HT201317 how do I take old photos in my album on my ipad and have them go in my photo stream to see on my iphone.  It's only streaming the new ones I take..

I want to take my older photos in my Ipad and have them streaming to my iphone and computer..  As of now it's only streaming the new ones I take.. Is there an easy way to put the other ones on my photo Icloud stream so I can view them from all of my devices?

That's by design; photo stream only uploads photos taken after turning on photo stream, not earlier photos.  Adding earlier photos to photo stream can be done in a couple of different ways:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot.  This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll.  This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once.  Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll.  These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream.  (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)

You can't get a url for my photo stream; only for publically shared streams.

  • Workaround--How I put old photo stream on new device

So I bought a new iPhone and turned on PhotoStream and was pretty upset that only the last 30 days worth of photo stream photos made it back to my device...  I did a lot of reading and found out that nothing was set-up wrong, it was just the way photo stream works.
Here's the skinny, for any device only the last 30 days worth of photo stream will be transfered to said device upon activation of PhotoStream--for those of us that want to have their old photo stream photo's on their new device there is a work around.
First, open iPhoto and select "iCloud" from the menu bar on the left, this will show you your photo stream. What was curious to me was that my iPhoto on my Mac Mini had 376 photos, as did my trusty old iPad, but not my brand new iPhone 5S, it only had 100 photos... This is actually how PhotoStream works though.
So to fix the disparity, and to keep from KEEPING duplicates, you need to go back to the first photo in your PhotoStream on your computer, for our purposes we'll call this photo 1 in your stream, and then highlight through the latest photo that is NOT on your new device, for me this was photo 276.
Next set-up a new folder on your desktop, and copy the missing photo's to the new folder.
Now, wait for them to copy to the desktop folder, this should take a few minutes,,,
Next, go back to iPhoto and delete the selected photos from your photo stream, a warning comes up and says this action cannot be undone, hit ok.
Then select all of the photos from the new folder, and drag them back to iPhoto, if it asks you about duplicates, hit import.
Now, wait while your photo stream re-builds ( this will likely only work for 1,000 photos or less )
Once the photo stream is correct across your devices, for me it was my Mac Mini, my iPad and my iPhone, go back to iPhoto and select the "Last Import" tab from the menu bar on the left, select all of the photos (they are dupicates) and delete them from there.
You will be left without duplicates and a rebuilt photo stream across your devices.

Set it up to use the same Apple ID as your other device, then sync your computer to it in iTunes.

You have to have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac to create an iCloud account.  However, if you tell your friend to create a shared photo stream and turn on Public Website, he/she will then be able to send you a link that will allow you to view the photos on the internet using your web browser.  You would not be able to comment on the photos as this requires an iCloud account, but you would be able to view them.
You can refer your friend to this link for assistance with this: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.

How do I transfer a photo from my pc to my iphone? My other iphone could do that but this new one is not letting me transfer from the pc to the phone.

Make sure you signed in the same iCloud account on your phone (Settings>iCloud) and on your PC (on the iCloud control panel for Windows) and that you have turned on photo stream on both devices.  Also make sure you are putting the photo you want to add to photo stream in the photo stream uploads folder on your PC.

  • HT201317 how do I save my photo stream photos to my camera roll? It's not working.

how do I save my photo stream photos to my camera roll? It's not working.

Photo stream photos are not included in your backup, only camera roll photos are.  Photo stream photos can only be accessed from an iOS device or computer that is signed into your iCloud account and has photo stream enabled.  However, they only remain in iCloud for 30 days; if the photos are older than that they are no longer available to download.
If the photos were in the camera roll on your 3GS when you last backed it up, restoring the backup to another iPHone should recover them.  If this is an iCloud backup, you'll need to do this before the backup is 180 days old or Apple will delete it.
If you need to restore the iCloud backup to your 4s, back up your 4s to your computer using iTunes, then restore the iCloud backup of your old phone to it, import the recovered photos to your computer (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then restore your phone to the iTunes backup your made earler to recover your data.

How do I save my photo stream photos to my PC? What do I enable in my control panel?

You can just import them using your usb cable without buying anything, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  The iPhoto iOS app is for editing your photos, it won't import them to your PC.

