HT201269 I have had my new iPhone for 6 mths and just decided to sync it

I connected it to iTunes and Rather than " set up as new phone" I selected restore from back up of my old phone. Unfortunately this seems to have wiped all the photos from my new phone. Is there any way to retrieve these photos?

Nope.
This is designed to be done right away after a purchase of a new iPhone that is replacing another - not weeks or months afterwards.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Had this been done before choosing to transfer the backup for the old iPhone, the photos would not be lost.

I have had a new ram module fitted and now i have no photos in I photo but they are there on the hard drive how do I get them into i photo as they were.

changing the ram has nothing to do with the photos missing. Did you install the ram or someone else?

Doesn't sound like your restored from your backup, otherwise pics in your camera roll would've transfer over.
Take a look at the link and double check you did the correct steps.

From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

It sounds like the iPhone setup is asking if you'd like to restore from an iCloud backup, and the Apple ID being used does not contain any backups which are compaible.
If you tap "Back" on the top left, choose to "Set up as new phone" and then attempt to update. Once the update is completed you might be able to restore from a backup if you have one.
If your iOS backup is from an updated/later version than what the iPhone is on, this may cause problems.

I have had a time capsule for years and it worked well. Now my airport utility states it is unable to find any airport wireless devices. When I rescan, I get the same response. I access the internet wirelessly through my Time Capsule - that part works.

i was having the same problem. i held the reset button on my airport express for ten seconds, waited for it to restart and than unplugged my internet modem for 15 seconds and waited for it to restart and my wireless worked. but when i go to setup everything through the airport utility everything goes to crap and i have to start over again. i don't get it.

This is too bad. I downloaded a book to my PC that I can't seem to open on my PC for the reasons stated above.
Funny... no where during my sign up / sign in did I see anything really obvious that stated or warned me in advance. It must be buried in the rules & agreements somewhere. Too bad... I'm not planning on getting an iPad or any other device soon so I guess iTunes won't be getting much if any business from me.

The apps I downloaded from the app store are locked. Factory apps work fine. (Yes, I have done a reset (home sleep) and have turned my new iPhone 4s off and on.

The apps will cause the screen to dim momentarily, then the screen and icons come back. The app is running in the taskbar but I can't see it.

Is this the computer to which they normally sync? If not... save yourself some hassle.
iDevices are designed to sync to only one computer/library. Attempts to sync to another computer/library will wipe all content. Upgrading the device requires a backup prior to the update which will remove all content if this is not the computer they normally sync with.

It's not my "view". Verizon At the corporate level is not going to match. That's just their philosophy. Furthermore they give the CS reps no power to make changes. Sure if I call my cable company and threaten to leave they'll offer me a deal that because their CS are authorized to do so.
if subscriber number start to slow or fall if churn goes up and if they can attribute that to Sprint's offering yes then they'll match. At&t is more inclined to react to things Sprint and T-Mobile do. Now if at&t reacts then like Verizon will at some point. Sprint will have had this new plan for half a quarter by the time the quarter ends next week. In about 4 week when Verizon quarterly report comes out we'll see if this new plan has had any effect.
