HT201272 I have incomplete downloads

I have songs from an album purchase that have incomplete songs. One group/Artist.  Tried to see
if these songs showed up in downloads available,,,but no they are already downloading and no resume download
option.  Does this happen? How can I once I purchase, download...get a do over just in case?
All PCs are authorized, under store I have checked look & automatically download new purchases.
It seems as though these songs were purchased incomplete.
Thank you in advance for any help !

Hi glenemoore!
You are right, you will probably want to download those songs again from the iTunes server. In order to do this, you will need to delete the songs from your iTunes library, then sign into your Apple ID and download them from the "Past Purchases" section. An article explaining how to do that can be found right here, just in case you haven't seen it yet:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
Why do you want it on your computer, apps won't run on a computer.

  • HT1725 I have more than one apple id,can't remember ID or password.  Have many downloads incomplete and showing up in light gray in my iTunes unplayable. What to do??

I have 2-3 apple id's and cannot remember what they are.
I have numerous songs that are under these unknown apple id's that are in light gray
    And are incomplete downloads. ***??

step 1) search at apple.com/support for the article, HE70.
this will help you find out what the apple ID's are. the items are grey because either they are not found on the computer to actually be used + they are not available for other ID's than the one they were downloaded from.

  • Have same copy of book with incomplete download.  Cannot read and cannot delete entries.

Have downloaded iBooks with ePub. Some were incompletely downloaded. Cannot read and more importantly cannot Delete. Connecting iPad 3 to MacBook Air does not show incomplete downloads. How to remove as selecting edit and tapping on icons yields nothing.

I've had the same issue for the past two weeks and have finally been able to resolve it.
For references, I have my iPhone syncing to the following settings:
    1. iTunes Match (OFF)
    2. Automotic Download (OFF)
    3. iCloud (OFF)
I'm guessing my solution would still work if your syncing has been configured differently, but I've only tested this solution with the above configurations.
    1. Make sure all the songs you want are also backed up in your iTunes (because you will be deleting it off your iPhone).
    2. On your iPhone, access the Music app and navigate to a filter that contains the affected songs: i.e.
         a. Album
         b. Artist
         c. Genre
         d. Anything that the duplicate songs (the one with the odd play buttons) are grouped within. For me, all the duplicate songs were within one particular album. So, I selected the Album (I could have easily selected the artist as well, but that would have deleted more songs than necessary). If your duplicate songs are scattered across albums and artists, this could take awhile depending on how many songs are duplicated.
    3. Swipe to delete the "Album," "Artist," "Genre,' etc. Not the song. You won't be able swipe to delete the song and will be eternally frustrated by this.
    4. Re-sync your songs with iTunes.
    5. Nasty, weird, non-playing duplicate songs should now be gone.

  • HT201272 I have an album that says I've downloaded, but some of the songs say I need to locate the file. How can I get the rest of my album downloaded?

I have a few songs on multiple albums that I have paid for. I tried to listen to a few songs. An exclamation point said I need to locate the files. I went in to ITunes and it said the items have been downloaded to my computer. I can't find them. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You can try manually downloading them:
    1. Open iTunes and click on "Store"
    2. Click "Purchased" in the top-right
    3. Find the Album you need to compete and click the cloud next to it.

You get one and only one download of audiobooks.  As always it is your responsibility to back up your content.

  • HT201272 Help.  I downloaded an episode of a TV Show, but only 30 seconds of it downloaded, and now it won't let me download it.  It thinks I've already downloaded the whole show.  I paid for it, but I can't view it.  It doesn't offer option to redownload

I downloaded an episode of a TV show (and paid for it), but the download froze and only 30 seconds of it downloaded.  I can't figure out how to download the rest of it.  itunes shows it as already downloaded, and doesn't give an option for re-downloading it.  I have gone to the page where you finish any incomplete downloads, and this one did not show up on it.  I tried deleting the episode (or 30 seconds of the episode from my computer), hoping that I could redownload it, but it still shows up as downloaded & doesn't give me an option to download it. I paid for it, but I can't watch it.  How do I contact a real person or do a live chat or something so I can get this fixed?

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    Missing tracks
Typically this can happen because a file or folder is accidentally shunted to the wrong location. iTunes can also get confused if it expects to be talking to an external drive which isn't there. If will often reset the default media folder location and may have trouble finding files in the old folders.
Select one of your tracks that is missing in action. Press CTRL-I to Get Info. Cancel when asked to try to locate the file, then look at the location given on the summary tab. This where iTunes thinks the file ought to be? Now find out where it actually is. Post back the two locations for comparison. I should be able to give you some steps to reconnect everything once I can determine which of the things that might have gone wrong is most likely in your case.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • TS1566 How to remove an incomplete download from itunes store on iPhone?

    Hi,
I have recently purchased an HD movie from itune store using my mobile. Being a 16 gb iphone4 with numerous other aps and playlists already cluttering the phone, I  had no room for downloding the 4.8GB  movie file on my phone. Hence I constantly see the movie being attempted be automatically downloaded which throws up an error.
I have already downloaded the movie on my home computer and do not wish to download the movie on my phone. And most certainly want the incomplete movie download to be deleted.
How do I do it. Is there any way apple can stop the file from reflecting on my phone?

first you sync your phone with itunes and remove the broken files from the itunes library.then resync the phone.:)
