HT201302 Is there a way to transfer videos I took with my Pentax camera onto my iPad 1?

It looks like they transferred with my photos as a unplayable file onto my iPad...but when I tried to transfer them from the iPad to my computer they didn't show up. It would be nice if I can do this, as on trips, I would like to clear space on my camera.

If they ARE imported to the iPad, then, it must be a commonly recognized format (either M-JPEG AVI or H.264 MPEG).
Download VLC ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) and try playing the videos with it. It will definitely be able to play them back.

  • I lost my iPod touch and now have a new one.  Is there a way to transfer all the songs on have in iTunes onto the new iPod?

I lost my iPod touch and bought a new one?  Is there a way to transfer all the songs I have in iTunes onto the new iPod?  I am scared I will lose it all when I sync the new one or that I have to start all over.   Please help!!

You can do better than that. You can click on the Restore button that appears under your device in iTunes. This will restore your iPod to factory settings as if it were fresh out of the box. But don't worry. By doing a restore, you will then be given the option to "Restore from Backup." This will allow you to restore the state of your previous iPod!!

  • Is there a way to stream movies or mirror them from my iphone onto my ipad screen? My iPad memory is too small to download the movies from iTunes but I have them downloaded on my iphone.

My ipad is only 16gb and just about full but my iphone is 64gb and has plenty of space. I have bought movies on iTunes and have been watching them on my iphone, but this seems a bit silly as I have an ipad with a larger screen. Is there a way to mirror or stream the movies from my iphone to my ipad?

Thx - the videos are on my Ipad - that is the problem - they are taking up all the storage and there is no room for anything else. Is there any place I can store them so that I can access them from time to time, but not have they use up all the space on the IPad? Sounds like the cloud is out...

  • Is there a way to transfer video from Aperture 3 to FCP 7?

When i first recieved my SLR i transferred all my video to aperture 3, thinking it'd be easy to connect it to FCP 7...while it is, i realize the codec differences/it lagging when i try to edit the footage. it's frustrating! I've since realized that Logging and Transferring is the way to go, editing is a lot smoother that way.
Is there any way I can get those video from aperture (v3) to Final Cut Pro 7? I don't have the original files anymore so the ones in the Aperture Library is all i've got left!
    please help!

Not within iTunes, no. You'd need to use other software to do that (QT Pro, for example).

  • Is there a way to transfer video taped on my DVR to work on ATV?

I have a lot of content stored on my Dish Network DVR I'd like to be able to transfer to view on my Apple TV? Is this possible, or am I hoping for the impossible?

There is no way to transfer the files directly. If you can dub the recorded programs to DVDs (assuming there is no copy protection), you could rip the DVDs, convert the files, add them to your iTunes library, and then sync or stream them to your ATV.

  • Is there a way to transfer video at half the quality?

I have a 8 GB iPod Touch, with 5 GB worth of music. That doesn't leave a lot of room for movies, pictures, and apps (mainly movies since they take up the most room out of the three).
Is there a setting in iTunes or whatever, so when transferring videos to my iPod, they transfer at half the quality to make the filesize smaller? In other words, the original quality stays on iTunes while a lesser quality version goes on iPod Touch?

Not within iTunes, no. You'd need to use other software to do that (QT Pro, for example).

  • I'm new to Mac,is there a way to transfer photos on my Mac to a Camera Memory card? Thanks,Alexei

    Title says it all,Thx

You probably won't get to put photos on a card using iPhoto, only by dragging and dropping on the desktop.
Also note that sometimes dragging images to a card doesn't work, if the camera only recognizes files written by the camera itself. That depends on the camera. Also, some cameras might be picky about which folder on the camera you drag the photo to. It might only display images in certain folders. Also, watch out for filenames that might not work in FAT32 (e.g. too many characters, illegal characters...).
If you plug in the camera and doesn't show up on the desktop, try going into the camera's menus and switching between PTP and Mass Storage mode. I forget which one the Mac supports...just that it's only one of the two, and if you have the camera set to the wrong one, you won't see it on the desktop. And if you don't see it on the desktop and it can't be switches, you probably won't ever get it to show up. You'll have to use a card reader instead of the cable.

  • The best way to transfer videos between devices and mac?

