HT201302 transferring videos

how do i transfer videos from my mac book to my iphone using i tunes? they are currently in iphoto. please help me asap thank you

Well thank goodness apple thought of you on this one.
If you have videos already in your iphoto library, then you can import them by connecting your iphone to itunes and then selecting it in the devices area.
once there you'll have an option for Photos.
choose to sync photos and you will have an extra option to include videos. choose the videos you want to be in your camera roll.
I hope this solves your question.

which cable do I need to connect my Mac Book Pro to my Panasonic PV-GS150 video camera for transferring video to iMovie?

    I totally understand.
Check some things from here, I have 2 and they have been great so far.
Check here, lots of storage and reasonable prices. Also great support, you get to speak to a person
Clean off your on the G5 drive and off you go.
I suggest buying a second drive and setting it up for a back up, Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper (both "bootable" back up) All searchable on the web.

You can talk to a person for REAL advice, Phone: 800.275.4576  Ask about exporting to your G5 and and exporting to your existing OSX, you may only need a small inexpensive drive for this.
Quick delivery and willing to help.
Hope this makes you back up and running :-)
Do get a back up drive, as it is not ""whether my drive will fail, as much as "when my drive fails"
    All the best

  • Transfering videos from Iphone 4 to laptop, the video is rotateed 90 degrees

After transferring videos from Iphone to laptop, Why would the video be rotated 90 degrees?

IIRC, the iPhone is configured that "normal orientation" for video recording is horizontal with the home button on the right.  If you are holding it in a different orientation, then that would be encoded in the EXIF data on the recirded video file.  Now if that file is edited and that EXIF data is removed or altered, then you could see what you are seeing.  It is also possible that the player yo uare playing the videos back in does not properly support the EXIF data embedded in the videos, which would have the same results.  When I record video on my iPhone 5, the playback on my Mac works properly.

  • I transferred video from iPhone (4S) to iPhoto and then to iMovie9.  Footage in iMovie is stretched.  Is there a way to fix that?

I transferred video from iPhone (4S) to iPhoto and then dropped that footage into iMovie9.  The footage is there in iMovie but it is stretched.  I have tried to adjust using aspect ratio options but that doesn't work.  Is there a way to fix that in iMovie (or at any other point in the process)?

It shouldn't be this way.  Did you shoot the video in portrait or landscape mode?  Many people shoot in portrait mode because they typically hold the phone upright.  This is really shouldn't happen if the videos are shot in landscape mode.

I don't believe OS X has the ability to receive AirPlay (which is what you're using).  There's some advice on the matter on the Wikipedia page, though:

Scroll down to "Third-party software implementations".

  • Transferring videos to mtp devices

does anyone else here have a portable video players using mtp protocol? i have a zen vision:m, music transfers fine to it with amarok. for videos (and pictures) I've been using mtpfs, its functional, but almost barely, it locks up alot, especially when i try to open the videos folder on my zen, it'll take forever to list the files. so when i transfer videos i have to copy them from the source, and then right click on the video folder to paste them. then i get a few can't change permissions messages and the transfer hangs most times halfway. it works fine for pictures, mostly
but I'm looking for other options here for transferring videos and pictures. i had mtpsync on ubuntu, i saw it in aur, but seems to be an old version. I'm not a big fan of gnomad2, but i also saw mtpdude which looks promising
wondering what anyone else here uses to transfer videos to mtp devices......my other option is making my xp install on my other drive bootable, and thats not on my list of priorities, im trying to switch to linux to get away from windows

I too have the same problem synching videos to my Ipod classic (120GB). when
I downloaded some videos to my itunes and when I click the "movies" tab in itunes, it shows all the movies I downloaded. However, after syncing my ipod, I checked my memory usage and my movies got sync'd under "other (data)" rather than "movies" so when I go to watch them on my ipod, there is nothing in my movies section. And I don't know how to get to my "other" section on my ipod. When I check the movies folder for my Ipod in Itunes my downloads do not show there either. What should I do? All videos are mp4 format and play just fine on my itunes, and they transfer just fine too....they just transfer to some random folder in my IPOD. I know a similar question to this one was answered for Crystal18, but I cannot find where the answer is posted. Please help!

I have an iphone 4 with videos on it that I'd like to transfer to an IMac so that I can email them.  (the iphone isn't in use anymore.)  What's the procedure for transfering videos from an iphone to an iMac?

