If by any chance you have made purchases with more than one account, you must check for past purchases separately for each account.

Try Deauthorize your account and then Authorize the account to see if any changes occur. Also there may a resolution in the second article that can be helpful as well.

I used to be able to sync songs that I imported from CDs into my library onto my iPad and iPad touch. Now I can only sync the purchased from iTunes songs. What has changed? Do I have to subscribe to iCloud to do this now?

iTunes should sync your entire library, and not just songs purchased from the iTunes Store, as mentioned in this article:

By default, iTunes automatically syncs your entire iTunes library whenever you connect your device to your computer. On each subsequent sync, iTunes will automatically add any new music or videos to the device and remove any items that are no longer in your iTunes Library.

HT204406 I bought iTunes Match enabled it on my ipad now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I have is the music my daughter purchased from itunes how can I get them back. for her ipad.

I have ipad 3 & daughter new ipad mini with RD. She has nano and I have classic. Her nano syncs to her own laptop and mine to my desktop. I bought iTunes Match and authorised both iPads and both iPods. I have now enabled iTunes Match in my ipad and was warned it would replace my library. I pressed "enable" and now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I've got is the music my daughter bought from iTunes. What have I done wrong and how can I get my songs back. When I bought iTunes Match I got 1 e-mail confirming subscription and another providing receipt but nothing else no links etc. any assistance would be appreciated.

You can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

HT1473 I am having an error on Purchase from ITunes Store in downloading a song with the rest of an album. It is the only song that did not download correctly and nothing works from downloading from already purchased it says (-err = 100000)

After buying and downloading videos from itunes, how can I burn them to a DVD that will play in a standard DVD player? I have tried burning the playlist from itunes, and the disc would not play in anything I put it into.

Out of excitement, I bought both seasons of the tv show "Sym Bionic Titan" from the itunes store, since I can't find it anywhere else, in hopes of being able to burn them to dvds and watch them. Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.

Connect it to the computer. Open iTunes. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes' sidebar. Click on the Summary tab. Click on the Sync button in the lower right corner of the window. This will setup your first sync and backup. After it is completed click on the Music tab in the iTunes window. Select the music you want to sync or click on the Sync All radio button if you want all the music synced. Of course, there must be sufficient space on your phone. Then click on the Sync button to transfer the selected music to your phone.

I upgraded to iTunes 11 recently and have now purchased some additional content from the iTunes store. The files have been downloaded but do not show up in my library. A search yields some results but I cannot access the songs in my library nor can I add them to 'up next' although the option is available from the search results menu.
First thing I tried was to add them again manually but the problem persists. Any clues?

OK, I found a solution. Here it goes, just in case anybody else comes across this issue:
I deleted all the relevant entries from the iTunes Libary.xml AND iTunes Music Library.xml files (with iTunes closed, of course) and removed the files on the harddrive library structure to another location. I then restarted iTunes and added the album manually to my library again. In my case, I got iTunes to handle my library and the files were thus copied back to my old structure by the iTunes. To finish I reimported the album artwork and that was that.
Hope that I won't encounter this issue with future purchases under iTunes11, this workaround IS a bit of a hassle!

Why won't book purchased from iTunes store completely download?

I pre-ordered the new Steve Jobs bio. I ordered it off of my laptop. I start reading it and notice Chapter 1 is missing. I delete the book from my iPad, sync the iPad to the laptop, same problem. I delete the book from my laptop and iPad. I reorder a brand new book. Same problem. No chapter 1. Any ideas on how to solve this?
