Is there a way to setup a rescue email after you have created your Apple account? I did not setup the security questions or the optional rescue email. Now I am stuck. I presume I cannot receive the reset email to set security question answers because I do not have a rescue email.

I am in high school and I made my Apple ID account at least 3 years ago in middle school and I used my school email as the recovery email. I have forgotten the correct response to my security questions and I no longer have access to my old school email and I was wondering if there was a way to change that email now. The rescue email address and alternate email addresses are different settings/addresses on an account, you won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Could you explain more about what you mean by "assign component parameters" because I dont understand. Is this something I would do before it closed? If they are on the iPod there are third-party programs that will transfer then to a computer. See:

If they ae not on either the iPOd or the computer they are gone.

iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses.

I see lots of questions about rescue emails etc. I am having problems with security questions as well I don't remember ever making those security questions either. So I am wondering of there is a way of making a rescue email address without calling the apple support team in which I do not wish to go through a whole bunch of people taking hrs to actually get it done , my dad has had experience with this before and isn't happy with calling them either because he has to recall so many times and go through the process over and over again so. Is there a way with out calling them?

This only leads me to calling apple support to change things ,in which I wish to not do so, I have money on my account in which I can't use because of these security questions in which I did not put up and when I made this account on iCloud it did not give me the chance to make a rescue email. Ok so my phone turns on. People can call me and I can swipe and answer their phone call. The only thing that is wrong is that I can not see what I'm doing on my phone. The screen just has a bunch of lines going up and down it when I turn it on. It's like the matrix without the color green. I can plug it up to my computer and sync it and manage music and stuff like that. So picture this, If I was blind, then I would have no clue that my phone did not work. So now on to the question. Can I see the messages in my phone or possibly anything at all? Is their a way to plug my phone up to my computer via usb cord and be able to see what I'm click on by like pulling up some window on my computer? Or could I just access my messages and phone calls to see if anyone has called or texted me through clicking on specific folders inside or outside of itunes. I have a Macbook Pro by the way. But there is no way to get this info from Apple / iTunes. You will need to use a third party to get this information.

is there any way to setup a email account for sending only? i have a pop account that i fwd to my google acct, so all my mail is mapi thru google/exchange. i do need this account as a send email address so currently i have entered a wrong password so i do not duplicate my inbox. its annoying as i get the bad reteival popup continuessly. Many email products, like outlook allow you to decide which accounts to download. it should be a simple fix from Apple, but dont think there is any one to talk too about this. other option is to use the gmail app or chrome, but like apple's email better for iphone Any ideas??

I've spent about 2 hours reading various posts on this question and I believe the answer is "No", but I will still ask.
My wife and I have shared an email account in Mac Mail for a number of years. Our internet provider is COMCAST. Recently, I set up her own email account in Mac Mail. However she would like it to be private without me or anyone else being able to access it. Since we don't have a login to access the MacBook Pro we share, we obviously can access each other's files easily. So, Is there a way to password protect her email account in Mac Mail so that to open it, she has to enter a password?
I've tried to set up seperate Mac Mail windows...no luck
I've tried to alter the account under System Preferences...no luck
We are running OS X Mavericks...and 3rd party software (ie Thunderbird, etc) is not preferred because of her familiarity with Mac Mail and the need for her continued access to our shared account.
Any help would be appreciated....AND PLEASE NO LINKS TO MACFORT

My advice would be to create a new user account for your wife.
OS X is a multi-user OS. It is designed such that each user has their own workspace. Combining two people into the same workspace does not work well, as you have seen. None of Apple's software is designed to work such that you have multiple users accessing different data from within the same user account.
