You are not communicating with Apple by posting here. Everyone here is just a fellow user and cannot fix anything.
The Find My iPad service may have indeed been accurate to the limits of the technology. Unless the iPad was a 3G unit, location is determined based on the nearest WiFi router which in your case could just happened to have been yours. The police may be the ones who need to "fix" their understanding of how the technology works and its limitations.

You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

I was playing with my ipad settings (it's an older model) and noted in the advanced settings of Safari there was a place to view website databases. When I clicked on this I saw websites. How do these get there and what does the space amount mean?

Can anyone tell me how these get there? Can a website be posted even if it was never went to? What does the space amount mean? For example, 1.5 kb...is this quite a bit? Would it indicate someone has gone to a site multiple times?
I share my ipad with my teenage daughter and I'm trying to find out if she's lying to me. Obviously she's swearing that she has "no idea" how these got there and I'm trying to keep her safe (she's only 14).

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.

I can't get past the ipad setup.

So I got an Ipad for Christmas and I can't even get past the Ipad setup! It's all fine choosing my language and Country Or Region, but when it comes to choosing a network, for one I don't have Wifi access, so I try and skip that part to go to the Itunes section, nothing even registers, so I try pressing the square button on the bottom of the Ipad, which then says: "Setup Incomplete", which thereby gives me the option of "Continue", "More Wi-Fi Settings" or "Start Over". I click continue but nothing happens!! I'm stuck on the same screen..Can someone help out please??

You can't setup the iPad the way you are trying to set it up without WiFi.
Connect the iPad to your computer and set up with iTunes. You must be running the latest version of iTunes as well. If you do not have iTunes on your computer, download it here.

If you don't have a computer, you have to use WiFi to set up the iPad, there is no other way.

It depends on whether it's a universal app or not. Universal apps will run on both the iPhone and iPad. If it's not a universal app, you must purchase both the iPad and iPhone version if you want to run both.
Blame the app developer. Apple has no say in the matter.

Can you control a MacBook Air with an iPad?

First off I wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I teach in a small rural high school that has decided to implement 1-to-1 technology this school year. All students will be issued an iPad (3rd Gen), and all teachers have been issued an iPad (3rd Gen) along with a MacBook Air (I'm assuming it is whatever generation is currently new).
So here is my conundrum. Our school does not provide all teachers with a projector to use for presentations and such. This means that I have to lug around my personal projector if I will need it in class that day. What I am trying to figure out is if there is a way to control my MacBook with my iPad, while the MacBook is connected to my projector? Ultimately I would like to be able to walk around my room with my iPad in hand with access to my MacBook and projector set up to control presentations, show things from the internet, or whatever else comes up.
I am assuming there is some way to do this, but I really am not sure where to look since I am still fairly new with the iPad. I've looked at apps like iTap VNC, but I am unsure if this is what I am looking for or if there is something else to consider. Any expensive programs (over $20) or equipment is out of the question since I have to pay for it myself and will not be reimbursed. I am unsure if this matters either, but the school is not providing us with any programs such as Keynote or other presentation programs. I am currently using Open Office on my MacBook.
I should probably also add that I have seen questions about using the iPad with a MacBook Pro. I was just unsure if similar solutions would work with this scenario.

You need a remote app. Look at Team Viewer and Splashtop Remote. Both apps will allow you to control the computer from the iPad. I use Team Viewer a little now and then and you do have to get the hang of the movements and such, but both of the apps are for remote access of your computer.

Firefox 4.0.1 has been an unsafe browser since the release of Firefox 5. So please don't use it.
Real hasn't made Real Player Browser Plugin compatible with Firefox 5.

Can you sync an iPhone 4 with an iPad 4 iTunes?

I am trying to manage my iTunes account from my iPad 4. I would like to sync my phone to that iTunes's library. Can anyone tell me if that is possible and if there is hardware available to accommodate this? (adaptor to connect the devices). Thanks-any input is greatly appreciated!

Nope. Its not possible. The iPad is not a computer., Syncing can only be done through a computer. If your iPhone alread syncs your music through the computer the iPad must do the same.
Otherwise, if your library is backed up to iCloud you can use that to sync them.
The best you can do is use home sharing to share the library from one to the other over Wifi but it will not be synced. It will just be available as long as they are connected to the same Wifi network.

My grandson was playing with my iPad 1. The screen is tinged with red, blurry, never seen this before, nor do I know how to fix it.

My 4 yr. old grandson played with my iPad yesterday. When I picked it up late last night, the screen had a red haze throughout. The clarity of every screen is tinged in red wavy lines, and bright red appears at the top of the screen. I have no idea what he has done. I need help for sure.

He might have dropped or banged the iPad hard causing a hardware problem.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Some people have found that giving the iPad a hard slap on the back cures the red tint problem. But it usually is a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

Having lost my original CD, can I download PS7 and activate with my original security code?

Apologies for the stupid question, but I accidently deleted my copy of Photoshop 7 and can't find the original disk, although I do still have it's packaging, which has the activation code.
Is it possible to download it from anywhere and activate it with the same code (which must now be over 10 years old!).

I don't know of any download available for PS7. Chances are you would not be able to activate it anyways for lack of an activation server to support it.
