I bought an app called Spycell--it's just ahoax; a prank to play on friends (& a dumb one at that.) It looked different before I paid for it, then afterward, it described that it's a joke you're paying for. Anyway, I've heard of people getting ripped off after buying an app like this...has anyone heard of it? Now I'm worried they'll suck $ out of my account!

You bought this idiotic app (sorry, no offense, but just reading the description and reviews I cannot believe anyone would spend money on such a thing) iTunes. When you buy via iTunes, the app developer sees none of your payment or personal information - the purchase is processed entirely by Apple and the developer only knows a sale went through (sort of like using Google Checkout with an online vendor - the vendor knows the sale was processed, but never gets access to any of the payment information).
So, the only way this vendor could take money from you is if you entered financial information in the app itself or otherwise sent it directly to the developer.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. If you take the time to read the posts with the correct answers, you will see that the solution is totally different than the erroneous one you have posted.

You can share the same Apple ID in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID.

Once you're on a spammer's list, there's nothing you can do to stop the flood of e-mail messages. You can either control it, using spam filtering (which is what files those messages in the Junk Mail folder), or you can throw out your e-mail address and get a new one.
It's sad, but spam is simply a fact of life at this point, and there's nothing to be done about it. Legislation has been tried, with zero success, since most spam either comes from countries with no legislation or from personal computers that have been infected with malware and are part of a "botnet."

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

How can I prevent Firefox from being on top of Thunderbird?

For example, Tbird is open and on top of Firefox, which is open. I click to Forward a message, then address it. Then click to Send. The Forward screen closes and instead of going back to the Tbird messages screen, it goes back to Firefox. How can I stop this from happening?

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

How can I prevent songs from being duplicated when adding them to my iPod?

One feature I really like about iTunes is that if you have a song on a playlist, iTunes will notify you if you are adding a duplicate song to that playlist. I am looking for the same help managing my iPod.
For example if I have a playlist in iTunes called "AAA" and a corresponding playlist on my iPod called "AAA", my aim is to have the same content on each. If it is a playlist that I update/change on an ongoing basis on my iTunes, my issue is that I have to remember what songs I have updated or deleted off of this playlist in order to avoid duplicated songs when I have my iPod plugged in.
I would like to just drag this "AAA" playlist from iTunes to my iPod and have just the new songs be added to the "AAA" playlist on my iPod.
Hopefully there something I'm overlooking and therefore a way to constrict what is added to the iPod. If you know how to do this, please let me know because this would make iPod music management just as great as iTunes management.

I turned off "manually manage music and videos" years ago and sync my iPods by syncing "selected playlists". Any playlist changes I make on the Mac are automatically synced to the iPods when connected.

How can I prevent Messages from being archived?

I don't want my OS X Messages to be archived, period. Is there a way to prevent that? If not, is there a way to encrypt the archive folders?

Saved Chats and iMessages are saved in the ~/Library/Messages folder.
This folder contains another folder called Archives and this holds the Saved Chats be they iMessages or other service Chats.
In Messages > Preferences > Messages untick the Save Chats on Closing if you don't want to save Chats/Conversations.
What this will not do though, is stop the chat.db item you see in the Messages Folder from holding the "history" to iMessages conversations.
The chat.db item can be viewed in Quick Look although it is not that easy to read.
The ~/Library is hidden by default although fairly easily accessed by holding the ALT key down when using the Finder > Go Menu.
I am afraid I know nothing about Encrypting individual folders.

Hi, i'm trying to make an app for a coin database.
Below a photo of the coin i put a checkbox or a switch to indicate what i have.
When closing and reopening the app, all the checkboxes or switches are unchecked.
Is there any way to let the app remember what was checked or unchecked.

Are you using a gallery to display your coins? If so, this is what you'll need to do:
Part 1
1. Use a Collect function when the Checkbox is checked (and a RemoveIf function when the checkbox is unchecked.)
2. SaveData function to save the data. This can be done when the checkbox is checked. Use a semi-colon to string functions together.
Example (in the OnChecked):
Collect (myCoins, {ID: CountRows(myCoins) +1, CoinName: txtMyCoin!Text, IsChecked: "true"}); SaveData(myCoins, "MyCoins")
--> This code may not be 100% correct as I'm not on a computer with Siena while I'm writing this but it should be enough to get you started I hope.
Part 2
1. Use the LoadData function when you need the information to be loaded - usually in the OnVisible of a page.
2. In the Default of the checkbox (in your Gallery) add this code: If(ThisItem!IsChecked = "true", true)
--> Again, I'm not in front of my computer with Siena so I may be off here. I'll edit this post if I'm way off.
I hope this gives you a good start. I can provide better examples if this isn't working for you.
FYI - The code will look different if you're not using a gallery. Hopefully you are as it sounds like the way to go in what you have in your example.

I have an iPhone and an iPod touch, and whenever i sync my iPhone, all the apps from the iPod Touch are added on it and vice versa. How can I stop this from happening?

Whenever i try and sync my iPhone, I get all the iPod Touch apps on it then have to maually delete them.

I have the same question, but can you clarify something please. I have about 10 apps showing in the apps section of iTunes - all of which I am happy to have on my iphone - but NOT on the Touch.
1. How do I 'delete' the apps wrongly synched to the Touch, and
2. For the future, when I download an app. hor do I ensure it is only synched with the iphone and not the Touch. I have very space left on the Touch and don't want to clutter it with unwanted apps.
