HT201270 I keep receiving an error 1051 when trying to receive a message from short code 71441. I get message error

Hi,
I keep getting an error msg 1051 when texting to short code 71441. I checked with Sprint & there is no block on any of my messaging and all my settings are correct on my phone, everything is updated. I receive all other text messages regular & short code. This particular number just stopped working without cause. Do you know why?

I have this problem also.  I have an iPhone 5c; well both my wife and I have iPhones 5c and we are having the same problem.  She doesn't use her phone to send text messages to online accounts just to her friends so she doesn't encounter the problem that I am but I checked her phone and she has the same problem on her phone.  I can receive text message from some online account; most specifically from my Gmail account but I cannot receive text messages from either my AOL or Paypal accounts.  I've took my iPhone to the Sprint store where I purchased it without any results.  I called both Sprint and Apple still without any resolution.  I called both Paypal and AOL and they could not offer any good advice or fix the problem.  Everyone seem to be referring to someone else like the carrier or the manufacturer. 
I went online to check my settings on my online MySprint account and saw no problem there.  If I cannot get any help from this online community my next step will be to take it to an Apple Store and then contact the manufacturer and try to have them exchange it for a new iPhone.  So far this seem to be point to a manufacturer defect.

    More info: I've combed through the settings in facebook and there is nothing that shows I'm blocking anything from accessing it.

    Sure sounds like a Facebook setting. When you look at your Privacy Settings in Facebook (on facebook.com), you should see something under "Apps you use" that says
    Turn off your ability to use apps, plugins, and websites on and off Facebook. After you turn this off, we will not store information about you when you use apps or websites off Facebook.
    The "Turn off" is a hyperlink that shuts down the Facebook platform. If you don't see this, or if the wording is different, you may have (inadvertently?) shut this off, and should be able to turn it back on.
    Edit: The sequence to that screen on facebook.com is: Privacy Settings (from the upper right dropdown), then "Ads, Apps and Websites" will have an "Edit settings" link to the right. This is where you'll see the "Apps you use" screen.

    Are you still facing this issue?
    Is this issue happening with all the documents you have. If yes, i would suggest try uninstall and reinstall. Or if the documents are located on some shared drive try to copy them on local machine and test again.

    Uploading is available for Advertisers and Agencies with an iAd Account Manager.  If you've got an account manager, they can flip the switch for your Apple ID.
    If you do not have an account manager, select the Contact Us link in the sign-in dialog.

  • HT201272 Keep getting error #499 when trying to download a song from an album I purchased that failed to download.  Error message appears when trying to download from iTunes and the cloud. Re-starting the computer did not help.

    I downloaded an album I purhcased a few days ago but one of the album's songs did not download.  I received an error message, #499, for which I can get no explanation or interpretation of what error #499 even is (other than generic terms).  All my efforts to re-start the download have failed.  I've tried several times to download the file to no avail, tried the cloud service to no avail, and re-started the computer to no avail.
    My main intention is to, of course, get the download completed.  My secondary intention is to, hopefully, bring to the attention of Apple - iTunes staff, the grossly inadequate, dare I say cryptic, error message descriptions iTunes displays. 
    I can provide the purchase receipt number if it is required.

  • Error -36 when trying to copy AVI files from External Drive to Mac

    Hi
    Hoping for some help with a problem I appreciate others have faced.
    I bought a new video camera recently and have just tried to copy the AVI files from the first few videos to my mac but am getting the error code 36 that states the files cannot be read or written.
    The format of the camera is MS-DOS (FAT 32) but when I tried changing it to MAC OS Extended it did something to the camera so the mac could then not recognise it when I tried to re-connect it via the USB port.
    I've been able to copy the files onto my friends Windows laptop no problem so don't believe them to be corrupt.
    Have also tried the dot_clean fix but this didn't work.
    Could there be another reason for the error? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    I got the -36 again, but this time it was the external drive FILE that errored, not the OS-resident drive.
    In other words, pre-Safe Mode the error said "...because some data in "ZillaHAL" could not be read or written." (ZillaHAL is my OS-X drive).
    In Safe, it read, "...because some data in "WinXP Pro.vmem" could not be read or written."
    "WinXP Pro.vmem" is the virtual machine file - which basically is a simple Mac volume (folder) containing all of the files to run my XP virtual machine.
    Also, this time, a file* did manage to remain on the external drive whereas before, after the error, no file at all remained.
    * a generic icon appears, but it shows a size of 16+GBs. The actual file is 18.13GB - I did manage to shrink it down the other day (from it's previous 25GB).
    Well, that's it for now. I'll be away for three days, so don't mind me if I cannot reply back for a spell.

    In the lower right corner of the App Store window is a round button with the image of a flag. Clicking that button takes you to a page where you can choose your country by flag. You may have to scroll to the bottom of the window to see the button. The country must match your billing address on record.

    Sometimes this will work as well when you get that message. It's easy to do. Try it before you do anything else.
    Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache or Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
