Help I keep getting a message in safari that it cannot open the page unless I turn off private browsing
This can be done in settings
I had never set up private browsing
Going to setting I cannot see anything that let's me shut off private browsing
Can somebody help .

To visit sites without making history, turn Private on or off in Safari.
To turn on private browsing, tap Safari, then tap in the lower-right corner. Tap Private to turn private browsing on.
Note: If you're using an iPad, tap , then Private.
or private again to turn it off.

If the setting is greyed out perhaps you have restrictions enabled that would prevent someone from changing accounts. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts.

unfortunately no, a million people are attempting to update their phones right now, and thus activate them. Patience will have to suffice.
For the future, I would recommend not updating essential work devices on the launch day

I keep getting a message to update mozilla, yet it says I'm using most current version. Download has a virus that my computer rejects.

I am running Mozilla 28 and keep getting a message to upgrade to Mozilla 29. When I try to upgrade, my antivirus software rejects it saying it's infected, yet, when I go to Mozilla it says I'm running most current version. How do I stop these messages?

Could you check your download history for the source of the problem file?
Sometimes bad upgrade links are generated by an extension. You can review, disable, and often remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Use either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column click Extensions. I suggest disabling anything unrecognized, or which you do not remember installing, or which you do not plan to use for the next 48 hours.
Firefox will provide a link to restart if that is needed in order to make your changes effective.
Any difference?

Tap the + in the upper right corner. You should then see a link for Private in teh lower left. tap that to escape private browsing.

However, I keep getting messages now 'New iCloud Terms and Conditions' in a window that constantly pops up. When I go to settings to log into icloud, it is locked with a grey screen. What can I do? Also, I had gone throught he process of syncing all 3 of my devices Ipad2, mini and my iphone5 to have the same passwords, etc. for ease of use. Now that seems to be all wrong as well. HELP! I need these devices for my work and I'm short on time to go to the store, but will if I have to.

Had to reload i tunes following hard drive reboot now cannot acess i tunes stor keep getting error message "unable to connect to the internet connection timed out " but I have no problem getting onto the internet

Had to redownload i tunes following hard drive reboot but now cannot connect the i tunes store as I get the following error message " itunes could not connect to the itunes store the connection timed out " I get this message as soon as I click on the store.

what more do you need to know? i get this message "Script: chrome://vidbar/content/downloader.js:117" and the browser is useless until i restart.

I was having the exact same problem while browsing some sites (Google news, Google image search, Youtube).
It was caused by the "Screenshot Pimp" extension. I uninstalled it and all is OK now.
It looks like this extension packs a lot of "generic" code that is not used by the extension but could be used by other extensions from the same publisher (Mediapimp).
So if you have this extension try removing it (not just disabling it). If you don't, look for other extensions like viddownloader, Youtube downloader, Video downloader, Mediapimp, etc. and remove them one by one until your browser is back to normal.

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
followed by Enter.
launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
3 - try again.

I've a message concerning an issue with my recycle bin. I wish to chat with Microsofts Windows Fix-it Center online. The message that they send says: 'you must first temporarily disable your browsers pop-up blocker to enable this chat'. Nothing more, nothing less, sounds simple & innocuous, right? All my question is, is how can I accomplish this???

Virgin use the Optus network here in Australia - which is why, the 3G phones showed you connected to the Optus network, and not to the Virgin network...They don't have their own network, they piggyback on Optus - which is why it would show that it is locked to Optus!
They also said they would unlock my iPhone 4 - which has been done! So there's obviously something wrong with the phone...

I had previously had years worth of Christmas music in my iTunes. When not the holiday season I obviously deslect it so that it does not play. I thought it was all backed up to the cloud, but now upon trying to recover it and resync it to my phone for travelling, I cannot find it anywhere. Is my music gone for good?

Why did you think it was in icloud?
You can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries, but this does not apply to music not purchased via itunes.
