If you connect and select iP5 in computer iTunes, in Apps tab, make sure the apps you want are checked before you sync.
Or on iPhone > App Store > Updates > Purchases > tap the app icon to re-download them. -
I just got a new iphone 5 yesterday. I can't get any of the apps to request access to my photos.
I bought a new iphone 5c yesterday and am installing all of my apps on to it, and also updated to iOs 7.1.2. None of the apps I have installed (such as instagram, facebook, twitter or messenger) have requested access to my photos so I can't use my photos within the apps. How do I change this? I have already gone to my settings, general, privacy, photos and there are no requests from apps to allow this feature. I have tried uninstalling the apps and reinstalling them thinking maybe if I did that the request would pop up but that didn't work. The only thing instagram has requested is access to my microphone. Can someone help please? I'm getting beyond frustrated, and I can not get to an apple store to have someone take a look.
All of your pictures adn contact should be on your computer. Nothing should only be on your iphone. The iphone is not a storage device. it simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
You should be syncing contacts to your computer regularly and importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly.

i tried restoring my new iphone, as i had to replace it yesterday, using the back up on itunes, but my music didnt upload and now every time i plug in my new iphone it keeps saying i need to back it up or set it up as a new iphone, what shall i do? i dont want to lose the photos/contacts/texts etc that have already been uploaded back onto my phone.
Your phone needs to be activated. Did you follow the instructions included with your replacment phone on how to activate it on your account? If you're having trouble with that, either contact Verizon customer service (800-922-0204) or take the phone to your nearest Verizon Store.

If I restored my new iPhone from iCloud backup, and I delete the old iPhone backup to make room on iCloud to back up my new phone, will it delete everything on the new phone?
I have this exact same issue. Replaced my iPhone 4s with the new iPhone 5s, setting up my new iPhone 5s to restore from iCloud. This completed and now I am unable to delete my old iPhone 4s iCloud backup (consuming 15.1 GB of my 20GB allocation). How can I delete it, so that I get my 15 GB back? I am not going to invest in additional iCloud storage, because I will be 15 GB down from the off.

If i restore my new iphone from my last backup will it delete all of the new content that I currently have on my phone? would it be better off to set it up as a new iphone? and if i set it up as a new iphone what will that do?
If you restore from your last backup, it will replace what you now have on your phone. If you set it up as new, you will have a phone just out of the box without any of your data on it. You can download any apps again. You can sync your music through iTunes.

I have restored my new iphone 5 but everytime i plug it back into iTunes i am asked if i want to set up a new phone or restore it. I have already set it up and tried to restore it again thinking this might help but i still keep getting the same message. The phone is recognised and shows up in devices but i cannpt sync apps or anything to it.
Have you updated your iTunes on your computer? WIth a device running iOS7, you need iTunes 11.
When you removed iTUnes, did you see something named 'apple mobile device support' or something like it? (The exact name varies from operating system to operating system). If you see that, uninstall it too. That's the drivers for your iPhone and they should self-install when you plug your device in.
If all that is fine, have you checked your cable and USB port? a malfunctioning cable can keep you from syncing. -

Can I restore a new iphone 5 from an existing 4GS backup and then still use the 4GS backup for another phone?
Sorry, a 4G. Its not my phone. its for my employer. He just got a 5 and wants both phones to use the same backup information in itunes.

That's not a reset pin. There is no reset hole in which to poke it. Neither is there a reset button. It is the SIM removal tool. If you had it, it would save you the agony of finding a paper clip.

settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, once complete the set up assistant will ask if you have an iCloud back up, follow on screen instruction to restore from it. -

Please tell us what kind of computer you have, what operating system and what version of iTunes. Not just "the latest version of iTunes", the exact version number.

Just bought my new iPhone 5 yesterday. Love it. When I leave my house I can access Wi-Fi to get emails. Says can't receive email. Wants me to then to go to Cellular Data to turn on (which I can't because don't know my password). First, I live in a city and my Wi-Fi almost always works to get emails and shouldn't have to turn on cellular to get emails and 2nd, don't know my password. Is it my Apple ID password?
