    Yes. Delete the Apps that were not Purchased using Your Apple ID.
    But a Restore as New is the way to go.

    Yes, I just tried playing a 10-second mp3 file I acquired from The Oatmeal and didn't once pass my external hard disk.  It's a simple, monotone, high-frequency sound, but I get the same results: VLC's UI is still responsive, but its functionality freezes up, i.e. the buttons are still animated, and the menu still works, but there's no sound, the progress bar doesn't move, and the file doesn't play.

  • I am getting "Connection was reset" when trying to load any of the "My Yahoo" pages. Other sites appear to work, and trying the FAQ suggestions did not work

    When I tried to log into my my.yahoo.com page, entering my user ID and password, I got the following error message:

    I am able to open the same page in Windows Explore 6.0 and 8.0, and when using Firefox on a different machine
    Also, last week, everything worked just fine.
    So it appears that something must have happened to the

  • TS4147 I have followed the instructions in this article several times and am still unable to delete the duplicates from my i-phone. The i-cloud does not have any duplicates. Anyone know a fix?

    Been into iCloud and checked my Address Book which does not have any duplicates. However, try as I may I cannot delete the duplicates on either my iPhone nor my Mac. I've tried the 'delete duplicates' instructions many times to no avail. Anyone any suggestions?

    Sounds like it's hardware issue. The iPhone warranty is based in the original country of purchase. Since it was bought in Korea you will need to ship the phone to someone you know in Korea to be taken in and then they will have to ship it back to you. The cost of shipping will be at your expense.

    Hey guys, First time posting here so forgive me if i'm in the wrong place.
    Anyways I'll get to it, Basically I just logged onto my Online Banking account which my ITunes Account is also linked too and I just noticed I had been billed for $41.71 on the 19th September.
    The only information that was given to me was 'APL*APPLE ITUNES S (numbers here, not sure if i should post them) CA USA'
    I am very certain that I did not make this purchase, I logged onto my ITunes account and checked my order history from the last 18 months and there is nothing there. I'm also confused because my ITunes account is actually linked to the Australian Store and the description says USA..
    I made a support ticket to Apple, Just wondering if you guys could give me some tips or help within the meantime.

    It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
    First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

    If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
    As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

  • Purchased a 2011 iMAC i5 500GB from a retailer about a month ago. Did not have any recovery disc.

    Had a couple of small issues with some programs, Called Apple Support and after they weren't able to solve the problems, Their answer has to erase the hard drive and reinstall the OS. Only problem was that I am not the original purchaser and when I try to reinstall through internet recovery, being the second owner, there is no record of me purchasing the OS (Lion 10.7). So now thanks to Apple Support, I have a paper weight instaed of a working iMAC. Is there any other way to get an OS back on my machine?

    Did you complain to the manager of the store?  If I were you, if you are not getting satisfaction from the retailer, complain about them on their FB site, Twitter & write a letter to the CEO of the retailer & snail mail it! 

  • I joined the cloud, but did not see any of the new bells and whistles in photoshop CS6

    I joined the cloud today and was looking forward to the new stuff in photoshop.  I currently own CS6 stand alone.  I opened an image and none of the new options(advanced sharpening, bridge as a filter, etc) were there.  I did click update when on the photoshop CS6 app when I downloaded a couple of the new apps.  What should I do to get a version of CS6 that has all of the advancements???

    I have it solved.  I know about the update for Lightroom in June, but the cloud version of photoshop has plenty of new features and "bells & whistles".  I had a plain vanilla photoshop CS6 that I purchased a year ago.  I updated to the cloud yesterday and the only action available for Photoshop was update.  I did & it was the same old plain vanilla... no 3D( I didn't have extended), liquify and blur gallery could not be used with smart filters, etc., etc.  I was supposed to get that with the cloud.  I figured it out during a restless night.  I uninstalled CS6, opened the application manager and reinstalled the CS6.  Then I went into the help menu of the new extended version(3d now) and updated.  I now have all of the new features and "bells & whistles" I was supposed to get when upgrading to the cloud.  I am sure there are others in the same boat or will be soon.  Adobe should see about correcting this in some way.  Complete upgraded version should be available after one pushes the upgrade, even if they have a lesser version(non-extended) available.

    the most likely cause is your edge being unable to contact the CDP and/or accessing the CRL. most likely, this is happening for the internal certificate.

  • I entered a mistake in my passcode and now the passcode window will not accept my correct passcode. What can I do?

    since i upgraded to ipad 7 ( i think thats what it was) i have been required to put in a passcode every time I open up. ( This is extremely annoying!!) Now since I entered my passcode ( why does it have to suddenly be called a passcode and not password ... as if its not bad enough to have "passwords", IDs,etc etc!!)  with an incorrect letter included in it the ipad will not accept my correct password.   • HT5622 An automatic subscription renewal  did not go through my stolen card which was stopped at the bank. Now I cannot do any changes to my payment method with my new card because of incomplete billing that is not paid. What do I do?? Frustrated.

    My problem is that the iStore does not want to accept the new card that I have received. How do I pay for the last incomplete billing which did not go through because the credit card was stolen and was blocked before the store can deduct the subscription fees??
