I cant download my purchased music onto my new iPhone 5. I bought almost all my music through iTunes over my phone but it wont let me download "ALL"--I have to go in individually to each album. Can anyone help me figure out how to do a single "ALL" music download?
I even tried synching from mt computer backup but it wont do it.

You can only sync everything with your one syncing computer/iTunes library. Yu can:
- Make this your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
- Use the manual method to copy music and videos from any computer/iTunes library to the iPod. See the manual method included here:

  • ITunes says I purchased an album but it wont let me download it

I bought an album on on my laptop for my old iPod. Now I have an iPod touch and i went into the purchased items on the itunes app and it didnt have the album i was looking for in it. I then searched for it in the search bar and it still says i purchased the album but it wont let me download it. There isnt an error that comes up or anything. It just wont let me download it and ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY! Can someone please help? (i hope i dont have to purchase the album again)

Again, how are you trying to "download' it - what options are you selecting to do the download? Also, the forum you posted in is iTunes for Windows, but you also mentioned your iPhone. Where are you trying to download the past purchase? Once I know that, I will be able to provide you with instructions on how to download it again.
    Cheers,

How do I download my purchased ringtones to my new iPhone? I'm trying n it wnt let me download them!

You would have to sync them from your computer.
You only get one download.  As always, it is your responsibility to back up your content.

    Hello,
Sometimes that you see something it saves in cache, (or could be that the show is in progress to be deleted) so here's the problem.
Just restart your device to see if the cache of the shows deletes themselves.
Then try to import your music again.
    Cheers.
You can use this tool to quickly clean all the cache that needs to be deleted-

  • My computer crashed and I lost all of my I-tunes folder, how can I download my purchased items onto my new laptop

When i went to the itunes store it was asking me to pay for it again, help please!!!

When you buy items from iTunes, it's downloaded to your computer, yours to keep, and to make a backup of.
I have some advice here that might help you recover your music.
    Recovery options:
    A: If Windows isn't booting:
You need to boot the computer from a "recovery disk or USB" that has a operating system on it and a graphical user interface to transfer files from your boot drive to a external drive.
I suggest using the Easy USB Installer to install Ubuntu 10.10 onto a 2-4 GB USB key.
    http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
    or
burn a ISO of Ubuntu 10.10 or PartedMagic to a cd-r with ImgBurn or Win 7 right click and burn
You can use Disk Utility in OS X to select the ISO and burn to cd/dvd as well.
Once you have it installed, consult this page for your BIOS boot key to hold to get into the BIOS.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/a/biosaccess_pc.htm
Plug the USB into the back (if possible) of the computer, connect the external drive and enter the BIOS, set the USB (or CD) as first boot and SAVE.
Boot off the USB/CD and "Try Ubuntu/Run from disk" DON'T INSTALL. (Parted Magic loads into RAM and ejects CD)
Once in, go under the menu Places > Computer and transfer your files to the external drive just like you would in Windows, drag and drop.
(If using Parted Magic double click on the Mount Drive left icon twice, use the two GUI windows to transfer files to external drive, unmount drives, log out/quit in the lower left corner menu option)
B: If the computer hardware isn't working, but the drive might still work:
You'll have to remove the power cord and manually extract the hard drive. This might result in some damage.
There is a powered IDE/SATA to USB adapter for sale online for $20 that you can take that internal hard drive and use it like a external drive to access your files from another Windows machine.
C: If your iTunes content is deleted...
It might be recoverable if it hasn't been overwritten yet by fresh data. Undelete software works by reading the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, not what the OS says.
You need to use undelete software pre-installed before the iTunes content was deleted, or while on a bootable cd/USB and a external drive to transfer the recovered files.
You can also install undelete type software on a new machine and USE STEP B above to "undelete" the files and recover them directly to the new computer.
You can't install undelete software or recover files to the same drive your attempting to recover from or it overwrites the deleted data.
D: If the hard drive doesn't work and...
The data isn't worth spending $2000-$3000 in a ATTEMPT at platter dissection recovery, then your finished
If the data on the drive was encrypted, data recovery efforts may be futile, unless it's a encypted file and you transfer it successfuly and have the password to de-crypt it.
E: If you have a "iDevice" with any content
It can be synced back into iTunes, check at iLounge what third party software works reliably now and for your version.
Once you log into your iTunes account, you can sync ONLY iTunes purchased content back from a iDevice
Third party software can recover just about all the items on a iDevice, regardless of it's origin. (can't recommend such software here)
F: If any of the above is too hard, or the data is of "critical importance"
Then seek professional computer or forensic level recovery services.
Get help from someone who has done this sort of thing repeatly and can almost guaranty 100% results.
There is Linux software that can "rip" all data off a iOS device if that level of attention is needed, seek a professional service.
Hope this helps in your data recovery efforts.
Please, backup your data, it's the only thing us IT professionals can't recover.

