HT201272 My music will not go onto my Ipod. It is missing in my stuff on Itunes

Help please. I'm very new to this Ipod stuff and so is my 10 year old. I have sharing on all my computers but when he plugged his Ipod into one of them it deleted all his music. I can not put his music back on his Ipod...

There are no error messages and yes the iPod is signed into the account that the music was purchased from but what happens is I sync my iPod and it tells me all my music is on there, but it is not in the library and if you search one of the purchased songs it shows up on the iPod. And everytime I click on the song that comes up after searching it takes me to my library for about 5 seconds then puts me at the home screen

I also have a 4G ipod touch and a similar problem. Since I updated to the ios5 software any new songs I add to my iTunes don't sync to my ipod main playlist. They show up in the 'recently added' playlist, but not in the main 'songs' section. I fixed the problem once by restoring to factory settings and rather than reinstalling from a backup, I created a new ipod name and synced everything onto my ipod as if it was new.
This worked until the next new song I added and then the same problem started all over again. If you do reinstall everything as new, you may want to take a screen shot of where all your apps are and make sure all your photos etc are saved, as everything will be from scratch. Hope this helps!

I have songs that have been purchased and they show up in my I tunes but the are not showing up bold like all other songs in my library, they will not let me download from the cloud and will not load onto my ipod.

I have a handfull of songs in my library that are not showing up bold like the other songs. When I click the icon to download from the cloud nothing happens and they will not load onto my ipod. When I look for them in the purchased area they show up as purchased and downloaded.

Audiobooks are not currently part of the content that can be re-downloaded.

The transfer purchases option only works for tracks that were purchased from the iTunes Store. You'll need the help of third party software to extract all other non-iTunes purchased content and music. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

If the non-syning ones play in iTunes on the coputer:
Try:

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Some music will not play on my brand new (5th gen.) iPod touch. I see a "play" arrow blinking next to the battery icon. Any clues on what the problem is?

Will not load onto my ipod touch

I bought Angry Birds Space yesterday and it loaded to my iPhone but will not load to my iPod touch.

Even if you enabled Automatic Downloads now, it wouldn't apply to past purchases. Only if you buy a new app from that point on should it automatically download.
For Angry Birds Space, you can redownload it from the App Store at no additional charge.

I downloaded the App "1000 Exercises". It shows up on Itunes, but does not go onto the Ipod. I tried doing the suggested "deauthorize" the computer routine. It does not work. How do I get my money refunded. Thanks

Have you synced apps from that computer to your iPod before? Have you tried downloading the app directly to your iPod?

Downloaded music is on a playlist but will not update onto my iPod..

I downloaded music and it was automatically sent to itunes but it's on a playlist. I clicked update iPod and it will not add the songs. I tried dragging them into the library, thats not working either. FYi: I used Limewire

TS4062 I am trying to sync my iTunes music playlists to my husband's Ipod, which I have never done before...I only have been placing music on my Ipod. The music is not going onto his Ipod....why?

I usually sync songs to my own Ipod....Ipod Nano. My husband gave me his Ipod Classic and I want to put some of my songs onto it. I plugged it into my computer and thought it would automatically sync. The message did show up on the Ipod....Do Not Disconnect....but there are no songs on the Ipod. I cannot click the sync option either....it is not highlighted.

If is the first time you are syncing your husband's iPod with your computer, it will remove his music currently on his iPod and replace it with the music you are trying to sync. If you don't want to remove the music currently on your husband's iPod, you can transfer your music to his iTunes library using Home Sharing. Expand the Home Sharing section in the following article for steps to setup Home Sharing and use it to transfer music:

My music will not sync to my iPod after updating it to IOS6

Okay so earlier this week i got notifed for a new update. I didn't want it so I cancled it. Today I watned to sync new music to my iPod but it comepletely shut down. It started to restore by itself and deleted everything. Luckily I had it back-uped to my computer so it fixed everything BUT my music. I have tried some of the tips that have been given to others on here but none of them work.
I tried "unchecking" the synv music box in the summary and all.
I tired restoring the whole thing.
I tried wifi sync and nothing. Its the same crap.
I turned off the music match and and reset it. Still nothing. This is frustrating me! So much for improving everything. This is crap.
I need help!

My old latop crashed and now i am using a laptop from work. i signed into my apple account. I downloaded 4 cds to my iTunes, and restored and updated my iPod touch 3rd generation. i tried syncing all the music on my account to my iPod, and it will only sync 48 of 600 or so songs. MUSIC WILL NOT SHOW UP IN IPOD ON IPHONE4

When I plug my iPhone4 into iTunes, it says the music is synced. But when I unplug it, the iPod in my iPhone says that there is no music. Help please, I've been very frustrated.
It does not automatically sync. Under the "music" tab, I have "sync selected playlists, artists, act".
and when you scroll down, I have all the music I want on my iphone, under "Manually added music".
I click sync and it says it did, and it says the space in my phone is taken up.
but it won't show up when I go to my ipod on my iphone.
suggestions please?

i've had this, sometimes the music files become disaccociated with the music app
plug in your iphone
when it shows up in the sidebar in itunes on your computer, expand using the little triangle, go to the music tab that shows up
delete all files there - this will clear those songs from the iphone (it may indicate it wants to sync once you do this, let it)
once the music is off your iphone, then make sure settings are correct for you to sync music (as if you didn't have any issues) and then sync the phone.
it will put the songs back on the phone, and the music app should recognize them.
