HT201272 Downloading past purchases?

Hi there, I have lost my old iPhone, and I am trying to download the iTunes purchases I made on it to my new mac but they don't appear to be in purchased section, only on the history receipt. I cant find it to re-download my old library - please help?
The instructions dont seem to correspond with my issue as I cant find the purchases in my purchased folder - only in my history receipts, and when I try to downlaod a new copy of an albulm, iTunes just says I have already purchased it - but I cant get another copy?!

Where are you looking to re-download them from ? What you can re-download will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes - but what content types that you can re-download will depend upon what country that you are in (what can be re-downloaded where).
If the types of item that you want to redownload aren't shown there, and you don't have them on an old computer or on a backup of your library, then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT201272 Downloading past purchases -- any help is appreciated

First off, I have read Apple's article on re-downloading past purchases, and it is not working out for me.  I've logged into the ITunes Store, gone to Quick Links, selected Purchases, and can view what I've bought there.  But, when I look at my music it is already listed as downloaded and does not offer me a chance to download it again.
The root problem is this:  When I bought the handful of songs in question (just 15 out of my 750 total purchases), I failed to back them up immediately.  Not a week later, the hard drive that the songs were stored on has stopped working altogether.
To further complicate things:  I had two hard drives installed.  The main hard drive (the one running Windows) was where ITunes was installed, and I had added all the songs from my library on the second, older drive without copying them over to the newer drive.  Most had been previously backed up to external storage except for the aforementioned 15.  So ITunes views them as having already been downloaded to this computer even though the part of the computer they were downloaded to is not longer working/active.
I've tried deleting the songs from my library -- technically they weren't there anyway at this point -- but they still did not appear as downloadable.
At this point I've considered repurchasing the songs, but I'd like to exhaust any other possibilities first.  Any help you can provide is appreciated.  Thank you in advance for looking at this and trying to help.

I would be very careful, I selected the upgrade photos and now I have a 200GB library file but no way to access the photos, it appears to be something to do with the 10.10.2 upgrade and the use of an external Thunderbolt drive to store my photos on, but I am nearing desperation in trying to get back my years of photos (last effective backup - despite having time machine turned on) - appears to be 2012.
This thread seems to have the most information
Yosemite, iPhoto 9.6 upgrade, large photo library is not recognised.
But it is outrageous that a 'minor' upgrade that was not meant to be about iPhoto could have such drastic outcomes.  It must be relating to the file service changes they were doing or the work they were preparing for the new photo app - either way, not happy!

  • HT201272 Downloading past purchases not appearing in my iTunes library

I have tried everything suggested from iTunes websites and discussion boards for getting my past purchases onto my library, nothing seems to work.
I signed in and out of iTunes, started my computer back up several times, tried downloading past purchases to no avail. Despite actually being able to dowanload my past purchases from the iTunes store, they dont show up in my iTunes library, and they then show up as "downloaded"!
Worst of all, they are not in any folder on my computer, neither in the iTunes folder or in my personal folders or even in the junk folder! I am lost and need help

Are you going to Purchased here:
And when you go there, do you see something that looks like this:
You can also try transferring the purchases from your iPhone: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848

  • HT201272 Download past purchases

While downloading already purchased music on a MacBookPro7,1 in Yosemite 10.10 with iTunes 12.01.26 many songs got corrupted and could not be downloaded. Supposedly I could go to Store and Check for available downloads, but a pop-up tells me All purchases already downloaded. Heading over to iTunes Store and checking recent purchases, I find that many of the albums have Cloud-mark. However, clicking on these do not download the missing songs, and so far no action suggested by any Apple help-guide has provided any cure to the problem. It looks to me that iTunes store is broken and that it needs a fix. (I am located in Tokyo, Japan)

TRy to look in your icloud back up storage. I think that is disabled that why you cant see it after you reinstalling.from my beliefs Its automatically saved on other storage like the icloud back up storage. Just try to look. I hope it will help you.

