HT201272 How do I re-download songs to my PC

My most recent purchased downloaded correctly to my iPhone but not my PC, several songs didn't download completely.  When I did a sync the songs are now not complete on my iPhone also.  How do I re-download songs to my PC to have them as complete songs?

  • HT201272 How do I re-download songs that didn't download correctly?

Some of my songs did not download completely, they stop with 1:14 left in the song. How do I re-download these songs?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

How can I re download text ringtones?

You can't. If you don't have them on your device nor in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library or your backup of your downloads then if they are still in your country's store then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • How do i upload downloaded song on my iphone

i have pre-ordered an album form iTunes on my iphone 5 & received an song as a download , was charged for it and all ....but it doesn't show up in my purchases to redowload back to my phone or in my cloud as a song that was bought , the only way I know is when i sign in to my iTuens I see it was bought , but no way to redownload the song to my phone or through iTunes on my computer either , how do I recover the song to redownlaod b/c I was charged & have a receipt to show

Songs and ringtones are not interchangeable.  A song needs to be converted to a ringtone.
If you have a Mac, you can do that conversion using GarageBand.  See GarageBand's help for details.  If you have a Windows computer, there are third party apps that do the conversion, but I don't know any details.

What you can re-download will depend upon what country that you are in (music, films and/or tv shows can't be re-downloaded in all) and the type of item (audiobooks and ringtones are one-time only downloads) - the Purchased tabs in the iTunes and App Store apps, and in the ibookstore in the iBooks app, will show what you can re-download. If other items of the same type show there but a particular item doesn't (and it's still in the store) then you could check to see if anything is hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

It's not currently possible to re-download audiobooks, you will need to re-sync them from your computer's iTunes. If you don't have them on your computer nor on a backup, then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (though there is no guarantee that they will) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Audiobooks are one of the few items for which re-downloading is not available. You'll need to sync them again from iTunes on your computer.

how do i re download tones

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store - do you not have copies of them in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads ? If not, and if they are still in the store, then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download

As always, it is your responsibility to back up your content.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Have you failed to do this?
You get one download.  You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception

Unless you are in the US then you can't - films (and not all films) can currently only be re-downloaded in the US. Have you not got a backup copy of them on, for example, on an external drive ? If you have them on your iPad, then you should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases.

  • How do I re-download songs that I purchased?

I had trouble with my hardrive and recently replaced it. But now all of the songs I had in my iTunes library are gone. How can I get the songs that I purchased from the iTunes store back in to my library?

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod or have them backed up, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.

  • HT201272 How to stop re-downloading a deleted song

I'm done with the purchased song, or I've bought the CD and converted it. Now I have two of the same song, because the purchase came from a single. I delete the single, and want just the album. But the single keeps showing back up because I have auto download purchased music active, which is a good feature for future music I download on my iPhone. But not later when I want to permanaitly delete a song and reclaim that disk space, unchecking the song in the playlist is not the simple option.
