Make sure you are using a valid credit (not debit) card. All your billing information must be absolutely correct including spelling and punctutation. Check it against a statement.
Any discrepancy results in a "your security code is incorrect" message, which is understandably misleading.

That's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

We have an Apple id that has a bunch of purchased music on it, but our children have changed the account details and the password, and the secret questions and now we can't remember any of that information, even our birthdays are not correct. HELP???

we have an apple ID that was set up in my wife's name. The kids have changed the account details and no-one can remember the password. They have also changed the account data and none of our birthdays are recognised by apple. We have no way of re-setting the account. The secondary email address we used when setting up the account is no longer accessible so even this option doesnt work..
What can we do as we have a large amount of purchased music on this account???

1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID. You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate. Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME and visa versa.
4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

HT3702 for some reason suddenly itunes will not accept my visa debit cards security code and i have no idea why... all the information is correct but it wont accept the security code.. Please help i cant purchase or update any app or anything

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Yes it fixed, I called my credit card company and found out what was the problem was because I entered the month of credit card wrong , I also called iTunes support And they also helped me too

When opening email on Iphone 5 keeps saying password is missing for icloud account? I have checked and triple checked all account details and I can access icloud on all other devices

New iphone 5: whenever I check my email, as it's checking the icloud account it keeps popping up "Password is Missing". I have checked al my account details and I am inputing everything right and can access icloud on other devices. I've rebooted my iphone and still no go - any suggestions?

You have to do the following to get your new Apple/iCloud ID signed onto your device:
1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old email address (do not verify it - this is temporary):
Apple - My Apple ID
2.     Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and Delete the iCloud account. Use your current Apple ID password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the account
3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to your new email address (you may need to verify it again)
4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with your new Apple ID. Turn on the options you want sync'd with iCloud, give it a little time to push the info down to your device.

I don't dispute that fact at all, but I know for a fact I had 2.81 GB as download on my account virtually before I even started using it, 150 mb belonged to me as download, and 4 gb for occasional play on runescape doesn't add up either, both his computers are running on Virgin, not the BT internet connection, and why can't I log into my own account as the password doesn't match and have to reset it many times, I suppose thats another .5 gb used as well ???

This is rediculous. Nobody on these forums are any help. There are tons of people who are having this problem and Apple is doing nothing. Personally my card just up and stopped working the other day. It works every where else but iTunes. I think this is what Anita is trying to say.

Sometimes the issue isn't really the security code, but the ZIP code or the form of the billing address.