  • HT201272 Downloading past purchases made within game applications

Purchases made within my applications (like gems for games) show up as purchases on my iTunes receipt but never directly download to my game.  I either have to request a refund or a manual download from the vendor.  How can I avoid this problem in the future?

  • HT201272 downloading past purchases from itunes

I can not see a way to download my past AUDIO books. They are not located under the music or books options. Does anyone know?

Unfortunately not. That would have been too easy. I'm hoping I don't have jump through hoops to get them back. I probably have downloaded $750 worth of audio books. I suppose its a lesson I have learned the hard way about backing up on an external harddrive.

I just updated to itunes 10.3 & iOS 6.1 and I cannot download a song to my library! I get the error "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on the computer with just one apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 75 days." WHAT??
I've never had problems before - my husband and I have used the same library for years.  My daughter also has her own Apple ID... are we going to have trouble with that, too?  Actually we have 4 Apple IDs - somewhere around 8 Apple devices... this is a huge issue for us... HELP

Just to be clear - I just bought a new song and can't download it into the library because of this error message.

  • HT201272 You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days.

What is going on with my apple ID. I only have one, the iMac is only associated with this ID, yet i get this message after evry thing i try to download from the store......You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days.

    Hello BW1968,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID

Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.

  • HT201272 I have OS 3.1.3 how do I go about Downloading past purchases from the App Store

I have OS 3.1.3 how do I go about Downloading past purchases from the App Store?

You can download the current versions of the apps from the store e.g. via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading. But you may find that the current versions require higher iOS versions than you have on your iPod - in which case have you not got copies of the older versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes or on a backup ?

  • HT201272 This article doesn't say how to download past purchases from your computer/

They have conveniently left off instructions on how to download past purchases fron the iTunes store.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
??? That article has pretty clear instructions on how to redownload anything that is redownloadable (audiobooks are not, but that is the only thing).  The istructions for the iTunes store on an iOS device are the third link down from the top, and from a computer the last link.
    What exactly is missing?

  • You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days

I have a mac which my fiancee and I share. There are 2 separate accounts and 2 separate apple ids used to buy different music (i.e. we have 2 separate iphones and music collections).
I received the following error (see uploaded image) which states that, "you can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days".
Now, when I sync my iTunes and iPhone only some music that I have previously purchases is affected. For some reason they failed to sync with my iPhone and become unavailable in my iTunes ("file cannot be found"). When I deleted the record I saw that it became available for download in iTunes and then discovered this issue.
I have legally purchased the music and just want to be able to sync the files legitimately. It just seems very restrictive to say that you have to have 2 different machines for every account (i.e. you cannot have multiple users on a device with their own accounts which each have their own Apple IDs).

    Hi
No - that is the issue - both my husband and I use the same computer and want to be able to use our individual Apple IDs so can access our download content e.g. I-books that we have purchased through our other MAC devices such as I-Pad.  In the past, we had four people using one computer with no problem regarding Apple ID.   In the newer operating system, we are now restricted to one at a time - it means one of us is blocked out from accessing our content for a period of 90 days.   Have you any suggestions on how we can both use our individual Apple IDs with the same lap-top?  We have set up discrete accounts so we log on to the computer individually.  Many thanks for any help.

  • You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days.

So i signed into my other itunes account to download some purchase i had made on that account, went to sign back into my new account and download purchases i had made on my iphone adn it tells me "You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days.". This is a shared family computer with multiple Apple IDs being used on it. Not cool apple. This needs to be figured out. Not acceptable for families that have more than one apple ID to have to wait 3 months to download old purchases. Get real. Any way i can 'override' this?

  • Can't play my library: "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID...you can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days.  You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days." Got a fix?

Since my daughter burned a CD from my computer using our shared libraries I cannot play my library.  This pops up:  "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.  You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days."  I can get as far as viewing my library but listening is denied by this pop-up.  Can anyone help, please?   I just noticed my (this) computer is not showing as registered to my account. Hmmm....a clue perhaps?

    Do you have a question?
