I've backed up the 4 to iTunes and then tried to restore the 5 from this backup. It goes all the way across the progress bar and then at the last second says it has failed. Please help?

Hi, I have nothing else USB related plugged in, just my iPhone. I'm on my laptop so do not have a USB keyboard or similar.

See turingtest2's user tip on Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. You should, however, maintain your library on your PC and maintain a regular backup of it. iPhones are neither designed as nor suitable as data storage devices.

The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.

This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

Your account names are probably different on the two Macs. If you know the UNIX command line, open a terminal window and run:
$ id
You should see a line that starts with something like this:
uid=501(your_user_id_here)
now check the owner of the folder you copied over:
$ ls -ld Music
drwx------+ 8 some_user_id_here staff 272 May 14 16:08 Music
Do the IDs match? If not, you could change the ownership. Say your id is "johnsmith"
$ chown -R johnsmith Music
Now try and access it with iTunes.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Flash Player is not supported on Windows Phone. At this time, there are no plans to support Windows Phone. I am not aware of alternatives on Windows Phone OS for viewing Flash content.

Another option is to open with Illustrator - AI files are basically PDFs anyway. This won't work for security protected PDFs and any embedded images will be at original resolution (so you won't be able to enlarge/edit them and if low-res will stay low-res) and any text blocks can break up into separate words/letters but depending on how much editing you want to do it may be an option. Any vector images, tint blocks or outlined text will be perfect (and editable - the PDF is now an AI file).
Just drag and drop into the Illustrator icon on your dock to open - if you don't have the correct fonts for the file Illustrator will tell you what they are and replace them which can mess up any text so I'd suggest noting the missing fonts and then install those needed and then re-launching Illustrator and open the PDF with correct fonts installed.
