After upgrading to iOS7, my phone keeps bugging me to sign into my iCloud account when I can't remember my password. When I choose to resolve this, I never get the confirmation email back to reset my password and I've tried on my phone and on iCloud to reset my password but I never get the email to do so. Thus, I can't sign in and the pop-up asking me to sign in keeps popping up, it's driving me crazy! All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available spare

If your Mac meets the requirements, installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after instaling the combo installed. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
If you have anti virus software installed, you may need to disable that in order to install Lion.

Thanks for the question. The symptoms you are experiencing can result from an Apple ID address that has been changed prior to signing out of all of the services. Before you change the email address associated with your Apple ID, you’ll want to sign out of all services to avoid this. As a fix, you can temporarily change your Apple ID back to the old address:
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
2. Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
          - Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
          - Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
          - Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
4. Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

I have something similar going on, but not exact. I basically have a useless phone here because I restored the phone but supposedly when my son's father redid the phone years ago for our son he added the phone to HIS apple id (on find my phoen supposedly) which he no longer has nor uses. I need to restore my iPhone but it wont let me until i turn off the find my phone feature but the icloud account it makes me enter a password in i no longer ahve access to. So i need a way to either turn the feature off aother way or to reset that password.

I'm currently able to sign into Skype using my Microsoft account details. However Skype will not let me change any of my account settings without my Skype password (which is different to my Microsoft account details). I need to update the email associated with my Skype account as it is defunct. Howwver, I cant change it without remebering my password and I cant reset my password because Skype keeps using the defunct email address. Arrrgh!
