HT201302 Downloading my photos from Ipod Touch

I have 3500 photos stored on my ipod touch but my mac wont see them to allow me to download them. I have tried image capture and Iphoto.
Does anyone have any ideas?

iPhoto/Image Capture only gets those in the iPod's Camera Roll album. For other photos you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView

How do I delete photos from iPod Touch?  Some photos do not have the trash basket option!
When I first synced my iPod Touch with my laptop, it uploaded a lot of photos onto the iPod.  I now wish to delete those but it does not seem as a straight forward option!

For photos synced to the iPod you have to unsync them:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.

  • Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation

Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation & OS is 4.2.1) to PC? I am struggling a lot. The OS cannot be upgradable beyond 4.2.1
I am wondering if there could be many other ways to transfer the photos like:
    1. with the help of any android app
    2. ipod touch to iphone/ipod latest version
    3. any 3rd party free softwares (there are paid 3rd party softwares but I dont want to invest)
I did try some of the options:
    1. I could emailed only 6 photos in one email (I have almost 800 photos and would be time consuming.
    2. I'm trying to access my google account on my ipod but it keeps coming up with "oops! your browser seems to have cookies disabled..." My cookies are not disabled. Safari is the only browser for ipod touch and could not be able to installed not only any new browser but also any iphone apps. Updates for the existing apps not possible at all. So this option of uploading the photos on google drive is ruled out.
Anybody is there to help me out? Sorry for such a long inventory.
    Thank you!

If they are in the iPod' Saved Photos album then:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView

  • IPhoto[v 9.5.1] on MBP won't load photos from iPod touch Gen4 32GB, even if let run overnight

iPhoto [v 9.5.1] on MBP won't load photos from iPod touch Gen4 32GB, even if let run overnight and don't let machine go to sleep.
MBP has 8GB Ram and separate video card using 2.3 Ghx i7 processor ... so i don't think it is a hardware issue.

    Hello A_MadDog,
It sounds like you are not able to import photos from your Camera Roll on your iPod touch.  I recommend following the steps in the article below for the issue you described:

  • Image capture and iphoto show no photos from iPod Touch

I am running OS 10.6.8 on my iMac and using iPhoto 7 and image capture. When I connect my iPod Touch (3rd generation) to my computer, both applications show my ipod as being connected, as does iTunes, but neither of the applications show the photos that are on my iPod. Normally I would be able to download them from my iPod, but they are not showing them, though they are clearly on my iPod.
What has changed? This has been working fine until now. Was it because of the iOS update?

You said " my iPod Touch (3rd generation) ". The 3G does not have a camera and thus does not have a Camera Roll album. It does have an album titled "
    Try:
iOS: Unable to import photos to computerSaved Photos".

  • Copy photos from ipod touch to macbook pro?

I'm having the most incredibly difficult time trying to do this. When I connect my ipod touch (latest gen) to a windows machine, it opens up a folder with all the files on the ipod, including "camera" videos and photos. But when I hook it up to my mac, there's NOTHING. I can't even manually find a folder with the contents. I have screenshots and downloaded wallpapers on my ipod that I want to get out of the "downloaded" section, save onto my computer, and re-upload them to my ipod in the regular "photos" section.
Can someone please tell me how to do this? I tried to google it and all I got were "free trial programs" and stuff like that. -_-

Open iphoto, attach iphone, import photos.

  • Delete photos from iPod Touch 4G

I can no longer sync my iPod Touch 4G (iOS 6) with iTunes (insufficient space).  When I bought my MacBook Pro last year, they set it up to sync my photos (I literally have over 12,000 photos) which all got transferred to my iPod.  I want to delete them but can't seem to find any delete options or how to stop iPhoto from automatically transferring all of my photos after uploading.  I now have iTunes 11 and it doesn't even show photos in the sidebar anymore so I can't seem to delete them that way. Anyone know how I can remove these photos from my iPod and/or stop iPhoto from always syncing them to the iPod??

To delete photos and videos from your device
To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.
There are also thrid-party programs that should work. PhoneView and TouchCopy are two. They are paid programs.

  • Cannot delete photos from iPod touch

I cannot delete photos from my ipod touch. There is no delete button.  help

Why did Apple program it to function this way?! I synced photos from my computer to my iPod. I threw away my old computer when I bought a Macbook Pro. I want to delete my previously synced photos from my old computer. How can I unsynced the photos now? Can I ask Apple to allow synced photos to be deleted? Can I also ask Apple to allow me to add more photos on my iPod to the album of synced photos?

  • Can't download all photos to iPod Touch!

Well until yesterday I had my 1st Generation iPod Touch on OS 2.x - but yesterday I moved to 3.1.2 - fine except that now I can only get 78 events to transfer from iTunes to my iPod Touch - no matter what I do, I can't get more EVENTS to transfer - even though I have 4.9 gb of free space for the photos. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks for any comments on how to transfer more photos - I've got all the boxes checked to do this but it won't go beyond 78 events! A bit crazy... worked great with 2.x.........
    Thanks

I am having a similar problem with my new iPod touch, I got this Christmas. Why is it so hard to manually transfer photos to the iPod? Holy c%$# com' on.
Why can I not just click and drag the photos onto the iPod? I don't want to sync because then it will erase all the photos I have on the iPod right now.
Does anyone know how to work around this?

  • Can't upload photos from ipod touch to computer

How do you take photos from the ipod touch to the computer???
I need to be able to transfer my photos soon!!!

Could you email them? Or upload them to a MobileMe gallery and then get them from there.

  • Can't copy photos from iPod touch to Mac

My iPhoto Library was on an external hard drive, which unfortunately my friend accidentally dropped, and it no longer works. Luckily, I have the photos synced to my iPod touch. Unfortunately, I can't get a way to import the photos onto my Mac., I've tried iPhoto, Preview, iPhone Explorer and Pod to Mac (which works, but I need to pay to copy them), but none of them are useful solutions.
Does anyone know of a free application that doesn't require me to jailbreak or buy it that I can use to get my photos from my iPod touch onto my Mac (it can be Windows as well as I have a Windows computer)?

Try this: iPhone / iPod Touch Backup Extractor
See if you can find the folder containing your photos if you extract the backup to a separate folder. The photos will be reduced in size, but that's better than nothing.

  • How does one delete specific photos from ipod touch 2nd gen (with ios 4.2.1)?

I would like to delete some photos from my ipod touch 2g, ios 4.2.1, but I can't just sync it to my (new) computer because then all of them would get deleted because I don't have the photos that I have on my ipod on my new computer. Help!?
    Thanks

    - You can email the ones you want to retain and the restore the the iPod on the the new computer
    - You can use a third-party like PhoneView or TouchCopy (both paid) and maybe the free
iFunBox for Mac | File Manager, Browser, Explorer, Transferer for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
tio copy them to the computer.

  • Is there anyway to pull back deleted photos from ipod touch?

My son just deleted some of his photos from his ipod and he wants them back.  I have no idea if this is possible.

    Deleted what photos?
Photos taken with the ipod?  If so, then no you cannot get them back,  unless you had synced ( and therefore backed up) the ipod when the pics were on the device.  Then you may be able to restore to that backup.
