I am trying to sync music to my new ipod touch 5th gen have never used i tunes before so new to this and I see that it looks like in itunes that under library music(there is a cloud at the end there) and all music is there but how do I get it from library to ipod when I try and sync it wont sync the music it shows my ipod but its not syncing

About the closest you can come is you can sync some material using iCloud. For example, if botht the iPad and iPod use iCloud Mail, Contacts, Calendars, that data would sync. Simlilarly, Photo Stream could sync. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you could get your music to sync also.

Ever since I updated to the newest version of the iTunes I can not sync my music onto my ipod touch and I have already reinstalled couple times. I need helppp with it. I can see my ipod touch file but just cannot sync music.

I have just bought a new Ipod. i am beginning to feel I made a mistake. First, I have to sighn up for Itunes and then, i am unable to add music to my old ipod, the new one syncs with my current library but I am unable to sync with the old ipod. Sync Music from PC to iPod Touch

Having synced all my music from my PC to myy iPod Touch, I find that some tracks will not play, in fact whole albums in some cases. In iPlayer, I look at my iPod and see that the tracks that do not play are "greyed out" and have a cross beside them. Why is this and how do I correct this ..?

Hey, I can help you with that. First of all, let me know what iTunes version do you have on your computer. There are two main ways for transfering songs and videos to an iDevice. One is syncing them on iTunes with your Library songs and vids and the other is to do this Manually. First step, plug in your device and open iTunes, in the summary page there are some options you can either check or leave unchecked. There is an option called Manually manage music and videos make sure thats unchecked, then just click on the music button check Sync music and try syncing again. Best of luck

My ipod won't sync about 89% of my library because 'it doesn't support the song' but I previously had the songs on my ipod, downloaded from the same computer. Itunes on my computer had issues and I'm now re syncing all music. How do I get my music back on my ipod if Itunes says it can't be synced?

As the question states above, Im wondering if you can just add music straight to your ipod without keepng it in your library. I have all the recent updates on my ipod touch. Awhile ago i was able to do this.. I would just connect to itunes.. stop it from sycning and click on " my ipod" and just drag a music file into my ipod and it would sync on there instead of keeping it in my library. and for some reason now i cant do that. I just dont like to keep alot of music on my computer for memory. I have a mac too. thanks

Syncing music on 2 different iPods/music libraries w/o importing the CDs twice ?

Hello to you all support community,
     Here's the thing : my brother and I bought together the full 2009 Beatles remaster box with their complete recordings and all.
     We both have an iPod and separate iTunes libraries on separate accounts on the same Mac. Here's the really stupid thing : if we both want to have the 2009 Beatles remaster on our iPods we need to have it on both libraries on both accounts, thus we need to import the CDs twice, once on each account, once for each iTunes library !
     That makes no sense : the data (a few gigabytes worth of music) will be written twice on the very same hard drive, where we only bought the music once, for the both of us. Sharing libraries does not fix that at all as it does not enable cross-syncing of parts of our music. And we don't want to share an iTunes library because we don't have all of our music in common, nor do we want to share an account for similar reasons.
     What is there to be done ? Is it a matter of author rights violation ? That won't change anyways, because the result is the same : the music from CD or set of CDs is synced twice on two different iPods, wether we import it twice on two different libraries or find a way to share the music and then import it just once. Yes i am managing it manually by copying it myself and now i wanted to switch to syncing the music only.
The Sync Apps is currently checked but when i try to uncheck it it said to remove all my apps from the iPod.

My Ipod and Itunes are upto to date. After Itunes opens a small box with the word Ipod appears near the top of the right side of the screen. Then screen will go through the five steps of syncing. Afterward, still nothing has transfered to my Ipod(The box next to the songs I wanted were check)

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Then make sure that you have the right boxes chacked to sync. See:

Sorting the Sync Music tab for Ihone Ipod etc

Does anyone know if there is a way to sort the various boxes on the sync Music tab for the connected device, by what is checked?
For example I might have certain artists or albums checked because I want them on my device, but then when I want to change the music up I would like to deselect all and start again. With some 1300 artists and 2300 albums scrolling through all of them is time consuming so was wondering if they could be sorted by what is checked in the artist/album/genre boxes

Syncing music from a previous IPOD

I have music in a library on an Itunes account from my previous IPOD nano. I want that same music on my new IPOD Touch. Is it possible to transfer those songs to my IPOD touch? Have been trying and doesn't seem to work. Don't want to have to go through all the cd's again....

ITunes wont let me sync music on to my iPod Touch

I open my iTunes and it works fine, but when i connect my iPod (Touch) a message appears saying "Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." It gives me a choice to "Send Error Report" or "Dont Send".
Ive tried both but nothing happens. It just closes down iTunes.
I havent been able to sync any music or videos etc. to my iPod for at least a month now.
Ive tried uninstalling iTunes, and re-installing it but the same problem happens again and again.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried dozens of times to sync it within the past 2 days and it won't work. It's really frustrating. Help....Please....anyone???
