I would like to know if there is any way I could re-download an audiobook that I have previously purchased on my iPad from the iTunes Store?

Audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store. Have you got a copy of it in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library that you should be kepping ? If not, and if it is still in your country's store, then you can can contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

I can't download audiobooks from the library after IOS 5 update.

From what I understand, the problem may be with the overdrive media software's compatibility with IOS 5. But, I think overdrive media is working on it.
I am having the same problem but have found a quick fix. When in itunes after you transfer the audiobooks to your iphone you see them on your device under books, you can then create a playlist in the device and drag and drop the audiobooks file into the new playlist.
The files also came over with a number for the title and no author. I fixed this by right clicking on the file then choosing "get info" and making the corrections.

The albums I downloaded all had errors in the file so I deleted them, and now I can't re-download them from my iTunes account

Like I said, I tried to delete those songs from my library. They won't delete. I try right-clicking and click delete, and nothing happens. I see no delete button... how do you suggest doing it?

How are you trying to redownload them e.g. you are using the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes :
If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then that should let you redownload them from the store.
If they redownload in the same shortened state then you can contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

So do you have another suggestion? Here's what Apple support says:
"click the iCloud download button next to each item to download them one by one, or click the iCloud Download All button at the bottom."
Unfortunately there is no "iCloud download button". Did a google images search for same, and it's definitely not there. What is there is a greyed-out icon which says "Downloaded." Click on this and the only option is "remove from list."

Can't find downloaded audiobook on iPhone 4

I downloaded an audiobook via iTunes on my iPhone 4. First off, the download "stuck" and I had to call apple to get it to push through. It did eventually load to my phone. I found it in audiobooks under "more" but when I tried to click it, it wouldn't do anything. There was a red circle with a square in it, so I clicked that and the whole thing disappeared. Did it delete? If so, how do I get it back and then listen to it? It really shouldn't be this difficult. I'm so confused and frustrated. Has anyone experienced this?

Hello - I updated my iPhone 4 to the newest IOS 6 from my PC. After this update I'm not able to re-download all of my previous music purchases?! I am not able to see any previous music purchases in iTunes Store - only all of my previous app purchases... I have tried everything from this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519. I can see receips from all previous music purchases in iTunes Store under my account ID so Apple knows I have bought this music but somehow wont allow me to re-download it.... Would appreciate it if anyone know a little trick - I guess there's some settings that are wrong or something I can do to get all of my music-purchases back!

Can't find downloaded audiobook in itunes

Hi All:
I bought and downloaded an audiobook from the iTunes store. The download finished and then stated it had an error. When I went to find available downloads I received a message saying that all downloads had been completed. The audiobook does not show up anywhere in iTunes. Help please!

I have and nothing. On my iphone, if I click audiobooks and then history, it shows in the history and shows me the price (unlike the other things ive downloaded, which as downloaded) When i click on the price it say download this book. Ive continued through that process just to see what happens even though I was already charged, but it tells me that I already have downloaded it, yet I cant listen to it.

As others have mentioned, you can't re-download audiobook purchases at this time.
But of course, you'd like to copy it from your iPad to iTunes, and maybe to an iPhone or iPod. That's still totally possible.
1. Sync your iPad to your computer with iTunes. The audiobook should be copied to iTunes at this time.
2. Sync your other devices to iTunes. Make sure you've got Audiobook syncing turned on in the Books tab of the device sync panel.
If you were not already syncing your iPad with your computer, be careful, because certain sync choices can result in erasing your device and "restoring" from iTunes. If this will be your first sync, you'll want to visit iLounge.com and read their terrific articles about how to move content off of your device and into iTunes.

Downloading Audiobooks for Creative Zen Mic

This is my first mp3 player, so, does anyone know where i can download the 'Gorillaz rise of the orgre' audiobook?
I don't think you can from the itunes because its apple.
But can the Micro download audiobook tracks?
If you know, then please let me know.

Do the files have tags already? If not you can pull the data from the filename into the tag using a program like Tag & Rename or The Godfather (Google to find these).

Also as a side note how do I get organize the audiobook files on the Zen say for instance if I put 5 Stephen King books on there it looks like all the books are one album when I have put them on using the nomad explorer in their own folders i.e.,

But when I go to organize the Zen all of the Stephen King will be under his name like they are all on album. I just got the Zen about 3 days ago and trying to organize it has been a BIG headache. Can anyone help me with this please?
To have books under different albums you need to use the album tag to diffentiate between them. For example those for The Stand should have that, or similar, in the album tag.

HT201272 can we download previously purchased audiobook to other shared items?

In France we can download Music, Books and Apps from the Cloud (no movies or TV Show unfortunately). But Can't we download previouly purchased Audiobooks? Did I miss something or is it the same than with movies or TV Shows? I can't see anything about this specific media on Apple Support FAQ.

You haven't got copies of them on your backup of your downloads/library ? You are only guaranteed one download of each item from the store (audiobooks and ringtonesare one-time only downloads ; other items are redownloadable depending upon what country that you are in and if they remain in your country's store), so you should be keeping a backup of all of your downloads. If they are still in your country's store then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload.

When you say they are displaying in your iTunes library, are you talking about the Audiobooks section of your iTunes library and not the audiobooks section indented under the iPod in the left pane of iTunes under Devices?
Is the iPod Shuffle configured to sync audiobooks or do you manually manage the iPod's contents?

Have you checked to see whether it's in the Music app on the device ? When you have audiobooks on an iOS device you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library.
