Since I only have one AppleID and since I'm sitting at the computer showing the previously purchased songs, I'm guessing your third response is the accurate. I logged onto iTunes Store and "reported a problem" with the two songs and am awating their reply.
I'm guessing that it's something I did (or didn't do) when I downloaded the songs from iTunes Store to my iPhone. I forgot to synch these two songs from my PC to my iPhone before travelling. However, I noticed that the two songs were listed on my iPhone iTunes application in a playlist called "recently purchased." I clicked on the two songs and they were downloaded to my iPhone (which I would expect); I then received an email receipt for the charges for the songs (which I didn't expect.)

The same thing happened to me but it made sense.
I ordered a MBPR on Jun 12 for $2879 which qualified for the free student gift card. The gift card was available to ship (delivers June 20 - June 21) but the MBPR wasn't available until a month later (deliverys July 3 - July 10). Instead of holding the gift card until the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $100 for the card then shipped it to me.
About a month later when the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $2779 then shipped it. In the end, I was charged the correct amount $2779 + $100 = $2879.
Why did Apple do this? I suspect that some people have cheated Apple by ordering a Mac to get the promotional gift card then canceled their order after the gift card was spent. Apple is trying to protect itself.
BTW, if you return the mac then you're expected to return the gift card. If you've spent any amount of the card then Apple will deduct this from your refund.

It was for the back plate that was falling off. No damage, but the Apple "Genius" said that the warranty doesn't cover the backplate!?!? Anyone else have this issue?

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. My theory is that because the original appleID wasn't an email, they're making you switch to it when you update to iOS5. So that creates essentially a new appleID and it isn't recognized as the one that originally made all your purchases. Sign out of the Store and then sign in using your old ID and it should do the trick.
The other alternative is to sync your apps rather than reinstalling them....if you can. Hope the phone service helps.

Oh, that's strange! Your bill should be due approximately the same time each month. It seems like this charge is referring to a bill that we didn't receive payment for last month. Make sure to check all charges at vzw.com and review all the payments were made.

This is not true. Content can and is removed from the iTunes Store by copyright holders, for various reasons, at any time. When this happens the purchased items are no longer available in the purchase history. This is why it is a good idea to always download all purchases and back them up locally.

I had the same problem. I had 7 charges for over $350 dollars. I called 1-800-275-2273. It is the Tech Support number for Apple devices. However when I told the guy what was going on he offered to live chat with iTunes since I had so many charges. He stayed on the phone with me while he was chatting with iTunes. The iTunes person after looking at my account realized that I had been hacked and they reset my password and removed the charges from my account. The problem now is that my account was funded via PayPal and I have to deal with them now to get my money back. The Tech Support guy was not supposed to help me, but when I told him what was going on he was really nice and very helpful.

Got my Iphone. Already had itunes and was able to figure out how to put my music on. Got a new laptop with Windows 8. Downloaded itunes and authorized this new computer. So, I ordered Game of Thrones Season 1 from Bestbuy. I paid 12 dollars for shipping to get it quickly. They messed up my order and I got Season 2 instead. I went to my local Bestbuy to get it and the girl there said that I owed 7 dollars for some reason. I was in a rush and didn't have much time, so I just paid. Why do I get charged for data while I am connected to WiFi?

I am having issues with data usage on one of the 5 iPhones on my plan and have been keeping track of the data on all of the phones on my plan. I have noticed that I am being billed for data at night while I am sleeping and my phone is connected to my home wifi. Why is this? Is it just a way for Verizon to make more money?

Are you certain that you are connected to your home WiFi? If you are truly connected to WiFi, then the data connection from VZW should be disconnected. I would recommend checking your settings to ensure you are truly indeed connected to WiFi in your home and if so, then I would then suggest contacting Tier 2 technical support at VZW by calling 611 from another device so that you can work with support with your phone while on the line with them.
NOTE: iOS devices do NOT support WPS directly and if you are attempting to connect your home WiFi in this fashion, you will need to log into your home router and get the exact Paraphrase for your router and enter that into your iPhone.
