Audiobooks are not currently available to be re-downloaded from the iTunes Store. If you bought them through the audible website then you can re download from the my library section there

  • HT201272 Audiobook download question

I was in the middle of an audiobook when my phone got damaged and I had to replace it. The iCloud restore did not put the book back on my new phone so I went on itunes to re-download it and it asks me if I want to buy it again. If I choose yes will it charge me a second time?

Yes, it will. Audiobooks cannot be redownloaded. You'll need to contact the iTuens Store, explain what happened, and ask for assistance. Go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • HT201272 Audiobook download

I downloaded an audiobook to my IPhone approx 4 months ago but it has not copied across to my newly purchased IPad and doesn't appear in my ITunes purchases. I've set both devices to use ICloud. Any ideas how to find it so that I can download it to the IPad please?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download so they won't appear in the cloud for re-downloading. If you still have it on your iPhone then you should be able to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync it to the iPad. If you no longer have a copy of it anywhere then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (but there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

  • HT201272 cannot redownload half missing tracks

i have downloaded an album but some of the songs are only half there. I have tried to redownload on the latest itunes following the guide on this site but the "downloaded" button remains greyed out, my PC is authorised. how do I redownload the half tracks

I purchased and downloaded an album - however half of the tracks, although visible in my iTunes, won't play. If I try to play them, I get a request to authorize my computer on this track, even though it's already authorized.
If only some of the songs on an album are giving you the authorisation message, that suggests those song files are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • HT201272 iTunes- Redownload Songs?

I recently had to reformat my computer due to a virus- I lost all of my iTunes library and it will not give me the option to redownload it just says "purchased"-- is there a way to get my music back?  There is no button that says "redownload" like the earlier versions of iTunes.

    Hi SoftSkies,
Go to the iTunes Store, and look on the right-hand side of the display. You will see Music Quick Links, and under that you will see an option for Purchased. Select that one, and then you can select All Music or specific Artists on the right.
Once you do that, the songs will come up with a cloud next to them with a little down arrow in it. Select all or individual ones, and they will then download to your computer.
    Cheers,
    GB

  • HT201272 audiobook transfer

I had to buy a new ipod touch as the old one died.  Music has transferred ok but I had some audiobooks purchased from iTunes on my old ipod and they have disappeared - they show up in my purchase history but there is no app for them and they don't show up at all when I go into books. Do you know how to get them back from iTunes and into my new ipod?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading - I think that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time only download. If they are on your computer's iTunes then they should be in the Books part of your library. If they aren't, and you don't have on a backup, then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download (and if they do then take a backup of them, and your other content, as there is no guarantee that any item will remain in the store for future re-downloading) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
When you sync them to your iPod then they will go into the Music app (when there are audiobooks in the app you will get an Audiobooks option in it).

Hello, purchased an audio book on my IPad, but it does not show in audiobook or purchased on my iPhone. How can I down load this onto my iPhone. I don't have this problem with purchased music.

You need to transfer it to your computer. File>Devies>Transfer Purchases.
You can then sync it to whatever idevice you like.

  • HT201272 Audiobook Download Failure

I upgraded my OS on my iphone and it failed to synch one of my audiobooks.  It is not available on my PC or on my iphone.  When I go into the istore and try to purchase it again it says that the item has already been purchased (no ****), I can't download it through any option.  Obviously the istore knows I already own it, but where is it?

Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download from the store. If it's no longer on your phone nor your computer (aubiobooks should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library) and you don't have it on a backup, then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT201272 Audiobook trouble.

I downloaded audiobooks, but when I switched computers, they both disappeared. I was able to recover all of my music by authorizing my computer, but my audiobooks aren't even in my purchased section. How do I fix this?

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download). If you still have your old computer then you should be able to copy them over from that (copying content), or you can copy them from your backup and into your computer's iTunes (File > Add To Library).
If you don't have them anywhere and if they are still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download :  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • HT201272 Audiobook won't download

I purchased an audiobook, but it won't show up in my library. It is in my purchases on the iTunes store, but I can't find any way to re download it. Is there a way to download it again without paying twice?

I don't think you can for Audiobooks.
Have you checked if the audiobook file is on your computer in your download area. If it is there just drag and drop it into itunes

  • HT201272 Issues redownloading music

I'm having issues trying to redownload a purchase I made.  On the original download some songs did not sync to my iPhone despite being in iTunes and the external hard drive as back-up.  Help??

Yes. As long as the item you purchased is available and not yet modified and you will be using the same account to redownload. You'll also need to go to the Purchased page of your account of course to redownload the songs.

  • HT201272 Audiobook was lost in sync...how do I get it back on my iPad?

I just purchased an audio book yesterday and it's not showing up in my "history" as purchased. I synced the iPad with my new laptop tonight and now the audio book is no longer on my iPad but it is in my iTunes account on my laptop. How do I get it back on my iPad? It's showing up that I searched for it but not that I purchased it. However, I did and was listening to it yesterday on my iPad.
Thanks in advance for you help!

    Hello In8DC,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If the audiobook is no longer on the iPad but still on your laptop, the next step would be to sync your iPad again. The following article will walk you though syncing the audiobook back.
iTunes 11 for Mac: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

If you have Windows, this article states the same, but pointing out Windows related icons and placement.

  • HT201272 Problem redownloading app after changing back to original download country

If I changed my country from the time when I purchased an app (e.g. from USA to Germany), and then changed back to the original country (e.g. from Germany to USA), why can I not redownload an app previously purchased when USA was selected as the country?

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...
