HT201270 Can't find my backup in icloud

My contacts in iphone 4 were bakeup to icloud and later the the iphone was reinstall the IOS.
After that I wanted to restore my contacts byt I couldn't find the backup option .
The bakup was done using wireless network (not using itune)
Is it possible to find it ?

Can't find old backups in iCloud

I need a 14 day old iCloud backup for my iPhone. When I look on my computer and click show older backups, all I get are my iPod backups. I need To find that backup. Please help!!

Hi, I'm trying to access data backed up to cloud over a month ago. I typically back up from cloud daily except in the past week or two it won't because there's not enough room. Are you saying that if I haven't backed up in 3 days I can't access data successfully backed up a month ago (when it was successfully creating daily backups?)

I can't find my backup in icloud

When i go to a connected iPhone and look at my iCloud available backups, I see 1 for my ipad and 1 for my iphone. However, when i go to restore my iphone, the only backup available to choose froom is the ipad backup. It wont show the iphone backup that I know exists. Help! All devices were updated to 5.1 and backups were proformed on everything prior to restoral process.

Update software with Settings > General > Software Update
Reset the device with Settings > Reset > Reset All Settings
Setup the phone again, this time your iCloud backup should show up.
This really saved me alot of time. The Sprint tech told me to go home and hook up phone to the itunes, which would of took longer. All my apps are starting to show up on my phone same screen saver that I had on my old iphone 4s which was defective. Thanks again for all of your help.

Your question is unclear. If you're backing up to your iMac, (via iTunes, with cable or WiFi), this has nothing to do with iCloud and the backup is stored on your iMac here:
: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer.

I found a way to get to my data. So do not need remedy at this time.
fwiw, I changed my ios7.04 setup answer of restore from itunes to new iphone. Eventually that allowed me to set up icloud, then turn off find iphone, restore. Very strange ios update.

FreeSpace cost $1 or is a free utility that checks HD space.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

No, not at all possible. The device has to be on and it has to be connected to the internet (wifi or cellular connection). Tracking uses internet data, so a device that is off cannot be found remotely.

On your mac: System Preferences>iCloud there should be a Find My Mac entry in the list of off/on apps. Are you saying it isn't there, or that ofter turning it on, Find My Mac doesn't work when trying to track the mac on icloud.com?
On a mac, you must be using wifi (not just connected to a router via ethernet cable) for its location to work.
