Does it appear in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on youe Mac's iTunes (tv shows can't be re-downloaded in all countries) ? If it does then delete the entry for it from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message) and you should then get a cloud symbol next to it in the Purchased link for re-downloading.

Thne unfortunately, your document is gone. You can restore lost or deleted documents from backups if you have backups - and as long as the backup contains the document - but if you did not copy the file to your computer - or backup the iPad, the document is gone.
You really should start backup up your iPad. You can sign up for a free 5GB iCloud account right on the iPad and then you can use iCloud for backing up. You can do it right on the iPad.

HT1766 I purchased two apps for my iPhone and every time I try to install them on my phone I keep getting a message saying that the file is over 50MB and I need to connect to wi-fi or use iTunes on my computer to download. How do I do that?

I just got an iPhone 4 and have been downloading apps from the iTunes store when I encountered difficulty with two specific apps. Each time I try to download dictionary and star walk I get a message saying they are over 50MB and I need to be connected to iTunes to download, which I've tried to no avail. I also thought that when I sign into iTunes on my PC that it would automatically show that my iPhone device is connected (just like it does with my iPod) but it doesn't show the phone icon. I am not sure iTunes is recognizing my phone. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

I can't save properly, I can't use effects properly, and I need HELP!!

I've had iMovie HD 6 for a while now. It was quite lovely at first. It did exactly what I wanted it to do, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I use it often, and I have quite a few iMovie files saved to a special folder because sometimes I need to edit my movies later on.
For a while now (around eight months or so) I've been struggling with iMovie. iMovie is winning. My first and biggest problem is the fact that my iMovie files won't save properly. All my movies are in the place I want them to be, I save, and then I exit iMovie. The next day I open up the file to work on my movie, and everything is gone except for titles, photos, stillframes, background music and sound effects, and any clips that I edited. I've been dealing this by simply never exiting iMovie while I'm working on a project. iMovie will stay open for days (sometimes weeks) at a time until I finish and can put it onto iDVD and burn it. It burns fine. Another way I've been dealing with it is by editing every single clip in my movie with the effect settings placed so that nothing is actually changed. For instance, I'll use the Hue Adjust effect on every clip, but I won't touch the settings on it so that all the clips look exactly the same as before. This worked well for a while, and it brings me to my second problem...
My second problem is that I can't use my effects properly anymore! Over the months, more and more effects would become unusable. Now I don't have any that work properly. For instance, if I try to use the Fairy Dust effect, I will still have a sparkle going across the clip as I'm supposed to, but the entire clip will be many shades lighter as if I used Brighten and Contrast to make the clip lighter even though I didn't. It is the same for every other effect now. They work, but they make the clip they are used on lighter.
One more problem is that I can't export to Quicktime with Full Quality. If I do full quality, the movie freezes at a single frame partway through the movie while the audio keeps going. I always assumed that this was because the file was too large to work properly, but if I could export my movies with full quality, I would feel better about deleting my iMovie project files. It's always done this. It's not a new thing.

It would be a good idea to do close down all programs and do a permissions repair. Use the Utilities/Disk Utility application on your Mac hard drive and follow the on screen directions.
After that, with iMovie closed trash the file com.apple.iMovie.plist file located in User/Library/Preferences. iMovie will create a new file on relaunch.
If you are storing your project on an external hard drive, make sure that your external hard drive is formatted for Apple. Should be Mac OS extended. If you reformat, first remove all of your data on the external drive to another drive, because reformatting will erase all data on the drive.
Update all of your iLife programs to current, particularly Quicktime.
Finally, make sure that you have enough free disk space on your startup drive--at least 10GB, and more is better.

IPhone 5s wireless connectivity issues, cannot upload files/state to iCloud, and supposedly needing to do so in order to get my files/state onto a new iPhone 6 Plus

I am trying to get my files from my old iPhone 5s onto my new iPhone 6 Plus. I am currently and have been using iCloud to backup my files/state. However, I believe the antenna on the iPhone 5s went kaput a few months ago, because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, both, do not work at all, meaning, I have tried all solutions including, resetting network settings, restarting the phone, etc. This is problematic because, as far as I know the iPhone 5s needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to a Wi-Fi Hotspot in order to ask the internet, in order to upload current information/state to iCloud. Herein lies my problem.
I have used iCloud already, to download my current files/state to my iPhone 6, with a caveat, these are only the files/state from before the antenna supposedly went kaput. That means, that all of my files/state since that time, while still being on my iPhone 5s, is not uploaded to iCloud, which then means I do not have it on my iPhone 6 which was updated to the most current files/state that was available at the time.
What do I do?
I have iTunes installed on a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Computer, and I have made a backup on there. However, I have to admit, I find iTunes very counter-intuitive and very difficult to use/understand. And I'm mostly referring to the syncing/backing-up features. I know you have to have safe guards to protect software usage, but with this high-minded philosophy of minimalism, couldn't it be as easy as drag and drop? Even software syncing? USB syncing with iCloud, etc?

From what I can gather, you can start your new iPhone from an itunes backup (Set Up Iphone > Restore from iTunes Backup), but, in my situation I need to add the Files/State from the old iPhone backup to the new iPhone that was started from scratch and has it's own unique Files/State, without subtracting from either. The problem is, that I don't want to subtract anything, and from what I understand about Syncing, if I am Syncing a new iPhone that's been started up, edited, has it's own suite of apps, etc. to an old backup of a previous iPhone, I am going to lose everything new I've done, as it will sync with the previous Files/State.

