If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

The external DVD/CD Writer will Not appear on your desktop when you attach it to your iMac. It will appear in "Finder", which is in your Dock.

You don't import the project.
I'm going to assume that both the trial version and purchased version were 10.1.
Open FCPX and then Open Library>Other, Navigate to wherever you stored the library (ies) you worked on when you used the trial. Choose that library and your work should be in one or more events in it.

Go Admin > Collection Settings > Config > Config Archive Settings
Make sure enable shadow directory is Checked
Also check you have folders like shadow , devfiles ..etc under NMSROOT/CSCOpx/files/rme/dcma
If these folders are missing ... then it is a database issue..
if files and folders are fine then check if it happening for any particulr device or set of devices or all the devices ?

Look in the Dock or the Applications folder for an installer for Lion. Then run it.

same problem for me. I am using abe edition 3 as I don't think 4 can be used with kobo. Book has been downloaded to kobo but it can't be read as it is not authorised.Help please

1.        Uninstall the adobe 11.0 flash player first even if it shows as a recent install
2.       2. Install adobe flash player 11.0 and make certain you download from the Adobe website not a liason website! Important!
3.       Once installed fully and the prompt tells you that you have successfully installed adobe flash player 11.0 …
4.       YOU must RESTART your computer regardless of what the prompt states at this point in time
5.       Then when you have successfully completed shutdown/ restart and your computer reboots to normal operation…
6.       You may receive or you may not receive a prompt stating that something new has been installed on your computer
7.       If you receive a prompt after restart follow the prompt and do as it instructs you to.

Cannot find a place to define the UOM of our CMIR entries

We currently have a requirement to create customer material number info records for certain consignment customers. However, while doing so, we cannot find a place where we can define the Unit of Measure of our CMIR entries. We can specify our material number & the customers' material number, but we cannot specify for which unit the customer material entry applies to. Most of our materials are composed of 3 units:
-     Base Unit - which is the inventory unit of measure
-     Sales Unit - this is the unit at which we commonly sell the items, but there are certain consignment customers whom we must bill in base unit.
-     Other Unit - Usually KAR (Carton) which is a higher unit compared to the sales unit. Commonly used for large bulk orders.
In the case of our consignment billing, we must be able to define at which unit the materials are supposed to be billed to for each specific customer.

I moved to Mac from a Windows machine where I had downloaded all of my CDs into iTunes. When I got my Mac it only put my purchased items into my library. So I merged my windows library and it created a whole new user account with that on it. I now have two libraries and can only sync music with one account or I lose all of my imported CDs. Help! How do I merge them.

The easiest way is to get both computers on your home network and copy the files over the network. It's easier than you think

That thread mentions Target Disk Mode, which won't help moving from a PC to a Mac. But you can use file sharing to copy the files.
As the articles all say: don't forget to de-authorize your PC before you get rid of it.

After yo successfully download the file, plae the iPod in recovery mode and try a restore.
It sounds like the file is not fully downloaded before the recoverymode expires on the iPod.

I have 4.0 installed, have downloaded 5.o several times but cannot install it - the message is that I "don't have permission"; using a mac book pro OS 10.6.

Have been unsuccessful many times in updating firefox. I get the messages: do you want to replace earlier version? I click yes, then get message stating I don't have permission to install the newer version. There has been no asking for a password to install this on my Mac, which is what I assume may be needed for the installation.
How can I achieve this?
At times I have been offered ( by firefox) an opportunity to connect with their updater, but this connection has lasted 30 min., with no success, so I have closed the window.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Install the new version that you have downloaded

Thanks for the link. I just downgraded to the absolute shtfest that's 4.0. I WAS just fuming about how gawdawful this "new" version is, but after wasting so much time trying to sort thru all the issues caused by this 4.0 downgrade (past updates have always been seamless and troublefree - not so for this shtfest!) I'm flat-out RAGING!!! Fortunately the laptop still has 3.6.xx running - it's the LAST version of Firefox it will EVER see. I switched to Firefox so many years ago to get away from the insanity and frustration of Explorer - if this 4.0 crapshoot is the "future" of Firefox, then the incompetent nimrods responsible for it know where they can ram it. I'm starting the search for a new browser now - so long Firefox, it's been fantastic while it lasted, but you've gone and screwed the pooch, you've ruined a superb browser!
I'll attempt a reload of 3.6.xx on the desk machine, and if successful I'll run it till it drops, or I find a suitable replacement browser, but 4.0 won't be coming back - GOOD RIDDANCE!!!
