Unless you have already loaded a bunch of data the easisest way would be to go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Hi, I have recently upgraded from and Iphone 4 to 5. I completed a back up on my iphone 4 via icloud which went ok. When setting up my new phone I selected to set up as a new phone and not via icloud back up. Is there anyway I can restore my details to my new phone? Thanks Hayley
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from. -
When setting up my new phone, the setup assistant didn't appear. Where can I find the "restore from icloud back up" option so I can transfer all my information?
You have to erase the phone an go back through the setup again. Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Then go back through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.

How do I change i tune account for the i phone
I activated my new i phone on my home PC, and set up a brand new i-tune account, no songs in this account. Well, I just assumed I could hook up to the Mac in my teenagers room and download some of my music on his computer that was in a preexisting I tune account on to my phone, but I was not able to do this. Now, I would like to de-activate the new itune acccount and just use our pre-existing i-tune account so I can download some of my music and photos to the phone. It is ok for me to sync with the Mac and not the PC any more. By the way, both accounts are under my name, and both use the same credit card. I dont mind loosing data on the phone, as it is still new and is not loaded with anything at this time. How do I go about switching i-tune accounts and setting up the Mac for sync and disable this on my PC?
mac g5 Mac OS X (10.2.x)Why would it reset to factory settings? It's just account info and doesn't affect the Android system info.

-for the phone to sync the accounts (mail, contacts, etc)
-for you to change notifications (ringtone, LED, etc)
-for you to edit contacts if they were joined with other contact info (Facebook, Twitter, etc) -

Just got a new phone but it wont connect to or will drop wifo signal when set up as a new phone. Apple replaced it and I have the same problem. When I back the phone up as my old 3gs I have no problems at all

I have a 4 year old macbook and a new ipad mini. I share the same apple ID with my daughter who has an iphone 4. Recently I changed the apple id last week to my new email address. The cloud has my old apple ID ( email address), how can I change that cloud ID to a 3rd email address? I do not want to share that cloud ID with my dughter, I want us to have our own IDs.
First save any photo stream photos that you want to keep on your device by opening the photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing Notes with iCloud, email them to yourself as you will have to recreate these after changing accounts. Finally, if you are syncing any iWork documents with iCloud go to the settings for these apps and turn iCloud sycing to Off.
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iPad when prompted. (This will only delete the account from your device, not from iCloud. If your daughter is keeping the existing account her devices will not be effected by this.) Then sign back in with your new ID to create a new iCloud account, turn on your iCloud data syncing, choose Merge when prompted to upload the data to the new account. Then recreate any Notes from the emails sent earlier and turn on iCloud syncing with iWork again, if appropriate.

Once your iPad has migrated to the new account, if you also want to move your Mac to this account go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign in with the new ID. -
After connecting my new iphone 5 to iTunes, I did not choose restore from iCloud Backup or iTunes Back up. I just clicked on New iPhone, because I was installing a new iphone 5 with a different carrier and sim etc. Now I don't have the option to go back. I have backed up my old phone to iCloud, so should I click on - Restore iPhone to get all the saved data from iTunes?
I found the answer in another discussion group, so I have just erased everything through settings on my new iphone and in Backups on itunes, I have clicked on restore back up. So it appears to be working.

You know how when you first get your iphone you have to set it up to make it yours and stufff well on Itunes my phone comes up with my moms name and not mine because when I was setting it up it did the auto-fill thing to say Karen Stupp's Iphone. But I want it to say my name. How ?
Go to Settings/General/About tap on Name, and change it.

I am trying to put the stuff I backed up to icloud from my iphone4 to my new phone but am having trouble figure out how.
When you are setting up iphone, it will provide set up as new, restore from icloud, restore from itunes. Select restore from icloud and then sign in to icloud, agree to terms.

When setting up me new iphone - it is asking me for an iCloud password for an email address that doesnt belong to me - it is asking this info in order to retreive previously purchased items on itunes, etc. Help?
These are a couple different issues
The purchase issue means they came from a different Apple ID
You will need that Apple ID and password for those purchases
The iCloud account can be an Find My iPhone issue.
That could be the same Apple ID as the purchased or yet another one.
Once again you will need that Apple ID and password. -

If you want to migrate your phone to a new iCloud account, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iPhone and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.

I have restored my new phone from I cloud but when I connect to my PC to put some music on it asks for set up as new phone or back up from a date from iTunes that is too old. Help it's doing my head in
Select setup as "New", the next screen should prompt you to rename your phone. Just name it what you already have it named. After that, you should be able to sync and all of your data & settings will still be exactly as you've already set them up on your phone. The message is more threatening than what really happens.

I am due to upgrade my iphone 3 to iphone 5. I have icloud which is co-ordinating my iphone 3 and Mac Pro updating each other. What happens when I get a new phone - I dont want to lose all my addresses, notes etc. What is the procedure and step by step action? The new phone arrives - then what?
When I upgraded from the iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5, I simply did a Backup of my phone using iTunes, plugged in the new iPhone 5 into my Mac, and did a Restore of that backup to put everything back. This procedure is documented around the web. Also, the new phone will ask you for your Apple ID and when you enter it, all your iCloud info will be downloaded to the phone. It worked pretty well for me.