I have an iphone 4s, ipad and a macbook pro - is there any way to transfer videos wirelessly betwen these platforms?
As far as I know icloud only allows photostream of photos only but nit videos. This is quite inconvenient for video users as I normally take videos using my iphone 4s and would like to edit using ipad/mac's iMovie. I suppose I could transfer videos using a wire between iphone and Mac (still a PAIN without being able to transfer wirelessly), and what about between iphone and ipad? I understand Apple might be concerned about storage and speed for video transfer via icloud, if we could selectively do the transfer and have the option to delete them from icloud after the transfer it will be very much easier for video editor like myself.
Or have I just missed something? Is there indeed a way to do so??

If you want to transfer photos and videos from the Mac to the iPhone (but not in the other direction) you can use iTunes and sync via wi-fi: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
If you want to wirelessly tranfer videos in the other direction you may want to look into a 3rd party app such as http://www.photosync-app.com Note that I have not used that app so be sure to investigate others as well.

  • Fastest way to transfer video and audio from MacBook to TV?

    Hello All,
Thanks for visiting my page. I would like to transfer video and audio from my Macbook mid-2010 (specs below), and would like to do so with minimum lag. I m aware Apple TV has a feature which allows me to do that, however considering it is connected via either wi-fi or bluetooth (not sure which) I feel streaming an HD movie or playing an MMO will cause significant lag and/or a distorted picture.
So with that said, what is the best way to transfer video and audio with minimal lag?
Also, as a part II of the question, will the picture be distorted regardless if my TV is 60 inches?
    Thanks for the feed back!
    Macbook Specs:
Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8.4 (12E55)

The easiest and most reliable option is to connect your Mac to the TV wired. Just buy a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable to connect your MacBook to your TV. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241 Image and sound will appear on the TV automatically.
If the adapter and cable are OK, you won't get the picture distorted. Your Mac will try to use the maximum resolution the GPU allows in order to adapt the picture to your TV. It may not support the maximum resolution of the TV, but picture won't be distorted

  • My iPad camera photos will wirelessly sync with my iMac and iCLoud photo stream, but the videos do not, is USB connection the only way to transfer videos or is there also a wireless method?

My iPad camera photos will wirelessly sync with my iMac and iCLoud photo stream, but the videos do not, is USB connection the only way to transfer videos or is there also a wireless method?

Videos are not included with the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is for photos only.
There is not a wireless method for importing videos from the iPad's Camera Roll.

  • Is there any way to transfer a video off of Facebook into my own video/camera roll?.......I got new service but didn't get to back up my phone so I lost a few videos, but they're uploaded to my Facebook and I wanted to get them back to my phone

Is there any way to transfer a video off of Facebook into my own video/camera roll?.......I got new service but didn't get to back up my phone so I lost a few videos, but they're uploaded to my Facebook and I wanted to get them back to my phone

No, but you can save a photo on FaceBook.
Try downloading/saving the video from FaceBook on your computer. If successful, after doing so you can transfer the video to your iPhone along with any photos on your computer or alone. They transfer won't be in the Camera Roll, it will be in your iPhone's Photo Library.

  • HT1918 Is there a way to transfer iTunes Store purchases or an iTunes library from one user to another?

Is there a way to transfer iTunes Store purchases or an iTunes library from one user to another?
Historically, I have my own laptop and my 8 year old daughter has a laptop as well.  I also have an iPad and iPhone.  In the past, I have managed all devices with the same apple ID, and used my laptop as the main library, storing all music, apps, video, etc.  I then  just selectively copied things to the other authorized devices, so my daughter's laptop has a copy of her music under my apple ID.  Now she has her own iPod touch, so I would live to move her music and apps to her own iTunes library with a name I create for her on her laptop and iPod.
Is this possible without having to repurchase all of her media?

    Welcome to AD!
You can try these Apple directions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329
Or buy a 3rd-party ipod manager such as CopyTrans.

  • Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation

Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation & OS is 4.2.1) to PC? I am struggling a lot. The OS cannot be upgradable beyond 4.2.1
I am wondering if there could be many other ways to transfer the photos like:
    1. with the help of any android app
    2. ipod touch to iphone/ipod latest version
    3. any 3rd party free softwares (there are paid 3rd party softwares but I dont want to invest)
I did try some of the options:
    1. I could emailed only 6 photos in one email (I have almost 800 photos and would be time consuming.
    2. I'm trying to access my google account on my ipod but it keeps coming up with "oops! your browser seems to have cookies disabled..." My cookies are not disabled. Safari is the only browser for ipod touch and could not be able to installed not only any new browser but also any iphone apps. Updates for the existing apps not possible at all. So this option of uploading the photos on google drive is ruled out.
Anybody is there to help me out? Sorry for such a long inventory.
    Thank you!

If they are in the iPod' Saved Photos album then:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView
