If, in Console, you see messages about maximum temperature exceeded for 30 seconds, you have a thermal problem, either a failing Power Supply Unit, dried thermal paste, bulging or leaking caps or a bad connection.
Plenty of choices, you can open your machine and look to see if any of the caps is leaking or swollen, you can also clean all the dust out of the machine and make sure the fans and air vents are clean.
Then reset your SMU:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
4. Release the power button.
5. Attach the computers power cable.
6. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
After that, reset the PRAM and please post back and let us know how things went.

I am using iOS 7.0.4 and since the upgrade, I no longer have the airplay function or icon on my iPad. I want to use the AppleTV with the iPad in my classroom, but the Airplay icon is gone from the Controll. Can anyone help me to fix this PLEASE? I have updated the software on the AppleTV, and both the AppleTV and iPad are on the same network. I also restarted the router! Still no icon for the Airplay.

Rather than switching to Apple, use a smartphone that WILL sync with your calendar and contacts - a Windows or Android phone. iPhones do sync with Apple products nearly flawlessly, but they don't play nice with other OS's.
Android works well with Google; and Windows works well with, well, Windows and Microsoft products. Android and Windows do cooperate somewhat. -

Have you tried reinstalling Microsoft Word? Have you tried reinstalling Office? Have you run any updates recently for Microsoft Office? There was one that came out this week. You may wish to ask this question over at the Microsoft Word forums, there's a good chance you'll get a better answer as well. Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

My old iPhone (I no longer have) is still an active device on my iCloud backup list. Is it safe to delete it? Can I be sure everything on the cloud for that old device has been transferred?
The only way the backup from ilcoud has been transferred to a new apple device would be if YOU restored the new device with the mentioned backup. There is nothing 'safe' about you deleting this backup if in fact you have not restored the new device with this backup.

The following article has some useful tips that can help stabilize your iPhone.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

Trying to install MS Office 2011 for Mac SP 2 (14.2.0) on my Macbook Air (Lion 10.7.3). I have to close Microsoft Database Daemon and SyncServicesAgent but can not see how to do so. I have closed all applications. Can anyone help? Many thanks
Thanks Kurt! I had tried all that and had tried closing both programmes from the application monitor, but SyncServices Agent refused to close. I tried closing Launchd which is their mother application, but that just caused the screen go go blank. In the end the two programmes let themselves be closed next time I tried the installation process so all was well. Thanks for your help!

When I try and download an app, I get a message "MZCommerce.CreditBalanceMismatch.Mobile_message". This is even for free apps, and I do have plenty of credit. Can anyone help please?
With a standard account you need a valid payment method even for free apps.
From the message it sound like there is something wrong with your account or some of the information you entered in the account is not correct.. Verify that the information is correct and then if still problem contact iTunes.

Buy Snow Leopard - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard - install it and do all the updates to 10.6.8 and then you can download and install Mountain Lion from the App Store (assuming that your Mac has the minimum requirements).

If you have itunes on pc or icloud than i think your contacts should be there.
Have you tried to sync to itunes (make sure to check Sync Contacts and all contact options on itunes info tab), activate the icloud account on your iphone's contact option and show all contacts on groups tab on iphone's contact app?
I experienced the same problem and this helped me.
