songs are truncated after album was downloaded.  what can i do to get a complete download?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • TS1424 I downloaded an album, but most of the songs are incomplete.  The itunes list shows the appropriate song length, but the actual songs are not completely downloaded - meaning it does not give me the option of finishing the download.

I purchased a complete album, but most songs are only about a minute in duration rather than their actual lengths.  The times showing indicate the full song was downloaded, but in reality, its like listening to a sample.  I want to get entire songs, but the itunes list shows it as downloaded, so it does not seem to give me the option to download again.  I sure would like to get what I paid for.  Any suggestions?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • HT201272 i downloaded an album on itunes. two songs are not completely downloaded

I preordered an album. Two of the songs on it it did not download completely, minuteto minute and a half are missing. how do i fix it? Thanks

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken files from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click on the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I have pre-ordered an album and all of the songs are available for download apart from one which is listed as 99p to buy?

Hello, I hope someone can help me.
I pre-ordered Justin Timberlake's new album and have tried to download the album today, however for some reason "Suit & Tie" is listed as unpurchased and will charge me 99p to download?
All the other tracks have downloaded fine apart from this one.
A couple of things I should mention in case they affect this issue:
I am trying to download it directly to my iPhone - I have not loaded up iTunes on my PC as of yet.
I already have the song "Suit & Tie" as a single.
Will iTunes realise I technically already have the song so charge me less and just give me the remainder of the album?

We are having this same issue.  We have over 200 songs that are now missing and only our most recent ones show up in our ITunes library.  Fortunately we have one phone that still has all of our music still in tact. This phone is no longer one I will be using as I upgraded to the Iphone 6, and only the most recent purchased songs remain.  The rest are no where to be found and the iTunes store shows that I would need to re-purchase.  Not sure what to do as when I tried to sync my last phone, all the songs were gone.

  • None of my songs are available to download?

    Hi,
After re-installing iTunes 11, none of my previously purchased songs/albums appear to re-download from the store's "Not On This Computer" tab. I ensured that none of my purchased songs were on the PC still, so I am unsure as to why they are not listed by iTunes. Previous movies and TV shows don't have the same problem as songs/albums do. How can I fix this?
    Thanks.

You need to update your OS X and iTunes version too I guess.

  • I purchased songs on my iphone and transferred to my itunes library on my PC, but 3 of the 6 songs did not completely download? On my iphone they are complete.

I purchased songs on my iphone4 and transferred them to my itunes library on my PC.  I transferred over a wi-fi connection for the first time and for whatever reason 3 of the 6 songs are only partially downloaded..even though they appear completely downloaded the songs stops abruptly.  On my iphone they are complete and play without problem.

  • My iTunes music purchases are Unable to Download

I have purchased an album in the ITunes Store and all the songs are unable to download. I have signed in and out of my apple Id and have turned my IPad on and off. I have no other apps or songs that are downloading. I am stumped at what to do now.

Why don't you try downloading a free app and see what happens. Are you sure that you don't have a stalled book or podcast download that could be hanging up the download?
You can try quitting the iTunes app and restart the iPad and see if the download will resume.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Then check the download in iTunes.

  • Unchecked songs are syncing

I'm having this problem with both my iphone 5S and my iPad Mini Retina.  Somehow, songs that aren't checked and aren't on the playlists that I have synced are showing up on the devices.
On the Summary page in iTunes I have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos."  I do not have "Manually manage music and videos" checked.
On the Music page, "Sync Music" is checked, and "selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" is selected.  All of the other options are unchecked.
I have 3 playlists checked, none of which include the songs that I wish to keep off the iphone and ipad.  No artists, genres, or albums are selected.
I deleted the entire music library from the iphone and synced again, and am still having this problem.  Any helpful advice would be much appreciated!

    Hey EricGleason,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your iPhone in relation to music. Does the music that appears on your device have a cloud symbol next to it when viewed in “Songs”? If so, it sounds like these songs are not yet downloaded to your phone. Instead, it sounds like you have the “Show All [Music]” setting enabled (by default in iOS 7):
    iPhone User Guide
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/
Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • HT201272 Songs purchased on iStore are truncated. Why?

Some (not all) songs purchased today from iStore are truncated. The time shown in iTunes and on a Sync'd iPod appears to be correct, but part-way through the song it jumps to the next song. This always happens in the same place within a given song, but it's not the same place for each song.
I've seen a reference to the Crossfade playback option but that's not causing the truncation in my case (Crossfade is disabled).
Any ideas what has caused this? I noticed it on one song purchased a few weeks ago, but having purchased 4 albums today it appears to be impacting nearly half the songs. I'm running the latest iTunes version, installed today (v10.6.3.25).
Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • HT201272 Redownload songs that are marked as downloaded

I have automatic download enabled on my itunes, however it appears that not all the tunes downloaded. They are marked as downloaded so i can't redownload them. How do I redownload the songs?

This really, blatantly doesn't solve the problem. I mean, it even says in the link you gave: iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download.
So if you'd bothered to read the question, you'd see that this is exactly the problem SCPayne is having - iTunes claims the songs are in his library when they aren't.
    What's the solution for THAT?

  • Recently bought new PC and authorized it for downloads but all songs are only 1 minute and 30 seconds?  Is there another button to hit???

recently purchased a new HP PC and authorized for ITunes downloads but all my songs are coming in with only one minute and 30 seconds of recording...any suggestions?

I don't have database access on weekends (look at it as a template)
    suppose you
    create table help_iot
    (bucket number,
    id1    varchar2(20),
    constraint help_iot_pk primary key (bucket,id1)
organization index;not very sure about the create table syntax above.
    declare
maximal_bucket number := 10000; -- will update few hundred rows at a time if you must update few million rows
      the_sysdate date := sysdate;
    begin
      truncate table help_iot;
      insert into help_iot
      select ntile(maximal_bucket) over (order by id1) bucket,id1
        from test_tab
       where id2 = '336015000385349';
      for i in 1 .. maximal_bucket
      loop
        select id1,id2,last_modified
          from test_tab
         where id2 = '336015000385349'
           and id1 in (select id1
                         from help_iot

           for update of last_modified;
        update test_tab
           set last_modified = the_sysdate
         where id2 = '336015000385349'
           and id1 in (select id1
                         from help_iot

If they aren't showing in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (and the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes) for redownloading then have you checked to see if they are hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 ?