I hope someone here can help, because this problem is driving me crazy. My Flash has always worked fine until about three weeks ago when Youtube told me to download the latest Flash. Facebook applications were telling me to do the same.
Obediently, I followed the prompts to the Adobe website to download:
-Flash 10.3 for Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Intel)
However, it seems that nothing has changed, and these same websites are still requesting I download the latest version of Flash.
I am not TOO tech savvy, but it appears to have downloaded correctly. The installation manager states that it was successful, however Flash is not listed under my Applications folder (not sure if it is supposed to?). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still no luck.
I would appreciate ANY advice you might have. I have no idea how to fix this by myself. Please help!

Hi, Check and make sure the Shockwave Flash plugin is Enabled in Safari.

PLEASE HELP - Unable to restore all messages from my backup file (.bbb) - 21800 messages and I need them all

This is not the first time I encountered this issue. The backup file itself is 18.5MB in size. The critical stuff is my 21800 messages (emails for 7 different email accounts). Whenever I do a restore, the DM only reads 13859 messages and unfortunately not in reverse order. So I end up with no emails for the last 7 months! BIG PROBLEM for me! I have done a selective restore. I have done a complete wipe and then a full restore (no success), then deleted all data and tried a selective restore and only selected the messages (still only around 13,500 messages).
There appears to be a limitation around the 13500 mark for messages.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help.

It's been a while since I used Apple's Backup, but you should be able to select "Restore" from within the app to find an iCal backup file. When you find your most recent backup file restore it to your main computer. An iCal backup should look like this: "iCal - 10/31/06.icbu". Once you have the file you can just double click on it and iCal will open and give a warning about overwriting your current database file. You can just select "Revert" to overwrite the current file since you have nothing in it now. Everything should then go back to the state it was in since your last backup. You might lose some of your most recent entries if they were not in the backup, but you should get back most of what you lost. Good Luck!!

I edited a picture in Lightroom and now the file is a .tiff file. I need it to be a .jpg file. Is there a way to change it? How can I avoid this happening again? Thank you

Thank you for your reply. I corrected the lighting in the picture first in Lightroom, then chose to edit the picture in Photoshop CS2. Then I went to File, Save as in Photoshop and saw the file was a .tiff file and did not have the option to save it as a .jpg file. When I tried to put the photo into elements to create a slide show the picture was not the right format. All of the pictures were .jpg files when I uploaded them into lightroom. Somehow, the few that I chose to edit first in lightroom and then in photoshop ended up being .tiff files. After spending about 2 hrs trying to figure this out I went back to lightroom and chose "Export" and then was able to save as a .jpg. Would still like to know why the picture became a .tiff file?

I bought a series pass and unfortunately epsiode 1 didn't download at all. I was watching the downloads and restarting once they stopped as I allow multiple downloads at athe same time

It sounds like you may have hidden it, in which case you should be able to unhide it : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases. (You can't turn off the hiding of items.)
But you should be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads and not relying on being able to redownload them - any item could be removed from the store by the rights-holders at any time, if they do then you won't be able to redownload them (nor will be able to do redownload items if you move countries).

Flash Player Installer downloads from the Adobe distribution site as a generic file without an extension and the file won't open.

When I download Flash Player Installer from the Adobe distribution site Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe the file downloads to my hard drive as a generic file with no extension, and Windows can't determine which program to use in order to open/play the file. I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Is there something wrong with the downloaded file? Or am I missing required software?

Yes, I've never had a problem before. I've even downloaded the Flash Player Install files from the Adobe distribution site on multiple occasions in the past without issue. The only thing I could think of is that perhaps the ".exe" extension was left off to avoid triggering security measures on a computer or private network that would prevent the download.
Anyway, it worked after I added the ".exe" extension to the filename, so I have no complaints!

Files always download as "attachment.ashx" instead of the file name and file type that they actually are.

Since I have installed the new version of Firefox (version 8.0), every single file I download is downloaded as "attachment.ashx" and won't open. I have to change the name as well as the file type in order to open the document.
This happens regardless of if I'm downloading from email, from a website, etc.. All of the files I have downloaded also have already been named and had file types appended, but Firefox is changing them every single time. I have never had this problem before using the same sites and downloads.

Please hurry up with a solution! This is causing havoc, as I cannot open any attachments at all! It defaults to Adobe Photoshop, and then I get an error message that it is the wrong type of file. These are all Word docs! I can't get my work done! Is there some kind of work around that I can use in the meantime to open these things?

I had the same problem after I gave my old iPad to my parents and tried to install Netflix. This is what you have to do: Open iTunes on your computer, the one you sync your iPad to. Then go to iTunes Store and search for and download Netflix app. After you download it, if your iPad is set to download new purchases it may start downloading on your iPad. If so, tap and hold to delete the app (because it is trying to install the new version on the iPad) Next step, go to the App Store on your iPad and find Netflix and it should say install since you already purchased it on the computer. Tap to install, and it will say the version is not compatible, tap to download a previous version. Click that and it will install the older version! One more thing, if and when you sync to your computer again it will say something like " Unable to install Netflix on your iPad" Just click the box to never remind you again, because it's trying to sync the newer Netflix app to your iPad, but it doesn't work so it displays the message. Buddhabeat...clicking on the "Report a Problem" button next to the song(s) in question, should open a drop-down list menu, that allows you to select the specific issue/area of concern that you are experiecing (or you can select a generic "My problem is not on the list" (or something to that effect). Underneath this drop-down menu box, there should be another message box where you can describe the issue/problem your having. Below this message box will be a "Submit" button...clicking on that will send your message to the Apple iTunes Store Customer Support Centre (you will see a confirmation message that your message has been sent), as well as receive an email notification from the Support Centre confirming your message has been received, a case number, and that you will receive an email response pertaining to the issue/problem you're having, from the Support Centre asap (usually within 24 hours). That's how it worked for me, anyhow.
