Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you have lost a contact from your iPhone and would like to recover it. I know you say you do not have a MobileMe account so I assume you don’t have an iCloud account because MobileMe is no longer in service. If you do have a backup in iTunes on your computer, you could restore your iPhone from that backup and recover any data, including contacts, from that backup. You can use the following article as a reference if you would like to restore from an iTunes backup on your computer.

Restore from a backup
If you have a new iOS device, or if you need to restore your device to resolve an issue, follow these steps:

Sign into your iCloud account on icloud.com and check your contacts. If they are there, go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts on to download them to your iPhone. Then, if you don't want to sync contacts with iCloud, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts off and choose Keep on My iPhone.

After syncing my iPhone 5 with my computer, all my album artwork was lost

After clicking on the album, some of the artwork can still be seen but half of it is just gone. I've tried syncing it again, restarting and restoring it on icloud and connecting it with iTunes but nothing worked. The software on my phone and laptop are both up to date. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the artwork back?

The iPhone has NEVER supported pairing with a computer, with the only exception for tethering an internet connection. File transfer is NOT supported.

Syncing with iTunes has nothing to do with this, especially when not syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer which very few Windows users seem to be inclined to do.

it does not seem to work for me. I have backed up my iphone 5s with a back up from my previous 4. the back-up process works fine, I can see all my contacts in the phone but then I activate icloud (on which there are no contacts) and all my contacts disappear instantly... I tried 5 times now and everytime the same result. I'm considering to stop using the cloud all together.

I think those contacts still in iphone database. So you can back up you iphone with itunes to get iphone database off your iphone. Then access the SQLite batabse.

Syncing with outlook 2010, if i leave empty the Home address it cames United States as default and if i fill home address and left work address empty Saudi Arabia appears after sync in Iphone.

In contacts i am facing strange problem, i have all the contacts in outook 2010 and i sync it with my new Iphone 4s with IOS 5.1.1.
Some contacts in my outlook 2010 has work address filled and some has home address filled so i make them all shifted to work address (work city and work country), then after sync i found that those contacts which i update from home address to work are showing default home country "united states" in iphone even home address is blank in outlook 2010; and then i shift all the contact's work address to home address in outlook and leaving all work address fields blank and then sync with iphone, i was again amazed that iphone is showing work address as "Saudi Arabia" even the work country is blank in outlook.
Kindly help me in this problem.

Seriously folks? I know it was long but I added all info to negate a need for endless back/forth clarifications. No answers???
FYI, i tried syncing contacts to google/gmail and it was a total clusterF as well. No gmail contacts, synced iphone, gmail contacts populated w/ all info but w/lots of repeat entries. Used seek and merge repeats in gmail and then resync but no such luck. Lots of iterations and nothing but fails. Seems everytime the phone and the gmail lists are "as desired" a new sync puts a ton of repeats back into gmail or onto phone. Still perplexed and still needing help....

Connect your iPhone to the computer, from I tunes screen at the top you can see different tabs, click on info, then choose from that screen from where you will sync contacts, then go down and press sync

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

When you connect the iPhone to sync with the new computer, a number of things will happen. If the new computer/iTunes does not contain any music, then yes, you will receive a prompt saying this iPhone is synced to another library, and if you continue, you will lose your music. However, you risk losing a number of other things, such as apps, contacts and calendar data. When you ask about photos, any photos that you have on the iPhone that were synced from the previous computer would also be lost. You need to save the photo folder from the old laptop and transfer that to the new desktop. You also need to sync the contacts and calendar to the same supported application that you were using in the past, such as Outlook, unless you are using an outside web-based sync, such as Google. Also, when you first connect the iPhone, it will make a backup, or at least make sure that it does before you attempt to sync, or you will not have a backup of some of the other things, such as mail settings, SMS, and the contents of the Camera Roll. I would import the photos from the camera roll to the new computer before trying to do anything else in iTunes.
