HT201302 how do i make a recovery?

Are My personal Photos and videos that are in my camera roll on my iphone 4s automatically stored, or backed up on the icloud or, any other place that i may be able to recover them?

im under the assumption that my phone automatically backs up camera roll, amongst a few other things, to i cloud or something when connected to wifi, pluged in, and locked.. thats what it says under settings>icloud>storage & Backup..... So The way I see it,  there, Should,  be a way to recover any such  photos or videos that may have been previously on the phone durring one of these such backups!!  Correct ??

Hi, if tryly a PowerMac, (PPC instead of Intel), you may need a Firewire Drive to be bootable, most PPC Macs cannot boot OSX from a USB drive.
So we know more about it...

You will only know about the hard drive when you try to access it in TDM from your other computer. If you cannot boot into TDM mode or if the drive does not appear on the new computer's Desktop then it is likely bad.
What you are thinking about as a recovery disk is the Recovery HD normally created when you install Lion or later on the computer. You boot from it as follows:
    Boot Using Command+R keys:
      1. Restart the computer.
      2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"COMMAND" and the "R" keys together.
      3. Release the keys when the Utilities Menu appears.

  • How do I make a recovery sys disk for my new HP Notebook lap top

I want to make a recovery usb flash drive of my new laptop system.I have a 32 g flash drive but want to know the steps that I have to take to create it..I know it will take about 3-4 hrs to do but how do i start and under what app do i create it under..as I see so many with the word recovery..Any help would be appreciated..

    Hi,
Actually Backup and Recovery are not the same. You can backup the whole HDD but still can't use the backup to recover your machine. For normal personal computers, there are few recovery scenarios:
    (a) Recovery back to factory settings: Bring the machine back to day 1, back to the time we open the box.
    (b) Recovery at a recovery point (not Windows Restore),
    (c) Recovery to previous good point (Windows Restore)
The above 2 links show you how to create a set (or USB flash drive) to allow you to "to create recovery media that you can use to restore your computer to its original condition in case of a major problem with your computer." or point #a above.
    Regards.

  • How do i make a recovery disc for compaq nc 6400

Just recovering from a major crash and learned my leason about not having a clean recovery disc. How do i make one that will have all my correct drivers and be able to do complete reboot if needed again?
I have a compaq nc 6400 using (for now) Windows xp perf.

Read the following HP document. There is a description of how to create a recovery disk set. It is unlikely that after all this time you can make a set.
    http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/setupInstallDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=1...
I did a search online for NC6400 recovery disk set and it appears that aftermarket vendors can probably help you.
    Try the following vendor

  • HT201302 how do I make sure the 3,000 + pics that are in my photo library are on my computer ??

I have over 3,000 photos showing in my photo library not on my camera roll.  I can't seem to find ALL the pics in the photo library on my pc computer, we did lose some pics when we changed computers but I was told that somehow maybe during that time I synced pics from my computer to my device and those might be the pics I lost that are now in my photo library.  When I plug in my usb device to the computer I don't see the photo library file !!  I want to update latest operating system but I don't have enough storage space because of the pictures !!  I don't want to delete the photo library UNTIL I find these pics on my computer !!  Does this make sense ??  PLS HELP !!

Apple makes no provision to extract synced photos from your iPhone, or to delete them directly on your phone. The photo sync is one way: Computer to Phone. To extract these requires third-party software, like this:
    www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy
Bear in mind, these photos were reduced in resolution when synced to your phone. There is no way to recover their full resolution.

  • S10e: How can I make my external DVD being detected to boot Recovery System

I bought an IDE-USB Adapter and connected a DVD to the Netbook. But the device is not found even by the BIOS, too.
So I can not install the System. In addition there will be no BIOS update available for LINUX to detect DVD drives if this is the problem.
How can I make my Recovery DVD run on my Lenovo Ideapad S10e?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    You use a normal 5 1/4 " DVD/CD drive,.it needs 12V dc did you powered the drive... ?
So the adapter is not recognized, thats bad ....the usb-ide adapter is defective....
    The second question is...
Linux cant use any .exe files ...its not windows... thats normal...
so what will you install on it ?
Biosupdate ? is the only one .. i think.. but that is a problem for lenovo... i didnt see an biosupdater under linux
Why you buy those expensive ide-usb adapter ?
you can get a slimline cd usb drive is available for 25 $ (or 25€) on online shopper...
and you dont need a power adapter ...

  • Wouldn't make a recovery disk

How do I make a recovery disk after my laptop won't turn on without one?
All this started after I downloaded an update from AVG.
I still have a warranty til March of 2014. I'm not very good at computers and need help.