Connect the iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable and launch iPhoto.  In iPhoto you can select which files to upload into the library.  Once in the library export them out of iPhoto to a folder on the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export  with Kind=Original. That will give you copies of the videos in the folder for use outside of iPhoto.
If you want to bypass importing into iPhoto try launching Image Capture and manually upload the selected video files to the folder of your choice.

  • Transferring video from Sony memory stick pro duo

Traveling to Scotland for two weeks. Would like to transfer video from Sony HDR-CX110 HandyCam directly to iPad.
Think I've read that the Sony HandyCam does not allow easy transfer to iMac or iPad.  We won't be taking a laptop, so transferring video throughout the trip is not an option.  Suggestions?
    Thank you,
    7 Acre Wood

Make sure the Sony has one of the supported formats below.
Pad2, the new iPad Supported Video Formats & Movie Formats
    H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
    MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

  • Trouble Transferring Videos Files from computer to ipad in ios 8

    Hello -
I'm a bit confused about the "sharing" aspect of what used to be the "home videos" section in itunes for transferring video files to my ipad. It appears I can only access these files when my itunes is open and able to be accessed via wifi. What am I missing? I would like to have the files themselves on the ipad so that I can watch videos when not connected to the internet, and not near my computer.
Apologies, this is probably an easy fix - I haven't been able to find an answer,
    Elizabeth

  • Mac programs for transferring video to an iPod

    Hello everyone, first time poster
I just have a couple questions about iPod video. Sorry if I'm creating another thread about getting videos on it, but my questions just have not been fully answered in the other threads.
First off, I'm running Mac OS X version 10.4.3 on a 1.42 GHz eMac. So any programs that are suggested to me that run only on Windows or only show system requirements of Windows are of no use to me.
    Now here are my questions.
    1. How do I get videos on an iPod from a personal DVD? (i.e. movies I created on a single-write disc/re-writeable disc)
    2. How do I get videos on an iPod from a commercially sold DVD? (i.e. any regular DVD you buy at Best Buy, etc.)
    3. What format does the video need to be to get onto the iPod?
    4. What is the best program, free or not, in transferring video to an iPod?
    5. What is the best FREE program in transferring video to an iPod?
    6. Can I download video from a file sharing program (who will remain nameless) then transfer that video to an iPod?
    7. Can I change the format name of a video file that may not play on an iPod (say .wmv a file) to a format name that WILL play on an iPod (I assume it's .mpeg-4)?
    8. How do I transfer video from iMovie to an iPod?
    9. If I buy my iPod at a regular Apple Store (not the online store), get the AppleCare Protection Plan for it, and if a problem arises with the iPod and I take it to the store for support, will I not be serviced based on the content of my iPod?
Again, sorry if these questions have already been asked and answered, but I just feel better that my own personal questions have been answered, and I don't have to tag on other questions to a different thread.

    1. Handbrake
    2. Handbrake
    3. From the iPod tech specs:
"H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats"
    4. iTunes
    5. iTunes
    6. Yes, assuming you convert it first to a supported format. Use iSquint.
    7. You can't just change the file extension, you have to actually convert it. Use iSquint
    8. export a quicktime movie, then use either Quicktime Pro or iSquint to convert it.
    9. No. The content of your iPod will have no bearing on service (unless you install iPodLinux on it, which voids your warranty).

  • Imovie 08 closing while transferring video

i am having a problem with imovie closing everytime i am transferring video to my computer. does anyone else have this problem and can it be fixed?

I also had & still have this problem, however it only occurs when importing full HD video's (1920x1080).
As I can presume, you also use the HDD video- full quality. Try any result by using a lower quality of video, although you did spend your money for a full HD video.
I tried ImovieHD 6, an earlier version of iMovie 7, while it seems this version would really be able to handle the full HD format.
And yes, the importing succeeded, but after the import has finished, it seemed to be impossible to view or edit the imported files, as in QuickTime, there only appears in the monitor a green surface, while I can hear the sound of the video.
The only thing to try, is buying Final Cut Pro, which claims to handle with any format.

  • Problems transferring video to pc on the 6790

I am having problems transferring video from my phone to my laptop.  I downloaded the PC Suite and had no problems with my pics, but the video won't play once it transfers to my laptop.  Any ideas on what I need to do to get them to play?

What program are you using to play the files on your computer?
The procedure should actually be the same, connect via data transfer and drag and drop is the simplest for me.
Do the videos play while they are still on your memory card by any chance
