HT201317 Is photo stream available on Windows XP?

I would like to set up photo stream on my Windows XP laptop, but not sure if it's possible. The instructions on Apple's website are for Windows 7.

Photo Stream is not compatible with Windows XP.

Hi..Im new to all this but can someone tell me if the pictures on photo stream on my windows PC stay permenantly or do they get deleted every 30days?

Hi...
If you delete the photos from Photo Stream on your phone, they will also be removed from your computer. If you simply turn Photo Stream off on your phone then they will not be deleted from the computer.
Hope this helps.

Set up the same iCloud account in Settings>iCloud, then turn photo stream to On.

Having trouble with iCloud Photo Stream on a Windows Vista 64 machine.  Can you tell me why Photo Stream will not stay enabled.  When I reboot, it will disable not to mention that it will not get any pushed photos.  Is there a 64 bit version?

Hello tw_mama,
I was looking into the issue you are experiencing and found an article that may shed some light on the subject. It's called iCloud: Account troubleshooting found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3988
This section in particluar:
I get an "Unsupported Apple ID" error when I try to sign in to iCloud from my iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you may not be able to create an iCloud account with your current Apple ID. If your Apple ID works in the iTunes Store, App Store, Game Center, FaceTime, or with other Apple Services, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. Also, if you created your Apple ID while you applied for a job at jobs.apple.com, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. If you cannot use your Apple ID with any Apple Services, it might not be compatible with iCloud. Contact iCloud Support for assistance.
All the best,

• HT201317 My Photo Stream not uploading all photos automatically

Hi All - I have a PC using Windows Vista.  Not all of my photos in My Photo Stream are uploading automatically as they are supposed to.  Only some of them will load.  It is very sporadic.  How can I get all photos to upload to My Photo Stream?  Thanks for any help!

It sounds like you are using Photos, not iPhoto, since iCloud Photo Library isn't available in iPhoto.
In Photos, My Photo Stream shows up in the Albums tab, see this help article: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.0/?lang=en#/phtc0bf4b9bb

• HT204053 how can I join an photo stream on a windows 7 pc. I have an apple id.

I have been invited to join a photo stream by a friend who only lives in the apple ecosystem. I have a Windows 7 machine and no apple devices. I do have an Apple ID and have installed the WIndows iCloud application. However, when I try to log into iCloud or join the photo stream, I get an error message saying that the Apple ID is valid but not for iCloud.

• Why can't I use photo stream on my Windows XP?

I am backing up my iPhone using the iCloud but I realized that I can't access my photo stream from my pc. When I checked the iCloud Help on setting up my photo stream it says I have to have Windows 7 or 8. My computer works just fine so I'm not changing it to 7 or 8.
How can I access it on my Windows XP?

You can't.  iCloud, and therefore photo stream, requires Vista SP2 or higher.

• How to permanently disable the Shared Photo Stream on a windows pc

I've tried to disable the Shared Photo Stream - but when I log off my windows user account an then log in again, the checkmark next to the Shared photo Stream is back, and iCloud starts again downloading the shared stream.     5. When the .cdr file is finished select it with mouse and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info and check the box to lock the file;
6. Choose the .cdr file from the left side list, click Burn, and insert a new, blank DVD or CD.

• HT201317 My photo stream just stopped suddenly.

I cannot get my photos to upload on to my PC. It used to work - now it doesnt. This all started about a month and a half ago.  I have established a new folder and also downloaded the new software - still nothing. What can I do here? I have a PC by the way.

You might want to uninstall the iCloud control panel for Windows (listed as "iCloud" on the uninstall programs list), then install the latest version from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.  Then make sure you are add them by doing the following:
Open Windows explorer, select Photo Stream under Favorites on the left sidebar:
Click on Photo Stream, then to the right double-click on My Photo Stream.  Click on Add Photos on the top the menu bar:
Select the photos you want to import, then click Open.

My phone and computer was working fine, however I can't sync any photos from photostream to my pc?  I made sure the photostream is turned on.  It keeps coming up applephotostream has quit working.  Windows seaches the problem and says there isn't any solution at this time.

Fixed it, had to delete the folder where the My Photo Stream was.  I just created a backup of it and then deleted it, let iCloud re populate the folders and it came back.

• HT1349 HOw do I view my photo stream on my Windows XP computer?

I am unable to view my photo stream from my IPhone on my computer.  Photo stream is working on Iphone fine.

You can't sign into iCloud using Windows XP.  It currently requires Windows 7 or 8.  You'll have to access your data on icloud.com using your browser.
You can add your iCloud email account to the email client on your computer by using these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864, but that's about it.

My Photo Stream has suddenly stopped pushing photos from my iPhone 4s to my PC although they are appearing on my other iPhone. Any ideas why or how to fix the issue? I have not altered any settings.

Hi Kevinmvb,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below may be able to help you with this.  It sounds like you may have moved your photos out of the Uploads folder where they need to reside.

• TS3989 Pictures that I have taken on my Iphone 4 are no longer syncing to my Photo stream on my Windows PC.  I have photo stream checked on my Iphone.  Any ideas?

Pictures that I have taken with my Iphone 4 are no longer syncing to my Photo Stream foleder on my PC.  I have Photo Stream checked on my phone? I worked yesterday.  Any ideas?

        •    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
        •    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
        •    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.
