  • Inbox on my ipad hasn't updated for two days

    the inbox in my ipad  Yahoo mail account has not updated for two days, it keeps continually checking for mail but nothing comes in! It is working fine on my iPhone!  I'm not terribly technically minded so just wondered if anyone had any ideas??

    Try deleting the account and readding it. Yahoo is doing things to their servers and it mucks up your mail app. Sometimes it resolves on its own, other times you can fix it by deleting and readding.

  • Unable to activate photoshop C3  as helpline is not answering,I have been ringing for two days..!

    I am having real problems contacting the adobe helpline to activate my software, I have been ringing for two days and its always engaged.. Unfortunately The motherboard on  my macbook pro failed ( and it was only just over two years old, so out of its warrenty)..
    Anyhow  I cannot therefore de-activate my photoshop software on my old computer, so therefore I am unable to activate on my new computer I just brought..
    It is so frustrating as i have all the discs infront of me, but I only have four days left now to use the software that I have paid for and own..
    Does anyone know of other phone numbers I could use, as the ones I have tried on this site are always engaged, I really can't afford to go out and purchase the software again.. Has anybody else come across this problem and how did you solve it..?

    I thought when I received your email it was somebody directly from adobe trying to help me...! indeed it was not a wise thing to do. I have deleted the post..
    With the greatest respect I have tried calling quite a few numbers and at different times and if you have read other posts on this forum you will see that they have had similiar problems to me..
    Anyhow I have had a nice email from Tracey an adobe person and hopefully she will be able to help me out.

    Hard reset by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake lock button (BUtton on the bottom of your display, button you use to turn the screen black) hold them both down for 15 seconds till you see the apple reappear

  • My Mail has frozen - can access my hotmail through Safari but Mail now has a blank rectangle on the screen and the inbox underneath it has not updated for 2 days

    Mail giving problems. Small white rectangular box comes up on screen and inbox underneath has not updated for 2 days.
    I can use Safari to get new messages but, since getting this laptop, when I go to Hotmail via Safari old messages self delete every so often, whereas via Mail messages stay in the inbox unless I actually delete them. Any suggestions?

    Here is a photo of what I see when I tap on the mail icon to open it. It stays there for a second or two and then goes dark. Then I actually have to put my iPad into sleep mode in order to use it again. The app will NOT close no matter what I do, just shutting it down or put it in sleep and then restart  it.
    here is when I tap the mail icon. It looks like an empty page but you will see the format of the mail page. Next photo is what is see after a second. And the last photo is what I see before the iPad locks up or Les blank. I hope this makes things clearer as to what the problem is. Thanks for your help, hope this helps! Diane May.

I have all my apps, contacts, even my photostream back, but my camera roll has said "downloading 137 of 1,345" for two days.  I really don't want to have to start over as the whole process took almost 3 hours. Help?

    Someone mentioned that syncing with ITunes, making sure that photos are being synced - even with an empty folder, fixed the problem.  I tried it and it didn't work for me.  Anyone got any answers that don't include losing the photos or erasing and restoring from backup again?

    I keep getting installer package error messages, I uninstalled the previous version to see if that was the problem to now find that I cant reinstall it as the new version is the only one available.
    Im using Windows 7, I'm assuming Im not the only one with this problem.
    Would a complete uninstall and reinstall of Apple software be of any benefit or is that just a cure all solution when nobody has an answer?

  • Podcasts haven't updated for two days

    iTunes hasn't updated any of my podcast feeds since Friday. It is set to update every hour, but it is not doing that. All of my podcasts last udated Friday at 2:10 pm.
    I tried restarting iTunes and restarting my computer. I deleted one podcast and then added it again from the iTunes store. It updated when I added it, but it has not updated since then.
    If I click the curved arrow to manually update, it spins once, but does not update.
    I don't know if it's related, but the app store seems to be having issues as well.

    UPDATE:
    I went to Preferences - Store and unchecked "Sync podcast subscriptions and settings" and they updated again. If I check that box it goes back to not updating.
    Maybe I'm misunderstanding that feature, but it doesn't seem to be working to me.

    Do a search in this forum for getting rid of pirated apps. Pirated apps are causing this issue for you.

  • Sync not working for two days. Cleaning doesn't help.

    At first it was showing:
    "Sync encountered and error while syncing: Unknown error"
    Today it shows:
    "Sync encountered and error while syncing: Server incorrectly configured."
    Same on all computers I have synced. Tried cleaning out everything, same problem.
    Yes, I have updated sync to new one. And yes I have updated firefox. Versions 32.0.3
    I think problem started approximately after firefox update.

    TThanks Meg-when I got through to Apple tech support, that's exactly what they had me do, but It still had to go further. In Settings I hit Delete Account (very unnerving), watched my messages disappear, then hit Add Account, re-entered my account info, and everything came back, including updating my messages. Success! Safari started too.
