Some of my past music purchases have got erased from my library. I do not have a cloud back up. Can i download the songs again from the Music Store or I have to repurchase them?

Not all movies qualify for download on demand from iTunes in the Cloud, the rights may be reserved by the content provider and can vary by region. What response have you had from iTunes Store support?
If you have still have the computer they were on it might be possible to extract the hard drive, mount it in an external drive bay and recover the content from it.

I am trying to figure out how to download an album To my iPhone that I purchased on my computer. When I go to the album in iTunes it says it was purchased but it is grayed out with no option to click on and hit download. Anyone know what I can do?
You have to have "Automatic Downloads" turned on on your iPhone and in iTunes on your computer to have downloads go to all your devices at the same time.
Or, just sync your iPhone with your computer and it should copy it to your iPhone, depending on what your music sync preferences are. -
I didn't do anything to it it has just stopped working ???
Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

HT201272 Getting error 3049 while trying to download past music purchases from the Cloud
My wife and I are trying to download all of our past purchases from the cloud. I got all of mine just fine, but my wife's music comes up with error 3049. I haven't found any documentation online of a similar error. Anyone know what that's about?
Thank you!Theoutsider is So right! I was at my witts end trying to figure out how to fix this. I tried Every troubleshooting options I could find on the internet. (updated drivers, changed the hosts (many times in fact) removed antivirus, checked fire wall, stopped fire wall, messed with the hosts some more (copy & paste it to the desktop) downloaded tinyumbrella, put the phone in DFU mode, watched many youtube videos, LOL and I'm sure I'm missing a few other steps i took too.. ) It was something as simple as making sure I was logged in under the right itunes account :| So glad I didn't pay apple the $69 they wanted to tell me I'm a dumb@ss.... Thanks for the tip theoutsider!! You just saved me! Wish I would have ran across your suggestion a day or two ago...

How to download previous music purchases
I have iTunes 10.6.3 on OSX 10.5.8
When I go to the STORE -> Purchase section in iTunes, it is empty. It should not be.
When I click Download Previous Purchases, it takes me to a page which has Music, Moves, TV Shows etc across the top.
When I click on Music, nothing happens.
I have tried Signing Out/In. My computer is Authorised.
I tries following the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
...but it does not work, and my iTunes window looks different in step 4.
Any advice appreciated...OK I got it working.
My Safari was not up to date (I don't use it for web browsing).
I had been accessing the above windows from the left hand menu in iTunes. For a laugh, I tried accessing via the right hand menu. This link gave me a warning about Safari needing an update, whereas the left hand menu did not.
First click "iTunes Store" in the right hand menu, see the Home page with all the ads for pop music you don't want, then click "Purchased" in the "Quick Links" section to the right to get the warning. -

They have conveniently left off instructions on how to download past purchases fron the iTunes store.

??? That article has pretty clear instructions on how to redownload anything that is redownloadable (audiobooks are not, but that is the only thing). The istructions for the iTunes store on an iOS device are the third link down from the top, and from a computer the last link.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
As you know how to open the iTunes Media folder, go to this folder and open iTunes. Then, go to Apps in iTunes and drag the IPA file of the app you want to show up to the iTunes window, so it should be added.
If it doesn't work, delete the IPA, empty the Trash and you will be able to download the application.

how do I download past audiobook purchases? my computer crashed. itunes allowed me to download everything but my audiobooks.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download. Have you not got a backup of your content on, for example, an external drive ?

Does anybody know if they are limiting the time you download you past music. I got this message "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 89 days. Does this mean that I have a time frame to download my music?
ThanksI've had the same issue - my primary media PC was inadvertantly associated with an old, defunct appleID, and prevented from downloading purchases made on my laptop and ipad. While customer service representatives were kind enough to repost recent purchases to my itunes account, enabling download, there was no option for reseting the association or acceleratig the countdown. I'm still locked out of match, and older purchases aren't available for another 53 days.
I've expressed my frustration with this restriction in no uncertain (but polite) terms, but I can't help feeling that it felt on deaf ears. -

How did you get it onto the phone in the first place? You had to have synced it from a computer if it wasn't purchased from the iTunes store. You should still have it in your iTunes library...
Other than for items purchased from the iTunes store, media sync is one way, computer to iPhone. There is no supported method of getting other music off of the phone to a computer. If you google, you may find some useful utilities that will help.
If the media resides on a different computer and you're changing the one you are going to sync with, just back up the iTunes library and transfer it to the new computer. -

I just purchased an iTunes TV show and it successfully downloaded. It is now saying that I do not have the proper version of QuickTime on this version of iTunes (10.6.3).