  • HT201317 how do i turn off photo stream on my pc

how do i turn off photo stream on my pc? becuase i deleted itunes from my computer and its still on and it still gets my photos.

Go to control panel, search for 'iCloud", double-click iCloud to open the iCloud control panel for Windows, then uncheck photo stream.  If you want to keep any photo stream photos on your PC, be sure to copy them to a separate folder (outside of the photo stream folder) before unchecking photo stream.

  • Older iphone maybe is better then the new one!

Lets compare the two iPhones shall we?
1st Gen. iPhone - Pros: 10$ saved a month in payments, get the 2.0 iphone software
    Cons: No GPS, No 3G
    3G iPhone - Pros: GPS, 3G
Cons: 10$ more a month on your monthly payment for the 3G pretty much, Older iphone is about the same except for the GPS and 3G!
-- So basically if you are planning to keep the older model iphone you get the same exact things as the new iphone just no GPS or 3G. So if you dont care about 3G or GPS you save money and get the same thing as the new one!
I hope i helped some confused people out there because 20 mins ago i was really confused about the monthly rates and what not and im not about to pay more a month for 3G that i dont need personally understandable that others do so hope i helped some people out!

With a 3G iPhone when connected to a 3G network provides for being able to receive and place calls while actively accessing the internet.
This isn't possible with the 2G iPhone when actively accessing the internet via EDGE.
If you don't live in an area that has 3G network coverage, or don't regularly travel to areas that do on business, this is not important. This alone is important to me, since I live in an area where at&t recently added 3G network coverage (2-3 months ago or so), and I've missed a number of business calls that went straight to voicemail while I was actively accessing the internet via EDGE.
I don't SMS that much. I've come close to exceeding 200 in a month, but I've never gone over with my iPhone during the last 12 months.
The 2nd generation iPhone and the cost of available SMS plans isn't for everyone, and neither was or is the first generation.

  • How can I retrieve old Photo Stream photos from a lost iPhoto Library?

My laptop was stolen and with it an external drive that had my iPhoto library.  I had an old backup and when I opened the backup and turned on Photo Stream, I saw all my old photos appear again!  After a short while, it was removing old photos from the photostream and replacing them with newer ones.  I'm now missing months of Photo Stream photos that I really want back.  I tried creating a new library and enabling Photo Stream to try to capture those missing images, but I am not able to see anything older than Oct.  I could really use some help if somebody knows a way to get those memories back...
    Thanks
    -Rob

    I had an old backup
What kind of backup? Do you have a Time Machine Backup of your complete system from the time before the laptop was stolen?
To restore the Photo Stream images from that time you need to restore the folder
    your home folder /Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/Assets
This folder contains the PhotoStream pictures that were part of the PhotoStream at that time.
To restore this folder from TimeMachine, open a Finder window showing this folder, make it the active window, and then enter TimeMachine. Go back in time in the TimeTunnel, till you see the correct date. Don't restore to the library but to a folder on the Desktop.

  • How do i set firefox to remember my user id and password for yahoo mail. i've changed my yahoo password, so i want firefox to remember the new ones.

I want to know how to set firefox to remember my yahoo mail id and password. i've changed my password, but firefox only remember the old password. So, i've erased it in the security settings.

If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password.
Yahoo uses "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords, so you need to use the ''Remember Password'' bookmarklet.
You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or if you refresh the login page.

  • The iCloud id on my iPhone does not change to the new one set up with iCloud on my MacBook Pro Maverick

I have recently upgraded to Mavericks and bought an iPhone 5s. Initially I used the id already registered with Apple but changed it after a few days having used it on both my phone and MacBook Pro. Once I changed my id on the website, my MacBook Pro is fine but my phone has not synched the new id although any changes I make to Calendar, Notes, Contacts, etc do synch between them - puzzling. How can I change the id on my phone - in Settings it does not appear to be possible.
    I am on OS 10.9.2 & iOS 7.1
    Many thanks for your help.

    Go to website.
    Change it back.
You will have 2 minutes to delete iCloud from iPhone.
Change it to new one on website and verify.
Sign in new one on the phone.
