HT201303 Stolen iPhone w/out an security password has locked me all my password protected account.

I've been waiting to re-activate my old cell (via Assurion Insurance/Verizon) as I expected there would be usage & I'd be responsible.  However, tomorrow I plan to notify the insurer for Verizon as no calls have appeared as charges.  Not "IT" savy, however; I suspect that whomever has my former cell; replaced my sims card & activated it under their personal #.  My basis for that contention is I regularly used a minimum of 7 e-mail accounts in addition to approximately 100+ miscellaneous password associated accounts and I am bounced & locked out of each & every one. However, yesterday & today I found two exceptions to accessing "iTunes" & iCloud, albeit I've yet to be able to use iCloud except to see several messages from former email accounts sending me multiple notifications that my email account passwords were changed.  Problem is I tried to respond regarding comprimised password & found that despite including that address as an alternate contact; the email bounced back stating something to the effect that since I'm not using the ios from whence same email address originated; messages cannot be sent? Any simple sequential steps anyone can suggest to retrieve all the data I've accumulated since 2001 when I switched to a Verizon Cell would be greatly appreciated.  FYI: Beware & exercise caution w/ respect to using security features; backup everything regularly...I didn't.  Now, I'm paying the price for it cuz my Calendar, approximately 35 folders, emails, contact info, applications, gps, etc. are gone...hopefully, I can figure out some backdoor means of retrieving them cuz FYI e-mail Accounts aren't responsive to either phone calls re:  this matter or responsive to emails requesting assistance. Anyone have any ideas; or perhaps found themselves in the same lock down? Thx, dasqm PS Formerly synced iPhone w/ either my MacBook 10.5.8 OSX or MacBook Pro Mountain Lion or Gateway 2000; however, the Town's water pressure was set too high & water leaked thru the ceiling frying them after my phone was stolen.  Therefore, no repository of old material aside from accessing iPhone data if even retrievable.  Just purchased an ASUS Windows 8 the day before yesterday, so there's nothing on any computers.

You wouldn't want to use a Panther Disc to try to change the PW or even to repair the HD.
It sounds like your HD is dead, bit...
OK, restart your computer, hold down Command-s and type in the following:
/sbin/fsck -fy Enter
/sbin/mount -uaw Enter
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone Enter
reboot Enter
Once you've done that the computer reboots and it's like the first time you used the machine. Your old accounts are all safe. From there you just change all other account passwords in the account preferences!! (if it works at all)

    Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
    If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
    If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
    sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers. 
    If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID password sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
    If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
    contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
    Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time.     I recently damaged my internal hdd for my macbook and when to order a new one, then my service centre loaned me a internal hdd for the time being, then on the first day, i signed in to my paypal, facebook, hotmail, google etc, then i forgot to reset safari, i forgotten if did i click remember my password. So next day, i when to school, switch on my mac, the blinking question mark sign appears, thus, the repair man took it back. And i left my mac there. Ok, i wanna ask is that will my password in my safari be gone? Or when the disk is repaired and the next loaner who use it will see my passwords?

    The answer is that Safari doesn't store your passwords. Rather, Safari communicates with an encrypted database called the Keychain to store and retrieve passwords. There's one keychain database, the Login Keychain, which is created with a key that is the same as your login password. To retrieve your password data, someone would have to guess what your login password was. Changing the password won't give them access, they need to know your password (or at least figure it out).
    So, your passwords, if stored, are stored encrypted. How hard to retrieve them will depend on what your login password was. If it was 'password', someone determined enough could likely stumble across it eventually. If your password was 'X8t$$3a7TY', chances are that they'd never guess it.

    You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
    You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

    I recently redownloaded "find my friends" to my iPhone, and tried to log in and couldn't. Now I use my iTunes account with the iCloud also, and I can't access my iCloud account either. My password has never changed for either services, my account ID was not changed or misspelled, and I shouldn't have any other accounts either. Silly me decided that I should to log out of my iCloud and log back in but it won't accept my password. Am I missing something some where along the way? I can still download apps with the password but why can't I log in to my iCloud account anymore? Can I have different passwords with the same account? If so how do I change one with out changing the other also?

    As long as you can't spell I wouldn't worry about it.

    I've been asked to refresh an old directory instance with some production data.  Easy enough I thought, however, the user has requested that all user passwords within the old directory instance are preserved.  Is that at all possible?  My chain of thought was that I can extract user passwords from the old instance into a file: -
    # ldapsearch -D cn="Directory Manager" -w xxxxxxxx -b o=xxxxxxx objectclass=* userpassword > <name of file>
    And then then use ldapmodify (or alike) to re-import the user passwords once I've refresh the old instance with the production data.  However, to my knowledge, in order to modify a particular entry via a file, i'd need the following format: -
    dn: gci=-1,ou=people,o=xxxxxxxx
    changetype: modify
    replace: userpassword
    userpassword: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    The only information I have in the file I created using the ldapsearch command above is as follows: -
    dn: gci=-1,ou=people,o=xxxxxxxx
    userpassword: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    I don't want to have to edit the file and add the relevant missing entries accordingly as the generated file has somewhere in the region of 150 thousand entries.
    Am I approaching this the correct way?  Is there any other mean of achieving my requirement.

    It does not seem a big deal to add the missing lines to your output file.
    For instance, the following awk command should do the trick
    cat search.out
    dn: gci=-1,ou=people,o=xxxxxxxx
    userpassword: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    cat search.out | awk '/userpassword/ {print "changetype: modify} ; print "replace: userpassword"; }  {print $0}
    dn: gci=-1,ou=people,o=xxxxxxxx
    changetype: modify
    replace: userpassword
    userpassword: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Then you can use ldapmodify to apply your changes

    I started getting the 'password has expired' error in my SOA server log today (six months after installing my SOA Suite 11.1.1.4 development environment). I found a tip in an old forum thread:

    and changed the password expiration time as suggested, and bounced my SOA server hoping for the best. But I'm still getting the password has expired error. Is there a way to clear that out so that I don't have to go back and figure out which user(s) are being affected and what their passwords should be reset back to so that my SOA environment will work again?     If you never set up a voice mail password, you need to contact your carrier and find out what the default they use is (often it is the last 4 digits of your phone number, but it varies vy carrier, so call them and ask).

    My iphone 4 version 5.0.1 has just deleted all my contacts without any explanation. Suddently my girlfriend called and I could only see her number, not her name.
    I went to contacts and there was nobody in there!!! Even more, there are also no contacts on my ipad mini!!!! That's weird. What's happening?
    I have gone to www.icloud.com and although there are some contacts, contacts are not synced with the latest updates, I also don't know why.
    The most important thing in a phone are its contacts! I thought that apple was providing a complete backup solution, but I am afraid it is not reliable.
    What can I do? What can Apple offer to me?
    Is there a way of restoring an icloud copy directly from the iphone? I have thought on restoring and updating to ios7 and ask for icloud to put my backup copy of today in the morning, but it is possible that icloud does another copy and rewrites the 7am working copy. I have disconnected wifi in order to avoid a copy on icloud without contacts.

    I have the exact same problem and judging by the other posts we are not alone. The one thing that seems to be lacking is any official word or support from Apple - a "bury the head in teh sand" strategy appears to be the chosen response from one of the worlds biggest brands.
    I took it to my Apple store and they were about as much use as chocolate over gloves and told me "this can happen sometimes"???? Seriously, this from an Apple Genius!!??!?!?
    I have not had any joy with iCloud back up so I'm afraid I cant offer any help.
    I will be going to Twitter and Facebook to try to get some action from Apple so I suggest we all do the same and create a noise that Apple cannot ignore....