    Barb,
If you can get the computer to boot into Safe Mode, you might be able to use System Restore to take the computer "back in time" to a date before the computer had the problem.
Restoring Windows to a Previous Point (Windows 7
Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)
    Windows 7:
    System Restore in Safe Mode:
     Completely shut down the notebook.
Restart…  As soon as the notebook starts to boot,
Keep clicking on F8 until you enter the Windows Recovery Console
Find and Select "Safe Mode" > Enter
    Windows 8:
If the system knows it is in trouble it may start in Recovery Mode (F11 at boot):

Understand that your best bet, if they are available for your system, is to get and use the HP recovery set.  The discs from HP include all your original programs and HP setup that was included when the computer was new.
If you use the ISO method, you must then go to your Computer's webpage to download and install your drivers (use only those drivers and software for your system hardware).  Check your Control Panel > icon view > Device Manager to find a list of the drivers (like wireless driver).

  • Mountain Lion Recovery DVD - How can I make one, ML was installed on my iMac and BBP

Mountain Lion Recovery DVD - How can I make one, ML was installed on my iMac and MBP when I purchased them. When I look at the App Store, it dose not show ML as purchased (to download again) - do I have to purchase it again to make a Recovery DVD?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards
    NGI

do i have to purchase it again to make a Recovery DVD?
No. You can still make a bootable recovery DVD, but you will not be able to make a full bootable copy of ML without purchase.
    1) Enable the debug menu for Disk Utility via Terminal Application. Navigate to terminal by typing "terminal" in   spotlight. Copy the bolded text below and enter it into the command prompt:
defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUDebugMenuEnabled -bool true ; open -a "Disk Utility" ; exit
    2) From the Debug Menu > Select Show every Partition > Recovery HD should appear
    3) Right click (control + click) the Recovery HD partition and select "Mount"
    4) Right click again the partition again > "Reveal Recovery HD in Finder". Leave this window open
    5) At this point, you will need open terminal again and enter the following command:
    sudo chflags nohidden /Volumes/Recovery\ HD/com.apple.recovery.boot/BaseSystem.dmg ; exit
         Type your password when prompted.
    6) Navigate back to the Recovery HD finder Window > com.apple.recovery.boot > BaseSystem.dmg
    7) Drag "BaseSystem.dmg" into Disk Utility's sidebar.
    8) Insert your DVD
    9) Select "BaseSystem.dmg" in the sidebar and hit "Burn"
Once the burn is completed, hold option down at startup and select the DVD to boot. This is a bootable Recovery partition, not a bootable copy of ML.
Note: to disable the debug menu,
defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUDebugMenuEnabled -bool false

how can i make recovery in my computer when recovery has been deleted

    Hi,
The only way to re-create the Recovery Partition would be to reinstall the operating system using your recovery DVDs - make sure to back-up all your personal files etc first before doing this.
If you don't have these DVDs, you can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below.

  • How do I make a windows 10 recovery disk

How do I make a back-up/recovery disk for Windows 10?  I made one when I bought this machine that had Windows 8.1 on it but I don't recall how I did it.  Help please.  Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi there
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are looking for a method to make a recovery disk for your system after upgrading to Windows 10.  I am happy to help with this. The method you would have used to make recovery media for your original operating system would be to use the factory installed recovery manager.  As an FYI for the Windows 8 method -Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems (Windows 8)HP PCs - Creating and Using a System Image to Restore Your Computer (Windows 8) However those tools are not going to help for making a Windows 10 image. For Windows 10, the intention of Microsoft is to dispense with recovery images, however there are still ways to make one. Here are a few pages I found that cover the options in the operating system, how to make a repair disk, and to make an image. Recovery options in Windows 10 - windows.microsoft.comHow to Create a USB Recovery Drive in Windows 10 - www.tenforums.comReset Recovery Image - Create in Windows 10 - www.tenforums.com I hope this helps.

  • How to make a Recovery Image DVD for my Satellite A200-1GB?

    Hi Experts,
As I have wrote before I divided my HDD 2nd partitions in to 2partitions.
Now I want to make a recovery DVD except the manufacturer provided DVD.
The reason I want that is the USER MANUAL says when we are restoring by the manufacturer Provided DVD it will FORMAT all the Partitions and revert the HDD to original state (When it come it has two partitions).
So now I'm trying to make a Recovery DVD to recover the notebook with out FORMATTING the second partitions.
I just want to format only the C drive and install the Vista OS and other manufacturer provided software.
Then the other drives will be safe and the data on those partitions will be safe.
I kindly request you to help me on this.
It's better if anybody can give me the instructions for that operation.
    Thanks !!!! :8}

    Hello
It is pretty easy but you need right and Vista compatible program. I use WXP Norton Ghost but on this page you can find useful info about latest and Vista compatible version.
I will obtain the same for me. It is very good program and I can really recommend Norton Ghost.

Frankly, I'm stumped because I didn't know that Time Machine backups are bootable?
The backups aren't, but when you restore them, the result is bootable.
And, effective with 10.7.2, if you back up to a directly-connected external HD, Time Machine copies the Recovery HD to the Time Machine drive, so you can start up from it if your internal dies.
Take a look at this site (in particular scroll down to Time Machine):
Just for future reference, since Apple's dropping web hosting via MobileMe, I've moved my site.
The new version is at http://pondini.org
I'll leave the old one "as is" for a few days, then put redirect notices on it until it goes "poof" in June.
