HT201303 im trying to recover my apple ID

im trying to recover my apple ID

If you mean that t's disabled then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch then try logging out of your account on the device by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

  • I am trying to recover my password for my second apple id.

I apparently have two apple id's. I am trying to recover the password for the second id. When i go through "iforgot" i am asked for my birthdate but then i am told the birthdate entered is not accurate so i cant get past that screen. Also when i try to have it emailed to me, i never receive it. I know the id is valid because i use the id on some of my other apple products. If i do a search for the id i only get the infor for the promary (first) apple id. Thanks for your help.

Have you looked in the spam folders for the email?

  • I dropped my iphone 4s in water and now everytime i plug it in it show a charger pointing to a itunes thing i have tryed to recover it but its not working!! what do i doooo?!?!?!

i was at the beach and was washing my shoes off then it fell in the water it was working alright but then it died and will not turn on and keeps showing the same thing i have tried to recover the iphone a couple of times but its saying the same thing.. do i have to go get it repaired if so how much... please help!!!

If you are talking about the warranty from Apple that would have expired when your iPhone hit the water. So it doesn't matter. Just take it to Apple and purchase an out of warranty replacement for it.

  • Can I transfer music from an iPod to a computer? I lost music on my computer, and I'm trying to recover what is on my iPod.

I have a 60 GB iPod that has over 2000 songs on it. Somehow I lost a number of songs on my iMac. I am trying to recover the songs from my iPod and reload them in my itunes library. The Library now has 1600 songs so I'm down by at least 400 songs. Does anyone know how to move the song from an iPod to an IMac running OS X 10.9.2 Maverick?

The songs on the iPod will not copy over to the new/different iTunes library.  The sync process is only one way and that is from iTunes to the iPod.  The only exception to this are iTunes purchases which can be transferred from the iPod to iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases with the iPod plugged in and appearing in iTunes.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

  • TS3694 getting a 3014 error message when trying to recover my itouch. All PC software is currect, I have disconnected all USB ports and even turned off all security and still get a 3014 error. I got this after I upgraded to IOS 10.7.0.21

I am getting a 3014 error message when trying to recover my iTouch after upgrading to 10.7.0.21. Everything worked fine until the upgrade. My PC is current with upgrades, I have unplugged all USB connections and I have disabled my firewall security.

    Did you try this:
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

  • I'm trying to update my iphone but it stuck up ..... I tried to recover it but to no avail... it says error 1015..... help pls..

I'm trying to update my iphone but it stuck up ..... I tried to recover it but to no avail... it says error 1015, wht should I do???

Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred and you are now trying to restore to an authorized, default state.  Very rarely this error is caused by a hardware issue and requires service.
    Resolution
    Try these steps first
To perform some of these steps, you need to be logged in to the computer as an administrator. If you are not sure if you have administrator access, contact the owner of the computer or the system administrator.
Note: If necessary, review the steps for restoring your iOS device.
You can resolve most restore errors by following these basic steps:
Collapse All Sections  |  Expand All Sections
    1. Update to the latest version of iTunes
    2. Verify that your operating system is up to date
    3. Disconnect other USB devices
    4. Check security settings
    5. Restart your computer

Also , when trying to recover. I get the error "can't proceed phone locked" in itunes. As I write this, itunes is downloading 1 item which is going to take 14 Hours.
    JEEEZ, ARRGH!!!!

    Hey midnitebloo,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone is disabled. Have you tried putting the iPhone in recovery mode? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
    Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode, which will erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
    Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK, then restore the device.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,

I'm trying to recover my lock screen picture file. It is a very important picture to me and I cannot find it in the backup (not that it might not be there, I just can't find it). What do I need to do to recover this file?
If it where the wallpaper I would just screen shot it, but unfortunetly it has all the extra stuff on it.

    Hi Carollmt,
I love sharing playlists with people too.  The instructions for syncing an iPod can be found at the following link:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351
If is the first time you are syncing your husband's iPod with your computer, it will remove his music currently on his iPod and replace it with the music you are trying to sync.  If you don't want to remove the music currently on your husband's iPod, you can transfer your music to his iTunes library using Home Sharing.  Expand the Home Sharing section in the following article for steps to setup Home Sharing and use it to transfer music:

MS word keeps crashing on my macbook air. it tries to recover all files when I try to open it then immediately crashes or freezes. It's ms word 2011 and I'm running OS X 10.7.5

I am having the same problem. When I save a document in word, particularly with track changes and comments, it freezes and crashes. I fould this forum as I was reading help posted in a previous forum and the "helping" comments were saying this must be a problem on the user end - but that can't be right as so many people are posting this problem. Its clearly an incompatibility between the software from two competing companies. Figure it out Apple!
