HT201317 Once I have loaded my photos on I cloud Can I delete them off my I Phone to fee up memory

I am new to using Icloud, once I have down loaded my photos from my Iphone to Icloud can I delete them off my Iphone to free up memory

You could but you're taking a chance on losing them if you do.  Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days.  If you ever lose your phone, have to restore it, replace it, or turn off photo stream, you will only get back photos from the last 30 days.
To make sure your photos are safely backed up, import them to your computer while they are in the camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  You will get an option to delete them from your phone after importing them.

  • IPhone 6, and storage.. Why is my phone saying that I don't have storage, when I have transferred all of my pictures to ICloud, and deleted them off of my phone. What is going on...???????

I have uploaded my pictures to ICloud, and i have deleted them off of my phone. My phone is saying that it is out of storage, and that pictures take up more than anything else on my phone, How can that be, I am frustrated, and Apparently I am not the only one experiencing these problems. My friends that have the 6+ are experiencing the same issues.

Did you delete your photos in your deleted photo folder? I you didn't their still on your phone taking up space.

  • HT201317 Once photostream pictures are downloaded onto my mac will they stay in iPhoto forever after i have deleted them off of my phone?

Once photostream pictures are downloaded onto my mac will they stay in iPhoto forever after i have deleted them off of my phone?

When I synced my iPhone I my Mac , it automatically created a file called photo stream and imported all photos from phone into that file on my Mac.
Do you mean the "Photo Stream" album in the "Web" section of iPhoto? Like shown here?
If that is the only place where you are seeing your photos, in "my Photo Stream" in the "Web" section of Photo, then you need to copy these photos to an event to import them into the library.
The Photo Stream album is only showing you what currently can be imported from iCloud, and the photos will vanish after a month, so you are having a limited time to grab them.
If you have enabled "Automatic Import" in iPhoto's Photo Stream Preferences, it should already have created an event "July Photo Stream" and other monthly events with the photos from the streams. What find in these monthly events has been savely imported.

  • If I have my photos backed up with iCloud, can I delete them off my phone and will they be saved?

If I have my photos backed up with iCloud, can I delete them off my phone and will they be saved?  We can't do the IOS 7 upgrade and notice that the photos are taking up the most memory.  If I delete these, but they are backed up on iCloud, will I lose them all if they aren't stored anywhere else?

    Hi...
If you delete the backups it will not delete any content from their device, however the data will be removed from iCloud.
It will also prevent the devices from backing up to iCloud in future, unless this is re-enabled.

  • Once I have paid for and downloaded itune songs, can I burn them to a cd

Once I have paid for and downloaded itune songs, can I burn them to a cd?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
Excellent choice of album by the way.

What photos? The backup process doesn't touch any photos on an iPhone. In fact, photos in your camera roll are included in the iPhone backup.

  • I'm having trouble with downloads of Aps. I have several that have frozen during the download. I can't delete them and resetting my iPad or trying the airplane mode has not helped. Any ideas?

I'm having trouble downloading Aps on my iPad . I have several that have frozen during downloading and I can't delete them. I've tried resetting my iPad, airplane mode and going through iTunes and Aps store, nothing has helped. Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem, but different circumstances. Someone gave me their iPod nano to load with tunes. I, myself, don't own an iPod, and the flimsy booklet that came with this device is pointless -- no real info. Anyway, once it was charged, I chose tunes from my library to upload to the iPod, but the entire library began to load (not just the checked selections). I made several attempts to resolve this, including an attempt to restore the iPod to its original settings. Unfortunately, now the computer and iTunes will not recognize this iPod (when iTunes is open and iPod is connected, iPod does not appear in source list, and desktop only reads the device as "iPod", as opposed to what it was originally reading it as) and I can't even get back to the part of iTunes that asks me if I want to restore the iPod. Do I have to bring this to an Apple store, or is there anyone out there who can tell me how to resolve this? I tried the "5 R's" recommended by Apple, but they don't seem to work.

  • I imported photos from iPhone and can't delete them

in iPhoto when I imported my photos into iphoto it gave me the option to delete the photos once imported. Now in Photos I no longer seem to have that option. In fact thee isn't even a trash  can in iPhoto. How can I delete the photos from my iPhone that are already imported? I have 2 Gigs of photos and want to clear them off to make space, but I can't seem to find an option in Photos. What is going on?

Hmm, well I figured out how to get the option to delete photos on import back, you have to turn off iCloud Photo syncing. So to have iCloud Photo syncing on you can never delete photos from your phone? I thought the whole point of the iCloud Photo syncing was to keep all your photos online so you could access them where you wanted, but not have to take up space on your devices for your photos.
And now that I have figured this out I have to re-import my photos again and click the delete checkbox, but the best part is that it doesn't seem to work very well at all. It imported about half of the photos and not the other half, so I am having to import them again and then delete them.
Not only is this behavior not obvious, I really can't understand why the photos just stay on your iPhone if you have icloud sync on. I though the iCloud sync was to save space, not to keep them on your phone and in icloud. I just don't get what apple is trying to do here.

  • If you saved your photos to a computer can you get them back on your phone?

  • My iPhone is nearly full with photos, will the photos stay on iCloud if I delete them off the device?

And if iCloud does store them, how would I be able to view them?

I do not understand the point of icloud.
I too am out of internal space on my device.
1.) If I delete the photos from my device, do they also delete from the icloud? Are they even truly stored there?
2.) How can I view the photos that are on the icloud?
3.) When using icloud to sync to another device (my computer), like syncing my photos using Photo Stream, can I save them on my computer that way??
4.) Can you back up an iphone 4 to a pc without using itunes?

I saved photos from an e-mail to my desktop as well as I-photos. Now I can't get them off the desktop. How can i do that?

    Hello Sungal15,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To remove items from your computer, all you need to do is simply click and drag them to the Trash on your dock.
Delete an item from your Mac
Drag the item to the Trash. Or select the item, then press Command (⌘)–Delete.
Click the Trash, then click Empty. You can also choose Finder > Empty Trash.
When you see a warning message, click OK.
