Forgot security question to download the software

Go to:
https://appleid.apple.com/
Click "Manage My Account", sign in, and go to the Password and Security section. Answer the security questions and you'll be taken to a screen where you can then change them. If you've forgotten your answers, there will be a link on the "Please answer your security questions"  just under the fields where you can have a reset email send to your Rescue email address.

    Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.

    A new page will open.
    Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
    Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
          tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
          "done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
          Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
          should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
          selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
          should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

    Cannot purchase music due to security question answers forgotten. Really , I purchase itunes card, can select music  but before it downloads Itunes asks for my security questions, not just passsword, cannot use $25 in itunes credit, but iphone apps update using only password, help?

    If you can't remember them then go to Express Lane  and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
    Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
    Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
    You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox) - but some recent posts are saying that Apple have temporarily suspended the reseting of security question/answers whilst account security processes are improved, so it may take longer.

    You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
    I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
    If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

    I forgot the password of my Apple ID that I used for downloading apps when I newly bought my mac book back in 2011 October.
    Now I forgot the password and also the security question.
    Also the email service provider has stopped their email service and hence m not able to use email authentication as well.
    Now I am lost, how will i update the applications that I downloaded using this Apple ID.

    this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

    I forgot the answers to my security questions.  When I go to the link for help remembering my security questions it sends the email to an email address that is not mine.  And I don't know how to make it send to one of the two correct email addresses I have entered.  Any suggestions?

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Customer Service held me on the line for 30+ minutes asking me all the time if I rememeber one anwer to my questions (to which I repeatedly said no) and there seems to be no way to circumvent that security system, not even with my second email, also registered on My Itunes. Isn't there any way for me to get those 20 dollars back I already have in your store or at least reset my security questions if I don't rememeber?

    Trying to access our public library's ebooks. Downloaded the software,(Overdrive Media Console) but am getting an error saying: Current version of MP Security is 2.5.0.0 and I need 2.5.0.1. How do I do that so I can read the ebooks? People have suggested to use IE but I much prefer Firefox HELP!

    Try updating the Media Player while using Internet Explorer. The Windows Updates site uses ActiveX to perform its' functions. Firefox doesn't support ActiveX.

    Click here for information. If you can't reset them through the method described in that article or by sending yourself a rescue email(the email may take a few hours to arrive), contact the iTunes Store staff via the link in the 'Additional Information' section.
    It isn't possible to create a rescue email address without correctly answering two of the questions. Nobody on these boards can reset them for you.
