Okay, I've tried everything to recover my past purchase from iTunes. I upgraded my ipad2's OS system and apps, music, and games are gone. I've gone to the iTunes store ane it said I had no purchases. I do have the receipts. How do I reload my purchased programs?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
To re-download your purchases from iTunes on your computer:
Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free

While I wait for apple to fix this issue, is there an easier fix to this than using Time Machine to restore to an earlier version?

Apple just issued an "update on the update" that seems to have fixed the problem (Security Update 2012.001 v1.1, see: http://tidbits.com/article/12768). All my Word 94 apps now seem to function properly. Haven't checked everything yet, but the ability to print has been restored.

Open time machine and shut it off.
Chances are you will still be receiving the emails, meaning that it is a spam type of malware that may have changed your mail settings and only appears to be from the time machine.
Open your mail program preferences and set to delete from server after being read, if that is possible with your mail program.
Sometimes it is not best to forward all the seemingly harmless and funny emails that come your way.
After all, that is what the kids writing viruses are counting on.
Perhaps a free antivirus program such as Sophos may help you out.

HT1918 On both my iPod Touch and iPad when I try to download a new app or update an old one I am stopped by a message that says there is a problem with billing on a previous purchase...please update your payment method. I have updated everything.

The message also says that PayPal is not enabled on this device. I don't know why it would try to bill PayPal for anything. As far as I know I have not ordered anything except free apps.

Please, Apple Inc, try to fix it. It's very easy to do. If I am downloading a firmware version from iTunes and an error occurs with the download , you should put a button that reads "Continue the download from the interrupted part", no only a "OK" button that finishes the download and I have to start all again when I want to retry. I want to bookmark a website. I click Bookmarks on the tool bar and then bookmark this page. A field opens that allows choices under the heading "folder." I click on the downward arrow to see the choices: I choose the fourth option "Choose" expecting to see a vertical, alphabetical list of my folders. Instead I am given a choice between unsorted bookmarks, bookmarks toolbar, and bookmarks menu. No folders in sight. This started happening today In the past I was always able to select the folder for the bookmark.

There should be an arrow or + to the left of those folders to open them and see sub folders in them if there are any.
If you do not see those arrows then you can start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Is this on your computer or on iPad/iPhone ? If you are on an iPad or iPhone then it should have downloaded into the Videos app - iTunes on those devices is just the iTunes store, and if you just see the Ts & Cs link on the Downloads tab then that means that there are no outstanding downloads waiting.

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
See how you go.
