunes on the laptop and tried to sync
Got a warning there can be only one iTunes library but the only option was to erase laptop library and sync to Mac
I need to do the opposite- sync 5S to laptop iTunes library and then transfer the library to MAC.

It's possible to share between two computers but not two iPods, change the settings for the pod to manual > Edit > Preferences > iPod.

Using Lightroom Cloud to Sync Catalog Between Two Machines

I have use of so many cloud services including the 20gb that Adobe gives me. Is there a way i can sync my catalog on the cloud so that i can have all my metadata on both my laptop and desk top? I also have 300gb of cloud storage though Copy. I would just like some recomendations on how best to go about it. Thanks

Using Lightroom Cloud to Sync Catalog Between Two Machines
If you’re running Lightroom on a laptop during your location shoots, you might want to take all the edits, keywords, metadata, and of course the photos themselves, and add them to the Lightroom catalog on your studio computer. It’s easier than it sounds: basically, you choose which catalog to export from your laptop, then you take the folder it creates over to your studio computer and import it.
You need to decide whether you want to export a folder (all the imported photos from your shoot), or a collection (just your Picks from the shoot). In this case, we’ll go with a collection, so go to the Collections panel and click on the collection you want to merge with your main catalog back in your studio. (If you had chosen a folder, the only difference would be you’d go to the Folders panel and click on the folder from that shoot instead. Either way, all the metadata you added, and any edits you made in Lightroom, will still be transferred over to the other machine.)
