Meaning enter your username and password?
Are you signed in - Settings>Store>Sign In? Maybe try in the App Store in the bottom left corner - you can access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store - check there.
If you are signed in correctly - try signing out and then sign in again in order to refresh the account information.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in. Then try to redeem the card again.

I can't log into my iTunes account on my iPhone 5s. I logged out a few days ago to trouble shoot because I was trying to redeem some iTunes cards but when i pressed redeem nothing happened. I then tried to log back in immediately afterwards. I was unable to do so. After clicking "sign in" at the bottom of the apps main page, it brought up another menu where I clicked "Choose existing Apple ID". After pressing this the menu disappeared and nothing happened. I tried this multiple times and received the same result each time. I tried the other available option of creating a new AP ID to log in with and that one worked perfectly fine. I am clueless as to why the log in for me is either not able to load or just completely blocking me from getting back into my iTunes account on my phone. Not only can I not listen to the music I currently have, but I cannot log in to purchase the new music that I wanted to with my unused iTunes gift cards

I have the same problem too and tried alot of things like time zone , restarting or changing DNS of wifi connection to 8.8.8.8 still nothing happens .. !!

I have done a lot of restores to the Iphone, and resets also.
I;ve done holding both buttons as you sugested, but there is no signal appearing.
I am in Uruguay, South America and the original company is Movistar ( Telefonica) and the new sim card is from ANTEL ( the officail and biggest company in my country).
I don;t knoe what todo.
I have been trying for more than one mont.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Make sure you're using the correct code. For most iTunes cards, the code is under the scratchoff area on the back of the card. The support article from which you came:

I tried to do this on my ipod touch and i did everything correctly but whenever i click redeem , it keeps on asking me for my password. Over and over again and it refuses to redeem the card. What can i do to fix this?

What has this to do with Pages?
You need an Apple I.D. which has a password the same as the one you used to post here.
You don't have a password? It won't accept your password? You haven't registered your iPod Touch with your Apple I.D.? Where exactly is it going wrong?

It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes)

If the store that it was bought from is close by then you could try going back and asking them to activate it properly. i see in my right hand corner of my itunes, my amount left over (on my itunes card) next to my email..
when i click BUY in itunes, to redeem my left over amount, it is asking for my credit card information, and not letting me go any further with the transaction...

Make sure you are only trying to buy music or video. In Canada, you can only buy apps with a credit card; gift cards won't work for apps.

Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON?
The Interface that connects to the Internet, needs to be drug to the top of System Preferences>Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
