HT201317 IPad and PC syncing of Photostream not working?
Hi, my ipad says that sync will resume when my Windows PC is available. ie no photos are loading to iCloud. I`ve checked that Photostream is ticked on PC - any ideas where I`ve gone wrong? Thanks.

I want to use photo stream to take photos automatically to my PC but No Way! My iPhone doesn't allow me to do.
The only option to take photos&videos to my PC is by clicking the iPhone in "My Computer" Screen so it is so uncool and oldschool.
I want to make it automatically when I take the photo; I think PhotoStream must make this in that way.
So For Jobs's Sake, Solve this Problem...

Syncing only works from your computer to your iPad/iPhone, not the other way around. So you can only transfer your purchased music from the iPhone to your computer.

How bad was the crash? Had the drive to be replaced? Or is there a possibility to use data recovery software on that drive? -
Iphone 6 and Ford Sync Bluetooth Does Not Work
Brand new iPhone 6 paired with My Ford Sync in a 2014 Escape.
Bad news, the bluetooth phone features simply do not work. You can initiate a call form the Sync and the phone will dial and connect, but 5 seconds into the call the bluetooth disconnects the phone audio and returns you to your radio or whatever source you were listening to.
The call appears to remain active on the iPhone but you can't access it.
Sure hope Apple or Microsoft/Ford step up to fix this soon it is a real show stopper.
Nothing like in the field beta testing.I had a similar problem with my 2011 Ford Fusion and brand new iPhone 6 received yesterday. I restored my iPhone 5 to my new iPhone 6 when I received it. My iPhone 6 has the same device name as the iPhone 5 did. I was able to pair my iPhone 6 with Sync easily, but Sync would only ring on incoming calls. I could not answer the incoming call or initiate calls through Sync. I was able to correct the problem this morning by:
1) Forgetting This Device (Sync) in the Bluetooth application in the iPhone 6,
2) Deleting All Devices in the Sync Phone Bluetooth menu.
3) Re-pairing the iPhone 6 with Sync.
Apparently the same phone name stored in Sync from the iPhone 5 was corrupting the settings for the iPhone 6 using the same device name.

I am quite new with a mac computer. But i think i nearly tried everything, i have no idea what else could help...
My iPhone and iPad are working perfektly in the wlan. My iMac works very rarely. Yes it worked once by manual ip, but later it did not work again.
Wlan always works (sometmes it takes a few seconds until thesymbol is fat, mostly it starts with "no internet")
I tried so many things...
- manual ip found out by my windows pc
- $ in front of the password
- the apple faqs on the websites
Very strange, but i hope someone solved an comparable problem already ;)

And another thing: in other wlans the iMac worked perfectly... Without any manual settings etc.

For the release of iOS 6 last fall Apple decided to replace the Google Maps app with Apples own Maps app. That is why you are seeing these changes. A new Google Maps app was released for the iPhone but on an iPad you need to go to Google.com, select Maps and then create a Home Screen bookmark that will allow you to quickly get to Google Maps.

FaceTime between an iPad and MacBook on same wifi not working
I have an iPad 2 and a MacBook running on the same wifi network and have been unable to make FaceTime work for either of them. Works fine when we call someone with an iPhone or they call us. What are we doing wrong?
It's not working because you are basically calling yourself.
Test with another person who has an ipad or iphone, that's not sharing the same apple id.

I have tried all the usaual kind of tricks, i.e., deleting my icloud account, toggling the photostream on and off, I've even reset my photostream? anyone have any other ideas I could try?

just downloaded an update to the game hexagong and when i started to play it it wouldnt move off the first screen any suggestions on how to fix this?
1. Double-click the Home button to close all Inactive Apps in Task Bar
2. Hold the Apps in Task Bar down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close Apps
4. Tap center of screen to return to Home Screen -
Question: I have a mac and an ipad. when i create an ical event on my mac and then sync, the event transfers to my ipad. HOWEVER: when i create an ical event on my ipad and then sync, the event does not transfer. what am i doing wrong???

Go to Apple > Software Update and install all available updates until no more are offered.
On iPad go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates.

I'm not able to update Smurf's Village. Tried most of the things proposed on the net including restarting the iPad and trying syncing with the computer. Had a similar issue with another application. Had to delete and reinstall it, with all history lost.
Tried following up with the developer's instruction. Didn't help. Developer suggested contacting Apple if their instruction didn't work. Tried the various methods recommended on the Apple site. Same result.Telling is that you tried most of the things on the net doesn't tell us exactly what you did try, so we are all still left to guess .....
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again
If that doesnt work - go to Settings>General>Date and Time - set the date ahead by a few months. Try to update again. If you get an error message of any kind - go back and change the date and time to automatic again. Then try again.
If that doesn't work, restart your router and reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

I'm having the same problem with my 4S. I have to constantly reboot my iMac or turn off my phone a few times to get it to sync. Before when I had 5.1.1 everything seemed to work just fine. I'm sure its a bug......
Both my ipads running 5.1.1 have zero issues syncing via wifi or directly plugged in. -
Just got my iPad and when syncing photos will only sync recent photos taken on iPhone - will not sync any photos from my albums or events despite selecting all events or even when i select specific events or albums.
What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I bought a book from itunes with my ipad. after syncing my ipad and iphone the book did not transfer to my iphone. Any suggestions? I might add that I an technically handicaped
If the book isn't on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to copy it from the iPad by connecting the iPad to your computer and in iTunes doing File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync it to the iPhone (connect the iPhone to your computer, select it on the left-hand side of iTunes, and use the Books tab on the right-hand side to select and sync that book). How do I get my iPad and IPhone synced where if I delete an email off one it is deleted off the other device? I can get all the Apps and music from one to the other but why won't the emails I delete off one not delete off the other? Is there anyway where I can make this happen?
As James says, make sure that you are using the IMAP servers for your email. You will need to check the help pages for your email provider to get the correct settings in all your devices. POP really doesn't fit the needs of todays mutiple access, always on internet, so you are better off moving to IMAP.
