  • I cannot load music onto my iTunes

    Hey all,
I have read the previous threat on troubleshooting ( my itunes wont load music).
I have follwed all the steps, but my itunes wont load the music. Before, I upgraded to the
new itunes the very same files were on my itunes, not only certain songs are showing.
I have tried the add folder to itunes command and selected the files but nothing happens.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

Try to drag and drop music files to iTunes application window. It should automatically copy the files to its default iTunes Media folder and allow you to play music.
    Hope this helps.

  • I cannot play music on my iphone 5 since I updated iTunes.

I have updated my mac and mac air on Friday.
Now my ringtones and text tones are gone as well as I am unable to play any music that is on the phone.
My car stereo can't play any music when connected to, and even the Bluetooth is not working.
When I try to select a song goes on to the play mode and continuously skipping to the other songs without stopping.
I have apple care for my phone but the call center is closed and I am going mad.
What do I do know?  please help

  • HT2736 I'm trying to send my sister who lives in the UK, a birding app, but when she tries to load it onto her iPhone, it complains and says it was purchased in the US, and cannot be loaded in the UK.  What kind of nonsense is this?  What's the solution?

I"m trying to gift my sister who lives in the UK a birding app, but when she tries to load it onto her iPhone, it complains and says a US purchased app cannot be loaded into a UK iPhone account.  What kind of nonsense is this?  what's the solution?

You can currently only gift content (apps, music, gift certificates) to people whose account is based in the same country as yourself - so if you and your account are not UK-based then you can't gift to a UK account holder. You can either try resending it to somebody who is in the US with a US account (resending) or try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes.  I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue.  If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can.  Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.
    Hope this helps

    Shame shame

  • Why can't I load music onto iPhone 4?

I can't load any music onto my iPhone 4. Here is a screen shot of iTunes which says I have 1.51 GB of free memory and I'm only trying to load a few MB of music onto it. It gives me an error message that I need something like 540 MB more memory. It also says I have a bunch of music on my iPhone which I don't. (I have like 1 song on the phone right now.) What should I do?

Hi, it's not that iTunes doesn't work, but required you more more space for the songs. I think you should try to clean some space and try to sync music to your iPhone again. And before doing the sync, you can check how much space has been taken for music (tap Settings > General > Usage > Music). If you say only 1 song is here, then maybe it only take several KB. If there are other songs, there maybe several MB.

  • I got a new SSD and I cannot put anything onto my iPhone 4S through the SSD, but I can on my old HDD. How can I fix this issue?

So recently I purchased a 250g SSD for my new build, while still keeping my old 1TB HDD. Whenver I try to use iTunes (the latest), I cannot transfer ANYTHING onto my iPhone 4S. There is no "Add to" button, nor can I drag and drop. However, I can do both on my old HDD. I also own an iPad 4, which I can easily use on both drives. This is quite annoying because I have to restart my computer just to add music or videos, etc. I do not want to sync because I will lose all of my music, or whatever else it takes, and I do not want that.
So how can I enable file transferring on my new SSD?

Move the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer, or drives in this case.
iDevices are designed to only sync to one library (computer).  Attempts to sync with a new library will require removing all media from the device and replacing with media from the new library.

  • Can you drag-and-drop music onto the iPhone in iTunes?

New to iPhone and only just braking it in, as it were.
It looks like the only way I can upload music onto my iPhone is via synching my entire library onto it. Which, if I may say so, is an incredibly stupid and debilitating design - amongst other severe shortcomings of the iPhone I am slowly discovering over time. Is it not possible to drag-and-drop like the good old iPods?
If this is indeed the only way to load music, what's the easiest I can pick out my favorite 2000-or so tunes and put them on there?? Don't tell me it's clicking on the boxes next to the songs in the Library page, because that's when I will start asking for my money back...
    Cheers

I don't blame this person whatsoever for making the assumption that the iPod portion of his phone would work similarily, if not the same, as the iPod.
But it does work the same as the iPod. As with an iPod, you can sync all songs and playlists, or selected playlists, or you can manually manage music and videos. You can also select sync only checked songs and videos under the Summary tab and uncheck the songs in your iTunes library that you don't want transferred to your iPhone. This can be used with syncing selected playlists - if you want to remove a song from your iPhone that is in a selected playlist without removing the song from the playlist in iTunes, you uncheck the song in the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. There is no difference with an iPod in this regard except for the iPhone not supporting disk mode.
In order to manually manage music and videos with an iPod, you must select this under the Summary tab for the iPod sync preferences, and the same for the iPhone.
And if you resent his rant, why respond and waste your volunteer time on this post?
I can waste my time anyway I see fit. If you don't like it, don't respond.
And not everyone can afford to replace this type of investment on a whim.
    Copied from the OP's post.
Don't tell me it's clicking on the boxes next to the songs in the Library page, *because that's when I will start asking for my money back...*
Or the iPhone can be sold to someone else with the proceeds used to purchase a different phone. I haven't read any reports about someone having trouble selling their iPhone used at a good price even if damaged.

  • Loading music on to iPhone by album?

    Hi All,
Is there a way to change the settings in itunes to upload music by album name to your iPhone, instead of just playlist, artist & genre.
    Thanks

Sorry it was not 100% clear. When loading music to my iphone currently it will only let me load all my music or select a genre eg artist, playlist etc. But i want to be able to load by album name. As some albums are compellations so currently i would have to select each person individually. As i don't want to load all my music onto my phone.
My ipod touch has the function i want, but is not the same on my iphone.
    Thanks

  • My itunes wont let me put music onto my iphone

My itunes wont let me put music onto my iphone or take music off. Everytime I go to sync it it says I dont have enough space but I clearly have more than enough space left. I also am trying to take music off of my iphone so I can put new music on but everytime this box pops up and I really dont know what to do.

I think you have misunderstood the message you see.
The message states that you need an additional 1.93GB as well as the 3.93GB shown in the capacity bar. So it requires a total of 5.86GB.
There are a couple of things you can try:
Click on the OK button (in that message) and then deselect the media that you wish to remove. Once you have un-ticked the Playlists, or albums or whatever, click on the Sync button again to allow iTunes to Sync. It will then remove the un-ticked items, leaving space to add the 5.86GB that you are trying to add. If you continue to see the same message, but with a smaller additional amount required, then you have not deselected enough items.
Check how much space is being used by the "Other" category (shown in the capacity bar). While there will always be a small amount of Other on an iPod, anything over 1GB is probably not correct. Usually, a Sync will sort this out. If it doesn't then you may have to perform a Restore procedure, but I suggest you use that only as a last resort.

I have the last itunes 10.6.3. which was supported by apple.
itunes will not interact with my iphone on any level.
Apple made all the equipment I use.
Bentley and Ferrari etc do not stop making parts for their cars?
    The least Apple could is.
    A. Update itunes to run on a G5
Regarding iOS 7.0 you have totally lost the plot.
    We buy apple why?
    Quality.
    Intuitive interface.
    Stable software.
    Design.
All that Steve Jobs consider sacrosanct.
Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

My post on facebook this morning.
If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Overly complicated ugly and generally change for the sake of apples paranoia since the death of Steve Jobs.

You need to update iTunes to 11.1 on your PC

  • I just got a brand new laptop and I can't seem to put music onto my iPhone - help?

I just got a brand new laptop and I can't seem to put music onto my iPhone - help? I'd really rather not completely empty my iPhone in order to have it agree with this new laptop. How do I get them to talk to one another and let me put my music on my iPhone?

The iPhone will only Sync to One iTunes Library at a time.