  • Downloading already-purchased tunes onto a new computer?

Hi, my old Compaq got damaged in a fall, and the hard disk was unrecoverable. I ended up buying a new HP with Vista, and downloaded itunes, so far so good, and MOST of my library from a backup I made in January. Thought I could download already-purchased tunes on up to 5 computers, but reading the FAQ, I see I could only download it once, then play the tunes (from a disk) on 5 computers.
Is there anyway around this once-only download rule? I think I downloaded at least 4-5 albums since I ran my backup (yes, dumb plan, not to be repeated), and don't want to have to pay for them again. Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    Hi, centava99.
Is there anyway around this once-only download rule?
As you have learnt, Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups .
That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form at the bottom of this page:

    Good Luck!

  • Can't load any music onto my new iPhone 6

Hi Everyone - I just bought my first iPhone ever - the 6, 128 GB - and am really frustrated that I can't load any music onto it. I try syncing through iTunes and nothing happens. It shows me a little grey circle next to each song that's supposed to be synced. Have tried:
    1. Deleting song duplicates using a software called Dupin
    2. Shutting down and restarting both my Mac Air and the iPhone.
    3. Unchecking 'Sync' under the music tab and then rechecking it after.
    Nothing seems to be working.
Was super psyched about finally switching over from Android to IOS, and so far, it's not going so great!
Photos have synced, no problem. But no music yet.
    Any suggestions? Please help!
    Sh

I've been hoping 8.1.3 would fix this less than smart bug on Apple side, but no, no luck. Does anyone know the solution to this? I'd like to sync my music, please. Makes me think I should not have given up my iPhone 5 and iOS7 so fast.

  • HT204266 i got this new 4th gen. itouch but it wont let me download apps. i type the password and it says waiting under the icon but it doesnt download. then it tells me that it cant connect to itunes. whys this happening?

i have my account set, but i cant find out how to get the apps to properly download. am i doing something wrong?

10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an upgrade from Leopard, which you apparently have (10.5.8).
iTunes 11 requires 10.6.8 (not 10.8.6 as you have typed). If your Mac is an Intel one with at least 1Gb of RAM then you can buy Snow Leopard in the online Apple Store (type 'Snow Leopard' in the search box rather than browsing for it).
Once installed, download the combo updater to bring it up to 10.6.8:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
You will then be able to install iTunes 11. However if your Mac has a PPC processor you cannot install Snow Leopard and will be unable to proceed. To check this, choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu and look where it says 'Processor' - it needs to say 'Intel' for you to be able to upgrade.

  • I have an old iphone 3 with all of my music on it. The laptop that had them stored in itunes has long since died. Ive got a new iphone 5 and Mac and would like to put the music onto the new iphone.

I have an old iphone 3 that has all my music on it. The itunes library that had all the songs in it is on a laptop that died. Ive got a new iphone 5 and Mac and was wondering how i can transfer the music from the old phone to the new one??

You can transfer the purchases you made on your old iPhone 3 by plugging it in to iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from your IPhone to the iTunes on your computer.  This will get music you purchased in iTunes, apps, etc.  (e.g., movies).
But for the rest you would need to restore a backup of your newly deceased computer.

  • I can't get my non-iTunes music onto my new iPhone 5C

I got a new iPhone 5C.  I backed up my old 4S to my PC but the music on my old phone that was NOT purchased from iTunes doesn't seem to have transferred into the music folder with all the iTunes stuff.  How do I get it to do that so that I can have all my music on my new phone?

All of the media should be in iTunes on the computer.
Connect the new iPhone, select the content desired to sync and sync.
    Backups have never included media.
