HT201317 Cant find photo stream in iPhoto

Ipad, Iphone have photo stream but cant seem to find it on my Mac in iphoto.  There is nothing on the left handside menu for photo stream.  Is there anything I need to do to have it appear or am I looking in the wrong place for it.  Just returned from vacation where I loaded all photos off my camera to my iPad thinking I can photo stream them to my Mac later so stumped as to where to go from here.
Appreciate any advice.

To use photostream on your Mac, you need OS X 10.7.2 or better and the latest version of iPhoto. Do you meet these requirements.

  • HT4890 I cant find photo stream on icloud but i have it on my iphone

I recently droped my phone in water. I am looking to get my photos onto icloud and I know that I have photo stream on my iphone 4, however I cant find them on icloud.

The image files aren't viewable in a browser. They are "pushed" via Wi-Fi to your other devices that have Lion or iOS 5.1.

  • Can't find photo stream on iPhoto

When I first had my iphone in September 2012, my photos were downloaded directly to my macbook through icloud.  Now, I can't seem to see the photos I took on my phone on my computer.  Does anyone know why it would stop working?  Do I need to update iphoto?

Here's what you need to use iCloud and Photo Stream:
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later
The above is from this Apple document: iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
If your MacBook meets these requirements then try the following:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • Can't Find Photo Streams in iPhoto 9.6 (Yosemite)

    Just upgraded to Yosemite.
When I click the iCloud item under "Shared", I see all of my last 1000 photos in "My Photo Stream".  What's missing are the 30 or so photo streams I've either joined or created over the past year.
I see them on my photo / iPad, so I know they are there.  Is there a bug / issue where iPhoto can't see these right now? Or is there some magic setting somewhere that I'm missing?
    Adam

Go to iPhoto's iCloud preference pane and uncheck the My Photo Stream and Photo Sharing checkboxes.  Close iPhoto, relaunch, go back to that preference pane and recheck those two boxes:

    Hi shldr2thewheel,
it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
Sincerely in need of help once again,
    Kim

  • How get all photos from photo streams without iPhoto

Hi to make A long story short, I lost a Hard Drive with iPhoto on it... Including all my baby's pics ... However I can still see them in the photo streams on my idevices.. First off without that Mac how can just grab all the photos off photo stream without iPhoto?
Secondly, if I can install iPhoto on another machine or drive will that help or hurt me? Will all the photos show up under my Apple ID and can I just copy them or am I running any risk of deleting the streams?
Is my only option to copy photos from photo stream a few at a time? And does that not repush them back up to the stream and erase older photos?
    Thank you for any help!!
Yes I know I am a complete idiot for not backing up or using online backup service...

If you create a new library on another Mac, set its Photo Stream preferences to
and log into your iCloud account on that Mac and enable Photo Stream,  the Photo Stream photos will automatically be imported into the new library. It can take a while depending on how many photos are in the stream.
When you're done log out of your iCloud account and copy the library to a flash drive or DVD (if small enought) till you get your new drive.

  • HT4906 How can I subscribe to a shared Photo Stream in iPhoto

I'm trying to use iPhoto to subscribe to a shared Photo Stream from my sister-in-law.  Whenever I click on the invitation, it says I need to sign in to iCloud -- which I have multiple times now -- and be running iPhoto 9.4 (which is actually 9.4.2).  So, I've satisfied all the necessary steps, but it's not bringing up iPhoto on my computer.  I have Photo Stream on iPhoto configured to allow subscribing to shared Photo Streams.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Figured it out with a helpful hint from someone elses post.
I have two iCloud accounts.  My System Preferences had iCloud configured with the wrong Apple ID.
The email that gets sent when someone shares a Photo Stream might mention something about the System Preferences -> iCloud needing to be configured if you want to see the shared stream in iPhoto on a Mac.

    Hello lisefromdavis,
    Thanks for the question.
Your photo stream will be located on the left hand column (referred to as the Source List):

  • How to delete pictures in photo stream in iPhoto

I have a whole bunch of pictures that I do not want to keep in photo stream in iPhoto on my macbook.
When I select the files I want to delete, it only gives me a quick "white" blank and does not respond.  Dragging the photos to the trash can does not work, either.
iPhoto has been my worst nightmare ever since I got my macbook.  It is just way too difficult to organize or keep track of my photos.  I need to visit this forum every time I need to do the simplest commands like deleting a file or transfering a file.
    Please help.

Where are you selecting the photos you want to remove from the Photo Stream?
This should work:  See: How to delete photos from Photo Stream
On a Mac using iPhoto 9.2.2 or later, or Aperture 3.2.3 or later:
Select a photo or group of photos from the Photo Stream (or My Photo Stream) view in iPhoto or Aperture.
    Press the Delete key.
    Click Delete.

  • Photo Stream in iPhoto not updating

My family has multiple iOS devices.  We utilize Photo Stream.  Pics on one device show up in Photo Stream on all devices.  That is okay.  When I open iPhoto on my MacBook, the Photo Stream doesn't contain any of the pictures from the devices.  Why is this?  Is there a way to fix?

Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane
and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Then log back in and re-enable, respectively makins sure Photo Stream is selected in the System preferences. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I'd like to disable Photo Stream in iPhoto '11 so that the thousand photos don't use up memory on my iPhone and my iPad. How do I disable Photo Stream?

  • Cannot find Photo Stream on Mac / No iLifeAssetManagement folder

I want to access my Photo Stream without iPhoto. Supposedly, these photos are located in the folder found at: ~Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub. However, I do not have an iLifeAssetManagement folder -- and it is *not* because it is hidden, as I can see my hidden files. It simpy doesn't exist.
I just upgraded my Macbook Pro from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion -- so perhaps this has something to do with it.

You have to download the iCloud Control Panel on PC
